Pretty sure it was a film. Had a little kid who'd been shown with his 6-shooter toy guns. There's a later segment after the bad guys have been introduced, where he jumps out, his toy guns clicking as he "blows away" the bad guys followed by a cut away from the scene as they imply that he died shortly thereafter.
Pretty sure I'm not just misremembering that scene from Bubba Ho Tep involving the old guy dressed as the Lone Ranger... it was more of a "dive from cover guns blazing" movement than slowly backing up while firing ineffectually.

There was a short film that I found here about a month or two ago, but I cannot for the life of me remember where I found it or what it's called. It was about these two characters, one, a boy looked like a humanoid bird (sort of), and the other was a human girl. The boy was making a doll of the girl, and once the doll was finished it was suddenly changed so it was the reverse, and once that doll was finished, it would switch back. They key idea was that the two couldn't really exist and see each other at the same time. I thought I had seen it from the HONF page, but I looked on New Media, Other, Web Animation, etc. and I didn't see it, nor was I able to find it in Accidental Nightmare Fuel... Any ideas?

All I can remember of this film are bits and pieces, the major thing being that a boy drew a picture of a snake that has swallowed an elephant, and everyone makes fun of it because it looks like a cowboy hat.
It seems the boy travels to a planet made entirely of books or something at one point...
Anyway, I remember catching a couple of scenes of this and thinking I would like to finish it, but can't remember the name.

OK, this is a movie I rented back in probably the early 90s. I got it off the "Cult Classics" shelf of a Red Giraffe Video.
The exact plot escapes me, and so do any of the actors. The male lead was a teens/early twenties kid who was the 80s version of a "greaser". You know, troubled, leather jacket, etc, but in the 80s or beyond, not 50s style.
The thing that set the plot off was a video tape people rented. The movie on that tape was a 1950s style scifi movie, where some lady in a beehive hairdo and "future clothes" was talking with her husband about watching a movie on their home movie device. So she takes out a cassette thing like the size of a cafeteria tray, and puts it in a device. And then bad things happen to the people watching the rental tape in the "real world".
(So I rented a video about people getting killed when they rented a video, which was about people watching a video.)
It was a huge conspiracy that the greaser kid and his girl tried to thwart, but I think it had a downer ending.

From the old page, since I'm not sure where else to put this:
- I asked about a bunch of movies on USENET years ago, here's the only two nobody could remember: A live-action sci-fi film from the 1990s(It has some CGI) in which some kids and their parents from different eras in time are drawn into a future where they partake in weird VR-ish games. the loser has some kind of liquid called "Blue" drawn from them, this "Blue" bestows immortality upon the imbiber, but the imbiber is then "Hooked" on it, and will wither, then die. Without an occasional dose of "Blue". Here's some scenes I remember:
- There is a scene around the start of the film where a huge set of dominos is tipped over.
- There is a scene in the middle of the film where one of the children's father fights in a VR-ish Swiss ski resort.
- There is a scene where some "Blue" is spilled out of a tanker truck, causing a patch of flowers to grow and bloom in seconds.
- It sounds like Timemaster
Yes, that's it! Incidentally, that website strains my confidence in humanity, it sort of reminds me of this

I've been trying to remember the name of a film for the life of me, fairly certain it came out around the early 2000s. It was a caper flick, and it involved some people stealing gold at the movie's outset. As they were driving along a scenic mountain path, one of the guys betrayed them and took the gold. Another thing that sticks out was a thief who left behind a black fox statue, and a policewoman who could open safes. Hope this is enough to go on.

I remember watching this film on HBO or some pay-per-view TV program - the movie was about a dystopian city (or world) where this woman and her husband try to escape. They are attacked by some gang and the woman is about to be abducted by the gang until the husband's brother shows up and blasts them with his shot gun.
Throughout the rest of the movie, the woman and her brother evade the gang and try to get her to some dispatch helicopter for her escape. Some insinuating moments in a hotel, and he finally gets her to the helicopter to be saved. He comes back for some reason and notices that the helicopter people are all shot and the woman was taken. He tracks down their base, shoots people down, takes on bad guy and saves her - the end (I think).
Oh yeah, everyone was pretty much blonde and the woman was pregnant.

A movie from the early 00s, which I watched on Sky around 2002-2004.
I think the movie was about how a corporation of some kind had contracted this computer virus, after some kid plugged his MP 3 player (the source of the virus) into the system. The virus was causing havoc to the whole city, and the only way to remove the virus was to use an unaffected computer, or device. The only device available was this kid's gameboy, and the gameboy was somehow used to get rid of the virus.
I really hope I haven't made the above descripton up on the spot :s

