openTrans singer does a duet with her pre-reassigmnent self (solved) Music
I never actually heard the song but I'd like to track it down - essentially I once read an interview with a musician in a music magazine that in part discussed the making of this particular song: If I remember correctly the artist was a transwoman who wrote and recorded a song before she started taking hormones, then revisited the recording after, adding her current voice and making it sound like a duet.
Edited by MikeKopenWhat's that 90s r&b song called? Music
What was that song called that was played on Friday February 21 two month ago between 12:40 and 12:55 pm during the Throwback hour at noon that features I think DJ Breeze? It was on the Charleston South Carolina radio station Z93 Jamz, which is 93.3, call letters WWWZ. It was part of a dj song mashup and it goes something like this, "I'm Bout To Find Me; Another Man." I couldn't really tell what the vocals were singing, but I do know that it was female vocals that sounded like either, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Angie Stone, Chante Moore, Kelly Price, Lauryn Hill, Ce Ce Peniston, Deborah Cox, or Alicia Keys. It also sounded like it came out sometime in the 1990s. If anybody has any information, please let me know, thanks.
openRock/Metal song with an Ear Worm-like melody Music
I think it was a 175+ BPM Rock 'N Roll and/or Not-So-Heavy Metal song that might've had some other stuff in it, but the thing that dug into my head enough for me to look for the song is the chorus, which went "G D C Eb D" twice, with an additonal "D C" at the end. I have no idea what the song is about, the lyrical content, all I happen to know about the song is that it has an infuriatingly catchy chorus/melody thing, it played at both Valley Fair and UW-Stout's music player(s), and that it toes the line between Rock 'N Roll and Metal.
openDisco-ish song Music
This is gonna be a hard one but: there was this local radio station that mostly played 80s and a little 70s music. I stopped listening to it once they completely changed sometime around 2015. Anyway, there was this song that was kind of disco and had both a male and female singer. I can't remember any lyrics but I do remember it had an electronic "chime" like sound that was somewhat similar to the sound that first plays at 3:39 in this song.
I think the sound played several times but not as often as in that song.
openFilm Song. Music
I'm looking for a song that played during the ending credits of a film. There's very little background music. It sounds as though someone were playing the softer keys on a piano. The only lyrics I can remember are "I will keep you safe from harm" but it might've been safe and warm. The woman who sings this song is doing so softly and the vibe is meant to be creepy. Any help is appreciated. I can't remember the name of the film.
openWhoa-oh-oh Whoa-oh-oh-oh Music
A feel-good rock song with lyrics about a dream. The refrain goes "whoa-oh-oh whoa-oh-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh whoa-oh-oh-oh." It got a lot of airplay a couple years ago and now it's bugging me that I can't remember the title or band name.
openSpoken word in music from a song (solved) Music
I don't remember much of the actual song - it was on a mix cd I was sent in the early 2000s, it was acoustic guitar based with a woman singing, and I have an inkling it may have been early Tegan & Sara. What I do remember is a lo-fi Spoken Word in Music intro: a child (presumably the singer herself as a child) is fussing and trying to grab something (maybe even the tape recorder it's being captured on). An adult woman scolds her and says something like "good, it's recording, later on you'll get to hear what a brat you were".
Edited by MikeKopenStock Sound Effect (Bird) Music
Does anyone know the species of bird calling at the beginning and end of this (Mongolian) video
(or the Stock Sound Effect it's from)? I've heard the exact same sound in Pharaoh (which, as its name indicates, is set in Egypt), so I'd like to know what it is to know which one counts as Misplaced Wildlife.
openPossible show tune? (Edit: Found it) Music
Edit: it’s “One” from A Chorus Line Edit 2: “The Simpsons” had a parody of it in Treehouse of Horror V
All I remember is that the first line started with “One” and the melody of the first line fit the lyrics “One. Perfect kind of feeling.” I think another line ended with “...that nobody else. Can. Do.” It sounds like a show tune, like it’s from a musical. My mind is associating it with “The Simpsons” but also with horror.
Edited by AnnikaBellopenR and B song in the early 90s Music
A guy is singing about loosing his girl. Its an R and B song and he appears to be singing in a barn with his group. We get flashbacks abot the guy and his girl and things start off well. Happy times. Something goes wrong and she literally runs away from their home. All I remember is part of the chorus Ill bet my bottom dollar , that your not thinking about me. Anymore. Longshot , but the songs been bugging me for a while.
openTransformation noise in song? Music
https://youtu.be/3fxq7kqyWO8?t=131
Alright, so I heard this song on the 70s to 90s radio and it has a little instrumental part that works its way up to something like this in Time Lapse. It goes like a few small beats at first then the "transformation" type sound you hear in Time Lapse. I know the song doesn't really go with the instrumental part as well. Any help?
openA piece from the 80's (or possibly early 90's) of which I only remember mondegreens Music
I remember a piano note that evokes a low chime, and at different times I heard different Mondegreens of the lyrics: "Ball gonna bob you/Ball gonna bob you/Dance/Dance" or "Bald in the ballroom/Bald in the ballroom/Dance/Dance", and then then the percussion makes a chucka-chucka-chucka sound.
Edited by ZarbiNeradaopenDo you know that song? Music
There was a song that had in the lyrics something like "na na na na somebody, dun dun dun dun dun dun". And it also had something like "na na na na na na na na" a few times.
I couldn't tell more since that's the best I can describe it.
openRock Song Whose Title Is A Number Music
Does anyone know what song this is? Its title is a number between 1960 and 1995. I think it's the male lead singer's birth year. It's about childhood and growing up. There's an English and a non-English version (Israeli? Hebrew? I can't remember).
Edited by Pichu-kunopenWhat is that gibbish Latin-sounding chanting song? Music

and 5:51

openAnime Waltz Song Music
So, years and years ago, I found a song which (I'm fairly sure) had "Waltz" in the title, and I'm also pretty sure it was from an anime. I don't remember if it was the opening or ending, or any part of the name except for Waltz, and when I search "Anime Waltz" I find a looot of results and I've had no luck wading through them. The song was mostly piano, I honestly can't remember whether or not there was singing, and it was pretty sad sounding. I can only really remember what I think was the chorus, and here's a recording of my trying my best to hum it. http://vocaroo.com/i/s10E482FqI1Z
openNoisy alternative rock song, maybe from the late 80s/early 90s (solved) Music
I heard this song in a pizza parlor that I noticed plays all its music from old cassettes and it seemed like they were just playing a mix tape. The song sorta reminded me of Dinosaur Jr., but I don't think it was actually them because it didn't sound like either J Mascis or Lou Barlow singing lead. The one line that I remember was something like "have you been sleeping late because you've been abused?". Midtempo but with loud distorted guitars and a noisy guitar solo near the end. Music I did recognize on the same tape included Nirvana, Beat Happening and Flaming Lips if that helps pin down the era and genre any.

There's a song I heard in a dream recently that I think might be based on a real song, as it sounds really familiar and I have had dreams where I heard real songs that just had different lyrics or something. Here it is https://vocaroo.com/9w7bNbKBila
