open[SOLVED] Urban fantasy webcomic about personified celestial bodies? Webcomic
Urban fantasy webcomic I originally read on Tapastic (now Tapas). Protagonist is a woman with white hair who is actually a personified comet and is searching for other celestials like herself. Seeks out a witch who grants wishes in exchange for a certain price and ends up working for her. Buddy with a man who wears a helmet 24/7. Antagonist is a massive suit of armour called "The Queen", who is actually a personified black hole. The witch's house is an extra-dimensional hotel/bar with a classy vintage glamour placed on it and anyone who enters. Can connect freely to other parts of the world via appearing/disappearing doors. There was a skeleton mob boss at some point I think? Protagonist has nightmares about a thing with lots of teeth?
Don't remember any names whatsoever, unfortunately, and haven't been able to track it down. Not even sure it's still hosted on Tapas, or if it's updating, but I'd like to try and find it again. Thanks!
Edited by flowerboxfriendopenA Cyanide & Happiness strip Webcomic
Can someone tell me what is the name of that Cyanide and Happiness strip? It's about one guy who brags about not doing drugs until he realizes that many things — including coffee, water, and air — are technically drugs too, so he goes as far as exiting the Earth's atmosphere just to avoid it all.
Edited by Unnerving_PosterioropenEducational comics about animal reproduction Webcomic
I remember some comics from, I think, Deviantart, that were about animal courtship rituals, physical differences between the sexes and stuff like that. The animals were humanized, depicted as "naked" (AKA undetailed, it was totally SFW) cartoon people. The males were all blue, including their hair, with a Mars sign on their chests and the females were pink with a Venus sign and breasts. I believe there was a comic about hermaphroditic species (or maybe species that undergo sex changes after birth?), and the character for that was yellow, though I don't remember what symbol they had.
The only difference between characters of the same sex was in stuff like build and hair style or length. There weren't any recurring characters or storylines, just drawings accompanying an explanation of the biology involved. Each comic focused on a different species or characteristic. I think peacocks were included, and there was a comic about a species in which the female was much bigger than the male, but other than that I can't recall many details. The comic must be quite old by now, at least 4+ years but probably more.
open BIrd FLock in Spacesuit Webcomic
Looking for a Webcomic about "Occult hunters" and one of the good or bad guys is a spacesuit that contains an entity that looks like a flock of birds.
openFurry/Anthroponorphic webcomic? Webcomic
It's already completed, the protagonist is a goat, and (The) God is there as a Lion. I can't remember the exact plot details but I *think* the goat character's father got hospitalized in an accident, and the lion character botches his attempt to fix him or something?
openA webcomic from 2000s Webcomic
I've forgot the name, and the comic seems to have disappeared from the net. It was drawn with a very roundish and crisp vector-style artwork, and it was about a black haired boy who likes metal music. He always has bags under his eyes and was very grumpy. He always wore a grey jacket. He had a purplish red -haired girl friend that was named Goth Girl or something like that. I remember that there was even an animated strip where the main character played guitar. Does this ring any bells?
openComic with "You can't do that in Japan, Dave" Webcomic
Hello, fellow tropers.
I'm looking for a comic where a panel has a guy saying "You can't do that in Japan, Dave", and a note "Note: Or in other countries".
Please keep the thread SFW if the work ends up being NSFW.
Have a nice day.
Edited by Prometheos2openComic about women who is magically cloned and taken to a magical world Webcomic
Howdy, So the comic i think starts in a cathedral or old church. The main character is a women who is there. I think shes touring for the art... but cant recall. Maybe it was a funeral or something.
Anyway this guy meets her, uses some magic to make a clone/doppleganger to pull into his world. As long as they dont see each other his plan will work. Something goes wrong, one dies, and the other gets pulled into a portal. There is a wedding or funeral going on in the church when this all happens.
They end up i think in some central column that has this giant tree. And he is being hunted by another person, and maybe some magic animal. They make their daring escape, and get to his mansion/manor. Where i think he is some kind of prisioner.
I remember that someone tries to make an escape out and ends up in a maze, or their are more hunters after them....
and thats where i stopped reading and remembering.
openGirl genius x Broodhollow webcomic (guest comic.) Webcomic
Has anyone seen a girl genius x broodhollow comic, it was a guest comic on either girl genius or broodhollow I believe. where they went to Local 58 (WCLV-TV), the local TV station? This is another one I think I might have dreamt up. It explained what Apocolothoth was (that thing in the Moon in LOCAL58 "Skywatching" - it's a shared universe) and the exact problems it causes in the Broodhollow/Straub universe setting, with what it was doing and how we evolved protection against it. Again, confirmation others have seen this would be good, links even better.
Edited by TheOneWhoTropesopenNo Title Webcomic
A webcomic parodying Breakable Weapons in a videogame. Specifically a character questions why spellbooks degrade with use and then sees someone light a spellbook on fire then throw it at the enemy.
