openSitcom about a black man who was killed by Death, wasn't supposed to, and returned to (un)life. Live Action TV
I remember a quite unique sitcom from around the early 2000s, where the main character was a black man around the age 25-30 (might have been bald, or very short hair) who was killed by Death/The Grim Reaper/Angel of Death, but it was actually a mistake, so the man was given the option to return to his old life, altought he would be technically dead. One of the "symptoms" was that he didn't feel any pain, other might have been something like no heartbeat and cold body temperature.
The Death character was a middle aged white man, who was a HUGE fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and(/or) her actress, having a big portrait/poster of her in his office building or whatever the place was. The main character would visit him sometimes.
Other characters: (who all lived together in shared flat or something like that) White woman with short, blonde hair. Don't remember much about her, except that part of the greater plot was that she and the main character would eventually fall for eachother. *SPOILER* The big twist was that she was actually the person that was supposed to die.
White woman with dark brown hair. While the blonde woman was generally nice, this character was angry/moody/bitchy.
White man with somewhat long, brown hair. This character was bit immature and kind of a loser or deadbeat, who liked playing videogames, and asking the moody woman for a date.
Some things I remember: While the main character was black and dead, I don't remember any focus on racial themes or humor, and the being dead aspect wasn't always the main focus for plot. The show might have been british, or maybe even australian. No idea really. I doubt there was more than one season. Some episode plots or situations: 1. For some sitcom reasons, they had a bar, atleast for a night. Everything was ready for the customers inside, everyone else was waiting for customers inside, while the moody woman was standing outside the door, and was supposed to lure in as much customers in as possible. Not a single one was coming in, and after checking the situation, the woman was declining every single person at the door for not being good enough for the place. 2. The deadbeat is playing videogames, and the MC asks for time. He replies something weird, like 4 am, and when questioned about it, he would reply it would be 4am in Vietnam, where the game was taking place. 3. The deadbeat suspects something is weird about the MC and comes to a conclusion that hes a russian spy or something along the lines. He (purposefully?) spills boiling hot water on his hand, and when he realises that he didn't feel any pain, says or thought something like "they trained you well, comrade". 4. Somehow, the moody woman accepts to go on a date with the deadbeat. He made a poor choice for the location, because it was a steakhouse, and she was a vegetarian. After looking trough the list, she says that "Ill have to take the starter salad, as its the only one no meat on it." He replies "But it has beef tomatoes in it." She: "Idiot, beef tomato is type of a tomato, its not meat!" Waitress interrupts: "Actually, the sir is correct. Our beef tomatoes are actually filled with beef."
Thats pretty much all I can remember, everything might not be correct as it must be around 15 years since the show was shown in Finland. However, I doubt there is more than one show with that premise.
openShort Story about a Game Library Literature
I can't seem to find it anywhere. It's a short story about a man that dies and leaves his game library to his nephew. Among the books, the nephew finds a stack of unpublished RPG books that detail a very simulationist system which his uncle used to play god with.
open1970's television show I need to find
Back in the 70's I remember a tv show that used B&W photos to describe life in the 1890's or 1900's. I have always believed that William Shatner narrated it but that could be me projecting. The only other thing I remember about the show is that it was broadcast basically in the Boston area. If anyone remembers the name of the show I would be deeply grateful.
openUnknown SciFi Adventure Movie, Aliens Abduct Child Film
I've been trying to remember the name of this movie... for years.
I saw it in the late 1990s/early 2000s, possibly as a TV movie or a TV show pilot, on broadcast TV in the USA. It was a scifi adventure, with a spaceship. It starts out on a planet that is not Earth, with mostly humans, but included several different alien species coexisting.
Here's what I remember about the characters: -main character is blonde or brown-haired man. -a tough, dark-haired woman -a child (I think a girl; it may have been the main character's daughter) -scary, hairless, humanoid aliens with pale white faces (they also wore robes)
One of the first scenes is the main character arriving at a trading post on the planet, featuring an open sky with a few tents. This is where the main character and the woman meet. They later leave the planet together in a ship for a voyage or a mission. I don't remember the main plot, but I remember the subplot. The kid is abducted by a group of scary aliens on the planet. She was special, and they were using her for her mind or messing with her memories somehow. They helded her underground, in a cave. Their leader or god may have been trying to meld with her or use her for some purpose. I only remember it being a scary scene, watching it as a child. Anyways, the adults rescue her at the end. Any ideas?
openCartoon show on CITV about a band of bikers who flew in the air Western Animation
Yeah, they were a band of bikers in a future universe. I think they lived on a large airship, but would disembark onto smaller air bikes to engage in battle. Most of their equipment was DIY style, and I think they shot laser/plasma at the enemies? Definitely on CITV in Britain, usually during the morning. It's not Biker mice from Mars though!
Thanks!
