openSubmarine / depth charge game Videogame
This was a game off a PC magazine CD I think. You were a ship that could move side to side and you had a number of submarines that you had to hit with depth charges. The submarines would release the typical spiky sea mines to try and destroy you.
I know there are a number of games like this, but this specific one had the following features:
Blue subs released mines more or less randomly. Red ("chain") subs released several mines in quick succession, and yellow ("smart") subs would sometimes turn around if they were about to hit one of your depth charges. The red and yellow colours may be reversed, I can't remember.
There was also an octopus on the sea floor juggling a bottle that would get released at some point during the level. If you got the bottle you got an extra life. You could also bomb the octopus if you so wished.
openI cant remember the name of a UK British TV drama Live Action TV
I cant remember the name of a TV series I watched, i seem to remember it was a short series, and i'm pretty sure it was based in London, a family in a posh house were having a bit of a dinner party, and getting annoyed by youths hanging around on a grassy part opposite the house, and I seem to remember one part where they caught someone in their garden and chased them, and a bit where they had their window smashed, and a bloke ran out of the house and then followed them to a rough area and got stabbed, possibly in an underground car park type place...
Pretty sure it was shown within the last 4-5 years max.
Any ideas what it could be that I am thinking of?
Thanks in advance.
openVHS series teaching Grammar/English concepts to kids Live Action TV
There are two series that I remember seeing in school that were supposed to teach us English concepts, such as grammar, hyperbole, and the different types of stories and poems there are, such as myths and limericks. The first one was about a group of kids who solved mysteries based on English concepts. I remember that the characters were mostly consistent except for one girl named Trax, who wasn't there in one episode I watched, but there in another. Recurring characters included Gator, who I think was the only African American kid in the group; plus the ubiquitous All-American leader Boy and Girl. The kids had a clubhouse with a hat rack labeled with their names where they each hung their unique hats on each episode. Plus, they had a 90s computer.
The second series was about a group of friends who ran a newsletter/paper, and were advised by their teacher Ms.Grammar, who showed up on a computer.
Any idea what these series were?
openSuperhero Game Videogame
I remember playing a superhero based game approximately five to eight years ago. I believe the protagonist, who was female, had red hair. It was a children's game. I also believe the main character got her power from different common items, like superpowered shoes and lipstick. The game was not based on Kim Possible. There was another game for the same system that was based on Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. Any help finding the name of the gaming system or the first game would be greatly appreciated.
openA video game, not sure if anyone will know
Ok ( firstly thank you to anyone willing to help) So there's this black haired girl , about mid Colledge level age, and she lives in ( I suppose you would call it the far future, at least at the time it was made ( an Xbox original game). She has a teddy bear that can talk and can double as a computer in some ways. It starts off with her in a coma, which is a bit convenient considering she uncovers a mystery consisting of the thin line that separates her world with the world of dream. ( the only other details that I can give really are this one level I remember where you have to get a series of glyphs that give off musical tunes ( located in a cave with, I believe a water fall in it) also , not entirely sure, I think her name is Chloe.
openVHS TAPE ? MOVIE OR TV SHOW Live Action TV
okay this has been bugging me for years now and idk where else to look!! But when I was younger I watched this VHS tape about a cowboy? A kid and a bear (like a guy dressed in a bear suit not a real bear) and like I THINK there was either time travel in it or like a spaceship??? I'm not rly sure a lot of the details are blurred but I remember there were in the desert looking for cookies or something ?? Like they were tryna figure out who ate the cookies or something LOL it's been stressing me out :((
Edited by clxtroresolved Flash game about paper and drawing Videogame
There was this flash game I loved playing, probably some time in the early 2010s. You're playing as a wadded up ball of paper, and you have to roll it to the finish in each level. You can draw with the mouse to create platforms for the ball of paper. I think there were pencils and/or erasers as obstacles. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
openA game on Windows 98 Videogame
I remember a vegetable where you line up 3 vegetables (one was definitely a tomato, while I think one was a cabbage and the last was...a potato...or something, but the vegies were all different colours) to get rid of them. The icon of the game was a tomato. I seem to recall the name was "Vege" but I can't seem to find any evidence of it on the internet (it just gives me Vege Tales instead). The background of the matching section was fluorescent green, and when you started a new game it had the title of the game on the fluorescent green part in all caps (I don't recall the colour of the title font). When matches were made, the game made distinctive video game noises. Matches could be made in all directions including diagonals (I seem to remember it that way, at least).
openSci-fi show on Nickalo Live Action TV
Show on Nick, British or Australian accent. One villain took skin ok hand and used it as a glove to impersonate her.