Edit: PPPSSC answered with Magic Tomes
from Brawl in the Family which is definitely the joke I remember but Khantalas and I remember different art - does anyone know if anyone else did a version of the strip?
openthat one webcomic with red eyed black bird Webcomic
there was this webcomic which a red eyed black bird, presumably a raven, was expressing desire to create. when they were told to do so, they responded with "I'm tired". does anyone remember this one?
openA Webcomic Webcomic
I remember reading a webcomic about a guy who woke up in a world where everyone had magic. It was exactly like his, except everyone has elemental magic. At first he freaked out, then he saw a line of people waiting to use the grill. Iirc he didn't have magic and was confused as to why everyone was using magic.
openExtremely funny parody of Tower Of God Webcomic
I remember reading a wacky parody of Tower of god made by some chinese guy that was incredibly fun, but i don't remember many details appart from some sketches:
- A fairy guy that's so ugly, he makes everyone's eyes bleed
- A panda plushie that sticks a battery up his ass to become a person
- A girl that wants to recover her husband's love, that left her after discovering she's a trap
- Gorilla Ricardo Milos
openOld Mech Comic Webcomic
I'm looking for an older webcomic about giant fighting mecha. The plot was primarily about a bunch of clans fighting to be on top of the leaderboard, which for some reason or another gave a lot of power to the winning clans.
I remember one of the big details was that the world had basically gone to shit, and the city it took place in had a huge hologram in place of the sky.
openOne Punch Man fancomic about masked underling Webcomic
It's been years, but the webcomic/comic was about a masked faceless underline changing from overlord to overlord, conveniently avoiding heros and their work,(and at one point saving a hero's life, only to get (spoilers?)a tracker placed on them by a hero) and eventually getting no work; they go to an overlord/boss and ask why, and the boss states that they've brought the heros straight to every place they've been accepted to.
Masked underling eventually joins the hero force and has an arc where someone tries to claim his identify because he's so generic, and it almost works. Fellow never took off his mask, hecka generic, took place in a One Punch Man universe. Sadly all google searches for it in the past month just brings up the official webcomic, and it's not exactly what I'm seeking-
openCreepy Folklore Stories Webcomic
I remember so clearly seeing a beautifully illustrated comic with a collection of folklore stories. They were incredibly creepy and came from a culture that doesn't normally get to share its folklore with a wider audience (maaybe a polynesian country but I'm not sure). One of the stories involved being turned into this terrifying wooden sort of scarecrow. Another story, the one I remember most clearly, is about an animal that made a certain creepy noise. An insect I think. And if you stepped on one, the it made the noise and the other insects heard, and there's this big monster that gets you and turns you into the wooden creepy scarecrow (might be two related stories I'm not sure). The creepy noise sounds like wood creaking, and so the person turned to grinning wood makes the same noises as the animal they stepped on. Something like that. Does anyone know what mythology this is? It's so fascinating and I want to do a project on it but I can't find the original comic no matter how hard I search. Maybe someone has seen the original comic?
Edited by GAN2012open"Time Land" Webcomic
Okay, I'm looking for information about an ancient webcomic I read several years ago, and I mean that in decades. The comic centered around 6 human children transported to an alien world where they're attacked by an army of clockwork "Tin Man"-style robots bent on killing them. They do have allies in the form of what I believe was some anthropomorphic animals (a fact that cause the Token Evil Teammate of the group to derisively compare them to Sonic the Hedgehog). Unfortunately, I only remember two of the characters very clearly:
Sterling Silver - Token Evil Teammate, unapologetically classist, misogynist, and racist, and all around A-hole. He's the reason the kids got transported to the new world, although he wasn't supposed to go with them. Apparently his father and grandfather (who follow the whole naming convention, with grandpa being named Golden Silver) had transported their own groups in exchange for the fortune their family enjoys. He has a relationship with one of the three girls in the group in that her family works for his and she is essentially his maidservant, which he tends to be fairly abusive too much to the anger of the other four. Sterling is disliked by pretty much everyone, but they can't just abandon him because apparently he's necessary to get home.
Lucky - Chinese-American. Very much a happy-go-lucky type and friend to all living things. He's very personable, very easygoing, but something of a coward. One of the other girls in the group is his cousin, with whom he's got a good relationship despite them being from different parts of town. Usually drawn with his eyes closed, except on the rare occasions he loses his temper.
Before I lost track of it, the comic introduced two knights who inadvertently saved the kids from the robot army, only for the kids to be informed the two knights were actually servants of another villain and were responsible for the destruction of the local High King 's castle.
There was a second comic that showed up on the same website that centered around a quartet of duck siblings trying to keep from getting killed after their father is murdered.
I think the webcomic was named Time Land, but I have been unable to find anything by that name searching the net. Any help would be appreciated if anyone else remembers this webcomic.
openSpoof webcomic about a guy always looking at his own reflection Webcomic
These were a series of webcomics which I believe parodied Tim Buckley, the Ctrl+Alt+Del guy (but it may have been about a different webcomic maker). Each one was a four-panel comic where a guy sees his reflection in a different object, and the rest of the panels just zoomed in on his face. There was one that took place during 9/11.

A looong while ago I stumbled upon a webcomic that I accidentally stumbled into, and found myself enjoying it way more than I thought. From what I recall about the main plot, the story follows some kind of monster hunter in a setting where certain non-human groups are considered monsters (they aren't particularly bestial looking, more like humans with some animalistic features). There's also these witches in the narrative that survive by taking over the bodies of other women to stay immortal. For example, near the start of the comic there was a Forest/Nature/Wood Witch (who ended up getting killed by another witch, who she thought was a friend), and in the webcomic's background, a Fire Witch did a lot of Evil Shit:tm: back in the story's history, but was as yet unseen.
I hate being this vague, but it's all I got. Oh, and I remember LOTS of the "beast" people all having orange hair. LOTS OF ORANGE HAIR. The main character man apparently has regrets about a lot of the "monsters" he's killed.