Edited by SADBOYSopenYoutube Video about being able to change ones opinion Web Original
I can't seem to remember what channel I found the video on. I had thought it was CGP Grey, but I can't find it there. It was a video about how you should treat your opinions like things in a box that you can replace if a better opinion comes along as opposed to a concrete part of yourself. I'm fairly certain it used stick figure animations,
Edited by InnocentDoodleopenMagical glove Western Animation
I watched this when I was a kid, about twelve years ago. The show I am looking for was animated, the hero was a dark haired white male with a motorbike and a blue/gray glove which made his hand really strong and maybe gave him other superpowers. I remember enemy minions, don't know they english name, but they translation from czech back to english would be something like rippers. They were black and resembled dinosaurs, mostly velociraptors.
openLitle kid with a heart problem becomes friends with a huge kid Film
Looking for the name of a movie where there is a huge kid who gets bullied because he's dumb and he becomes friends with a little kid who is smart for his age. It was narrated by the huge kid and ends with a downer ending because the little one died of a heart condition (I think). It was an adaptation of a book too.
openChilds TV show, about 10 years old
My son has been looking for his old favourite TV show for ages. I doubt any of you would know it, but I thought I should try my best to try and find it. His description is that these men would have "bands" that were basically bracers. The bracers were different colours and assigned to animals (e.g a snake band or a tiger band). He said the humans would take form of whatever band they had on and would fight each other. I can't give much more information unfortunately. Possible programs it could have been aired on are CBBC and The CW network
Edited by AuspiciousMartenopenSci-fi show with man running around in his PJs?
A live action show. All I saw was part of an episode. It was set in outer space and it had this blond dude who was possessed by aliens or something and was running around in his P Js. I'm a huge Trekkie so I think I would have recognised it if it was Star Trek. I think a guy was eating pizza at one point. And it began with a speech on how amazing space is with a picture of a spaceship.
openDo you remember this book? Literature
I read this book around 2004 or so. The main character was an android, and I'm pretty sure he was the first one developed. His family (which included the creator/inventor) named him Andy. He's in a kid/teen's body, and so he goes to school. He gets bullied and discriminated against but he's not allowed to retaliate. Androids are considered very second class citizens and (I think this happened) when his class gets an android teacher, a lot of students get switched to a human teacher's class by their parents.
His best friend is an android girl who wants to go to college, but she's not allowed unless she's switched into a different body/college age body. She's been rebelling a little. One day she vanishes and when she gets on the bus for school a while later it's a different android, but in the same body-her family had her wiped or returned her or something and another android is now using that body.
At the end the scientist inventor guy is forced to realize that the androids have developed feelings, real feelings, and he's in shock or something. And Andy goes off to college without having to change bodies. And he finds his friend, who it turns out somehow survived but ended up in a different body.
It's really hard to search for something about Androids (with phones) and Andy the Android (which just brings up children's books).
I was about 12 when I read it, but it was part of my teacher's personal collection that he kept in the classroom, so I don't know if that was the age range it was aimed at. I don't think it felt particularly "adult" to me, I thought it was a kid's book, but I also read The Color Purple the year before that, so my judgement may be off.
resolved Old YOutube poop starring Robotnik Web Original
There's this Youtube Poop I'm trying to find. It was about Robotnik, and it was uploaded probably between 2006-2010.
All I remember was an exchange that went something like this:
openSubmerged Town Brings Forth Haunted Children Film
This is a film from somewhere between the '80's and the 2000's: an abandoned town is flooded to create a lake or reservoir, but some children were trapped in houses before the town was fully evacuated. They drowned in the flooding and the mystery of these haunting children is eventually solved in the film. This is not 'What Lies Below." American film.
openWhat was this tv series/film called? Film
I was very young when I saw this but I've been trying to find it for a long time.
I think it may have been a british crime series/TV Movie but I'm not sure at all. I remember that it was at night and a man was hanging from a cable or something and you see him get electrocuted. I then remember people going to look at him or investigate the death or something and it's daytime. I remember seeing him still hanging there and his body all burnt.
I think it may have been over railway lines but I don't know.
Ring a bell?
resolved hidden objects mobile game Videogame
This is a mobile game that I got for free on the Google Play Store about a year ago.
It's a hidden objects game, but instead of looking for everyday things lying around a room, you are looking for objects - they can range from animals, to food, to household appliances, and so on - in a huge clump of objects positioned and colored to look like one big object.
In some levels, you have to find all the objects listed. In other levels, you have to find as many specific objects as you can before the time runs out.
There's a hint button that dims the lights a little, and creates a spotlight to indicate where an item is located.
After completing a certain number of puzzles, you must solve a jigsaw puzzle. Once you solve it, you unlock a new level. (You start out with two levels, and one is chosen at random each time you play.)
I could have sworn it was called something like "Little Things", but I tried searching that and couldn't find it.
openCheesy 80's Duet Music
I heard this a few days ago. It's one of those 80's ballad-type songs. It has the same chord progression as Last Christmas by Wham, except for maybe the last two chords. A woman misses a guy, and sings about how she misses his "touch," The same guy feels the same way, and sings about how he "feels lonesome." There's a key change towards the end, and then it fades out. I know it's kinda vague, but does anyone know what it is?

I'm looking for a (youtube clip of a) car commercial featuring a clean-shaven but worn-down guy who looks into the showroom of a car (SUV/Truck?) and then immediately grows a beard and wears flannel, I think? Any help is great, thanks. Just the name of the car would be helpful too.
