openbook series? franchise?
one series featured unicorns who obtained a dragon scale and used it to wish for shamrock, another series featured goblins who stole magic rooster feathers, another featured rainbow colored fairies looking for their lost pets.
open[SOLVED] A children's book with evil cockatrices, forgetful wizard, and magic carrots Literature
I vaguely remember reading a fantasy book, where the villains were evil cockatrices or basilisks or something. They were definitely chicken-shaped in the illustrations, vaguely reptilian, and I think they could also breathe fire. I think the kid protagonist was isekai'd into this fantasy world, but I might be wrong here. One of the allies was a very forgetful wizard. I think at one point he couldn't find his glasses? There were also magic carrots involved, but I don't remember how exactly. (Were they food? Potion ingredients? Some other Macguffin? Idk)
Edited by Andarielopen[1960s?] book about an aircraft engineer Literature
I believe it is set during world war 2, most likely in Britain (I may be wrong about that). The protagonist is an engineer for planes, and one of his coworkers is a conspiracy theorist (of the ancient Egypt religious conspiracy variety). A plane crash plays an important part in the plot, due to conspiracy theorist figuring out something no one else did. Conspiracy theorist also has a daughter who he somewhat neglects (conspiracy theorist's wife is dead).
openfloating house claymation film Film
I remember there being a stopmotion or claymotion film, it looked like the charlie brown claymation style for the characters. The house was floating on water and it moved around often... it was mostly a silent film, i remember watching it on cd before 2016. There was a scene where there was a tree and a lot of items were on it as well, like a hurricane or a bad storm separated half of the house.
openAngry Birds parody Print Comic
I remember reading this (non-comic) magazine that had this cartoon that was sort of a parody of Angry Birds. Except this wasn’t a colorful bird like the ones in the game, but a more realistic bird. And this bird was loading itself on a slingshot. All I know is that it is from a magazine like New Yorker, or Forbes, or Time.
openBook series about an intelligent super computer
I read a Ya book series awhile back about a super computer which meets a guy (a teacher ) and is waging war against an evil corporation.
The guy created a virtual woman in his video game the computer uses to bring to life as it's agent.
The main bad guy initially seems to be this fat dude who uses a chair but it's revealed he's actually a patsy and actor for the real leader of the evil corporation whose his butler.
One of the teacher's students also has a terminally ill sister who is later uploaded into the cyber space by the computer to save her life.
Their were around 5 maybe six issues. Each with an anime 2D style cover.
open2012 EDM song Music
There's this song I heard on the radio alot back when I was younger it was probably released around 2012-2013 and it sounded a lot like an EDM/dance cover of Walking on Broken glass by Annie Lennox
open80s era tv show Live Action TV
So this is kinda random, but I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I’m pretty sure this was from a TV show but honesty could have also been a movie (I know, not entirely helpful) but the way it was shot from what I remember makes me believe it was a tv show. So basically there is this one scene where this blonde woman, who I can only presume was a real estate agent, is showing a man around an LA house in the hills. They are in the kitchen and she starts to seduce him, by talking about how the blinds on the doors and windows don’t let anyone see in. They start to make out and he pulls away to say something but I don’t remember, then continues, she is looking away as he kisses her neck implying this is part of some plan, and then the scene ends by implying the bad Intercourse. I know it’s not a lot to go on but if anyone knows what this is that would be great! Thank you!