In the mid-2000s, I saw an entirely live-action Asian-made (I feel sure it was Chinese, but it could have been Japanese) film, entirely starring Asian actors, speaking a subtitled Asian language. It was set in medieval China (I think; it could have been Japan), during a war, and featured both armies battling and individual fighting. Some particular scenes come to mind:
1) A massive hail of arrows is fired by an army onto what appears to be (at least partially) a school of calligraphy. While some students are working inside, a master of theirs (a woman) catches a large number of the arrows with her robes while standing on the roof.
2) A series (I think three) of short, similar scenes in which a warrior (either male or female, can't remember), wearing appropriately matching-colored robes perform impressive and pretty feats of nonlethal swordwork (like smashing every pot on a circular set of shelves in one elegant swoop) in a smallish room bathed in one color: red, white and blue were used, not sure if more were.
3) A scene where a male main character with a very long mane of hair (as many of the men in this film did, incidentally) has it combed by a giggling young woman who then has (not explicit) sex with him (or at least just makes out or something). Another woman sees (not in a sexual way at all tho) from a corridor or thru a shoji screen or something.
The whole film was fairly long, very stylized and quite dreamy. Despite its violence, it wasn't gory I think. Its production values were flawless; it didn't look or feel low-budget at all.
Thanks in advance for any help. I hope this isn't too vague, but it's sitting right on the edge of my brain and I burn to find it again!

I watched this several years ago: A film about nazis. Actually about average people in nazi Germany, some nazi supporters, some indifferent, and very few outright opponents, with realistic characters, mostly about teenagers.
I remember finding it on IMDB once, and I believe it was filmed in Norway in the 1980s, but I don't remember the title.

This was a movie about trying to make a guy into a fake celebrity of some sort. I think it was from the mid to late 90's. I think I remember it being shot in an odd documentary style. The only scene I remember is the guy getting some headshots only to find the name on them was wrong.
open(SOLVED) Chinese cop in Paris, sting gone bad Film
A film where a Chinese agent/cop comes to a hotel in Paris for a big sting operation or something, but it goes awry. The French "cops" end up killing the gangster, a call-girl, and try to kill the Chinese cop who manages to steal a camera tape before escaping the hotel. (which involves fire and a grenade down a laundry chute)

Okay. So I saw this movie years ago and I've been trying to find it since. Anyway, the main character is a young boy who has a fatherly relationship with a neighbor. I'm pretty sure his actual father was out of the picture for some reason. Another kid the MC knows is a boy with cancer who is frequently ridiculed by others and held back from activities because of said illness. I specifically remember a baseball scene in which the boy with cancer is disallowed from playing. At some point the fatherly neighbor dies and the boy with cancer (I think) relapses and winds up in the hospital. But, the MC is left something in the fatherly neighbor's will. So, he goes to retrieve it and I want to say it's hidden in a birdhouse in the neighbor's yard. I can't recall what the exact object is...but it's imbued with some sort of supernatural power. The MC could use it for selfish gain, but in the end he uses it to cure the other boy's cancer.
Thanks in advance.

Live-Action, a group of kids have their dog stolen by a company (I think illegitimately for animal testing) and decide to try to rescue him. Bits I remember included them enlisting the aid of a scary old man who owned an amusement park (there was a training segment where they had to work their way toward the center of a spinning disk, I remember). One of the characters had a remote control helicopter gained by eating a massive amount of cereal to save the box tops. They used it first for surveillance (with the inept mook trying to catch it with his dog-catching net) and it was later used to rescue them from a net trap, resulting in the helicopter spinning out and crashing. Right before they left, the kid who owned the helicopter stared at the wreckage and said something along the lines of "And I don't even like <Cereal Name>".
Other bits I remember were them using a grappling hook to get over a fence, a scene where they spoofed cameras, and I think in the net scene, they tried to call the scary old guy but he'd fallen asleep. And I think the people who'd set the net trap were high school bullies who'd been employed by the company.
I remember watching it at a fairly young age, so I don't think it can be later than 1992 or so.

I only remember bits and pieces of this film. It was something about a boy who dreamt he was in a... factory of some sort? And he was trying to escape it or something. Throughout this dream he wore this weird hat with a yellow glove on top. Piano playing was the motif, I believe. One confrontation had the boy face off with two old men with a conjoining beard who ice skate or something. He cuts the beard so they lose their balance and fall over. You know, now that I describe it, this film was pretty strange. There's also memories of him facing an electric fence, while the bad guy's voice yelled "ELECTRIFIED!!", and at the finale, before the boy woke up, the other boy prisoners were all in one room, with hundreds of pianos in a sort of organ setup, and they were banging keys on them and generally screwing around with it. Chop Waltz was being played, I think.

i saw this movie years ago, its about this game console that looks like a jellyfish and they plugged it in theyre necks, also remember a gun made of bones.
also looking for a show from i think uk, rustic looking with a big ball that teleports threw time or dimensions(not shure) and some soldier thingys that gets feed through hoses with green liquid

I saw this ages ago on late night tv, a British movie, at least the cast sounded british, probably 60s but takes place in the earlyish 20th century, definitely in color.
Young man in love with girl, her father, a car enthusiast at a time when cars were new, hates him so young man tries to impress him by getting a fancy but very difficult to drive car, the father will allow them to marry only if he gets his driving licence. At the end he takes the exam with future father in law in the back seat, is very nervous and seems to be failing until a policeman commandeers the car and orders him to pursue some criminals telling him to forget the road rules. They catch the robbers, but he fails the exam, nevertheless the father is impressed with his driving skills and allows the wedding.
I remember the car being big, green and convertible, full of knobs and levers, and one of the tests involved going up a steep hill, which very few cars could do.
The same cast did another movie with similar plot but different characters.