open"My Kentucky Blue!" Live Action TV
okay so like, i remember seeing this quite a few years back, possibly on a VHS, but i dont remember anything about the main character. but i do remember... -one of the characters has a radio station which was obtained through a method that involved a walkie-talkie with duct-tape on it -the kid with the radio station had a pet lizard that died -In the same episode, he played a bland-name product version of stratego with his lizard -the kid knows a superhero character -the superhero is a pretty minor character -at the end of the summer, the kid beats up the ocean with the superhero character -in one episode, he messed up his dad's lawn on what might've been a 4th of july episode -something about kentucky blue -he might've tried to drive a lawnmower to canada? like one of those big ones you sit in -In one of the episodes, the kid heard a song he really likes and decides to actually play music on his show, but only that song (played live in an attempt to remember the whole thing) until everyone else who was playing the song with him convinces him to allow other songs -an ice-cream man in a sort of mascot suit thing who might not have actually talked? -The only thing i can remember about the actual main character is he was part of an episode that had something to do with word problems in algebra -At one point i think the superhero managed to do pretty well in bowling because his bowling ball had a hamster inside of it controlling it, which he (i guess) telepathically communicated with??? -I'll ad more when i remember more
openPost-apocalypse Power Rangers Live Action TV
I remember watching this show as a child, where humanity had been all but wiped out by an evil AI. There was one city left, and was protected by the Power Rangers. The woman who created the power rangers was revealed to have created the AI, and the AI's human looking spy was revealed to be the black ranger's (who was white) mind controlled sister
openhong kongesque action drama Film
Central plot was about some imperial family and an upcoming festival. Lots of backstabbing and plotting. Im pretty sure it ended with the dad killing the rest of the family. I also remember a scene with wire fu in a mountain pass. Came out late 2000s early 10s. For some reason im pretty sure curse of the golden something was in the title but that may be completely wrong since IMDB didn't turn up anything that looked familiar.
openShort story on the moon Literature
A short sf story, I think I read it in the late 80s, early 90s, but it's probably older than that, set in a future where the US, UK and Russia (I can't remember if it was called the USSR or not) all have lunar cities. I don't remember the actual storyline, what I remember is an aside that the American and Russian cities all have regular grids of numbered streets, and the British started out doing that but, being British, ended up with negative numbers and fractions, because regular grids of streets are anathema to us.
openchildrens programme, possibly religious, with an elf Live Action TV
Aired in Australia in the '80s. There was a religious programme (I think) featuring, as a gimmick, someone (I think it was a woman) dressed up as an elf (in green felt costume, IIRC). One episode had the hosts and some children placing a microphone upon their hearts. The elf character fails and picks up gastric rumbling instead.
openCan't remember a Space Sci-fi show from Late 90's Live Action TV
I was talking with some friends about older Sci-fi space themed tv shows, and I couldn't remember the name of one I saw once on TV. I believe it appear late one night on some network meant for kids as part of their teen programming. It starred 3 teens ( 1 girl, 2 boys) who attended some kind of space academy and where transported across the galaxy. They met up with an alien and find some old earth exploration vessel, all while being chased by some kind of great armada. I remember they had some kind of Mecha robots they later armed int he show as well.
I don;t believe very many episodes where made as I never saw it again, but as a sci-fi junky and being in my youth at the time, I find it annoying I can;t remember a title.
openI just remember the theme song Live Action TV
What was the name of the show whose theme song was a version of the lollipop song and one of the scenes featured in the song was a kid holding his nose and dancing in the school hallway?
openWeird (possibly stop motion) show that aired in Canada years ago
I say Canada because it was so weird that I doubt it was anywhere else other than the internet. It was really bizzare, with no real dialogue, I think it was stop motion but I don't remember. It had clownish characters, some really creepy ones too, and in almost every intro, there was a seemingly headless dude who'd run across the screen in the background and flail his arms around. I think the main characters were really short and funny looking. I don't remember anything else . I think the setting was a circus or something. I remember this show as a little kid bUT I never learned the name. This was a kids show, too. It was in british columbia, Canada. I was younger than ten, and I'm 16now.I'm just trying to give extra info incase that helps. I've searched multiple things but can't find anything.
openJapanes Live Action Sitcom Live Action TV
The seed of the plot was that this college aged guy helped out all the clubs on campus, but the money he was using to do so came from a cash advance/credit card sort of machine and he hit is maximum balance. At some point he ends up in debt to the local organized crime boss and has to work really hard to get enough money.
Eventually he comes up with the idea of running a craigslist like trade/barter facilitation business, where he uses a pedal cargo bike thing to transport the stuff to the different people who put stuff on his site. He even does multistage trades. There are the usual setbacks and sudden emergencies to restore the status quo, and he ends up doubling his debt to the mobster at least once.
openfantasy webcomic about wizard, girl and ghost
I remember stumbling into this nicely drawn, full-colour fantasy webcomic a few years ago. It was about a young, dark-skinned, bumbling (wannabe) wizard guy who meets a mysterious girl and her late brother, who's a ghost now. It had a certain clock-punk feel to it, as the characters were wearing somewhat 18th century-looking clothes.