Edited by PeterdhillonopenMade-For-TV Disney Film Film
As a kid, I recall seeing a TV movie on Disney Channel about a kid whose siblings were all ghosts and could go through the walls. I think the kid also had a dog that he was going to bring to the school for some magic act.
I know it was a Halloween thing but I don’t know what it was called.
openChildren's Show with Smart Kid with Pet Rat Live Action TV
Something triggered this long-dormant memory the other day, and I can't think what show it could've possibly come from.
I remember a kid in a lab coat talking to us about science while a rat or mouse climbed all over his upper body and head. This rodent wasn't an anthropomorphized character, and I don't think its presence was acknowledged at all. This was a basically realistic live action segment, possibly with sped-up film/video (I remember the mouse/rat being very fast). I want to say it was one of those shows where they cut away to various characters throughout the course of each episode.
I would've seen this when I was pretty young, so let's say The '80s or the very beginning of The '90s. It was well before Beakmans World and Bill Nye The Science Guy.
openNo Title Western Animation
This cartoon confused me as a child in the late Eighties/early Nineties, and my memory of it is still confusing. It was one of those home videos made up of cartoon shorts. Only some or all of the shorts on this tape ended in cliffhangers. And no, this wasn't a bunch of junk taped off of television, it was a "real" home video with a cover and everything. One short was the beginning of an animated Tom Sawyer.
The short I mainly remember had people in a jungle riding big flightless birds with reins and masks. It wasn't Wizards. It ended with the heroes running into a snake that looked like it was "big enough to eat an elephant." To add to the weirdness, the cover of the video (or maybe a title card?) had the characters and bird-mounts drawn to look very different from how they appeared in the cartoon. I think there was a reprise of this cartoon later in the video. Like I said, confusing.
Edited by FloydPinkertonopenkid theater and the great OLD wizard ( possibly solved? ) Live Action TV
cbeebies. don't remember the time, but i watched it somewhere between 2006-2013. might be older, though.
each episode was a story acted out by kids on a cgi backdrop.
i remember one of the episodes rather clearly, so i'll tell y'all about that.
i think this episode's story was about merlin/myrddin ( of king arthur fame )? so around the beginning, merlin walks in. then the narrator ( also a kid, everyone in this show is a kid ) says "no, the great OLD wizard!" or something because they specified that merlin was old and the actor is visibly very young. then a fake beard appears on the actor and the narrator is satisfied. also there was this song that went "merlin, merlin, the great wizard who [something i can't remember]" that the narrator and an invisible chorus sang whenever the wizard used his magic.
i tried looking at cbeebies ( and cbbc! ) shows from this time but i just can't find it! also the "merlin, merlin" song has been stuck in my head for an unholy amount of time-
Edited by noodlesnookopenChildren's TV Show Western Animation
Details are very fuzzy - bear with me.
Aired in the early 90's, possibly on BBC One or Two. One storyline involved the antagonists (possibly called Plutokians, or Blutokians??) using traffic light to change the moods of people. So red would be angry, amber, happy, and green was sad. I may be confusing this next part with another tv show The protagonist had some special ability in that they could travel to places instantly.
Edited by LoopzopenStarry Ballet Show? Western Animation
The show was heavily focused on dance/ballet. It aired on a channel that was availible, though not common, within England at some point around the 2010s: This channel had other shows focused on dance/ballet
The main character was a white girl. One major thing was that the main character could somehow go to a night-sky type realm. There was also a giant starry swan character, and potentially a similar black swan with a white beak and knob. There may have been other characters in the night-sky place
That's just about all I can recall of this show
P.S. I've remembered some more details on the show
The show rarely aired on the channel it was shown on. The channel was exclusively for children's shows, if I infer correctly
The swan(s) at least were rendered in CGI. The main character might have worn pigtails
P.P.S. Here are some more, less related details which could help find this
I'm quite sure that the show also featured a regular, physical realm in addition to the starry place
The channel on which I saw the show also aired a show involving anthropomorphic mice who did ballet. This other show was on more often, as far as I saw
I only saw this show at a friend's home, so it's possible that the starry ballet show aired earlier or later than is usual for play-dates/visits, rather than being shown less often
Edited by Sorporporopena show of the nineties like street sharks but with dinosaurs Western Animation

openOld Horror Movie Live Action TV
A crazy family (consisting of a father, wife and young daughter) holds a mother and her child captive. The movie details their efforts to escape. The father has frequent hallucinations of his dad (An Evil Cripple) telling him that he never does anything right and other demeaning insults. In reality the wheelchair by the window is empty but the movie culminates in his death when he pushes the chair through the window and falls out himself.
His wife tells the captive woman a story about how they used to have a baby named Aurthur but her husband killed him. We're shown this scene with a Shadow Discretion Shot. He assures the baby that there won't be any pain because he's going to Heaven before smothering it with a pillow.
The crazed daughter decides to dig up Aurthur's Body to show her new "friend" and drags her outside to help. Thus the two aren't inside the house when it catches fire. The woman and her child escape and the movie ends with the only surviving member of the crazy family throwing a doll down a well as it constantly repeats "I love you."
openCartoon from early 90s (or 80s) with Troll Snowball? (maybe SOLVED) Western Animation
I vaguely remember seeing a cartoon at my babysitter's house long ago as a little kid in probably the early 90s. There were a bunch of hairy brown troll things that fall down a snowy hill and as they roll they become a huge snowball. The trolls/creatures looked a lot like ALF from the ALF show and cartoon. Maybe it was an episode of the ALF show?
Edited by SelmaAndLouiseopen[SOLVED] Play about feuding parents
I’m looking for a play about two sets of parents who are meeting to discuss retribution because the boy from family A attacked the boy from family B with a stick and caused dental damage after Boy B wouldn’t let Boy A join his gang. The meeting slowly devolves from politeness to monstrous cruelty. Randomly remembered details: 1. They are meeting in Family A’s home, and Mother A has prepared a ganache. 2. Boy B starred in a school production of Charlie’s Aunt. 3. Mother B ends up vomiting all over Mother A’s prized coffee table photograph book, and initially offers to replace it but is told it is out of print. 4. Father B’s affectionate nickname for Mother B is “Woof Woof” after the song “How Much is That Doggy in the Window?”, while Father A calls Mother A “Darjeeling” after the tea because their honeymoon was in India.

I remember it involving Gilbert Gottfried for some reason, and it (I think) came out after his death??
