openFrog...bubble...shooter? Videogame
So you're this bipedal frog in a blue t-shirt spitting bubbles at spikeballs and cloud-like things while scaling a 2D-style platform ladder-type setup. Every (rather questionable) death animation was accompanied by some oddly-peaceful music.
Really frustrating, I hated it.
openBritish MTV-like late night host
I remember that the show I am thinking about came late at night after the "Fist of zen" show. It was a coked up white british dude with an afro and dressed in a blue'ish suit looking like an italian mobster from the 70's. Or just like austin powers with an afro basically. He did different sketches like funny commercials for insane products. Somehow they would all end up with him beating the shit out of someone and kicking them on the ground like in the goodfellas movie. I'm not sure if it was on MTV but I have been looking everywhere and I almost can't sleep. I need to find clips from this show again!
openChapter Book About Losing Teeth Literature
I had it when I was in second grade, so it could be from the early 2000's? I don't remember the main character's name but I remember the book revolved around her losing her teeth. She had an older sister named Penelope who wore lipstick and I think at one point they moved and she made a friend named Peggy. I remember the book had one part where they were making ice cream, and another where I think the main character knocked out a tooth and possibly swallowed it. I distinctly remember a bit of text where she thought her mom's mirror tasted like makeup.
openReally grinds my gears...
I somehow started looking into old tv series and films from when I was a kid. There is this one series, or film, that I just can't name.
I don't remember very much but it was kind of an anime style cartoon, with a squad of people. One of them was wielding a katana and another one like japanese fans. They had to fight against spider like things that were maybe droids, these spider droids had a weakness on their back which looked like a red target. The people hit here to kill them. I will get a braingasm if someone can help me remember. It aired in late 90s ~ early 2000s in Norway:S
opensomething town? Western Animation
Matryoshka dolls in a town kids tv show i think was on disney junior
openLive action childrens show with giant yellow singing cow? Live Action TV
I remember when I was like 3 I had this singing cow that was yellow and plush looking..had a show that I watched but for the life of me can't remember the name and nobody else does either...the cow was barney sized on TV and sang and was a female...I cannot remember.
openKid's Show Early 2000's Live Action TV
It was a show about four/five characters (They were people in animal-like pastel coloured suits?). I believe they would look for puzzle/jigsaw pieces. They had a TV (or computer) that they would enter tapes into and videos would play. One of the videos in an episode was about the wind and a girl. The wind was a boy and he loved a girl or something? Does anyone have any ideas?
I had it on tape/vhs or something, but my mum got rid of all of them.
Edited by Cats56openAn Anime movie about a girl and a digital world. Anime
So i remember seeing with my dad an western animation film or an anime movie (pretty sure it was an anime movie) long time ago, and for whatever reason some parts of it stucked to me. And now im trying to remember it and see it again. Here is what i remember: -The protagnist was a girl, she was a student i think. -it was set in the near future where small bot like tech exists, and are something like siri if i remember correctly. -virtual reality world exists, (similarly like Sword Art Online.) -the little bot thing that the girl has makes her an male avatar for her to try out the game, -i think she starts grinding levels so she can stand a chance against stronger enemies in the virtual reality game. -the girl sees an female figure and with her interaction with the figure the game i think. -at the end there is some virus and 1 or 2 users die or get in a coma because of it.
Thats all i remember, im sorry if its not enough or if my English is bad.
Edited by PootisBirbopenMovie Film
I only remember a few details from the movie.
It's live action (not a cartoon), there is an evil genie or jinn or some form of evil spirit/entity which can grant wishes. I can't fully remember but there may have been more than one of these characters in the movie. There are a few guys running away from these entities in some sort of forest/treeland area (I think). One of the guys are fat and asks the genie/jinn/entity to be lighter/thinner/have less weight on him (meaning to lose some of his weight/fat) the genie then grants the wish by tearing off his arms, ergo he became lighter/lost weight, etc. Hence the evil nature of the genie characters.
I cannot for the life of me remember any more about this movie, it might even be a TV episode in a series.
openKid with mustache
I remember watching this cartoon when I was little, sometime in the late 80s/early 90s. There was a grandfather/father telling a story to his grandkids/kids about a time he stayed in a haunted house and the kids picturing the story see him as a small child with a mustache because that's the only way they know him. I'm also pretty sure he was wearing blue and white striped pajamas in the story and there was a thunderstorm outside (you could see it through tall windows) and ghost flying around, and he was holding a flashlight. I vaguely remember that the animation wasn't great, almost like an older video game. As the kid was walking through the haunted house, it was like a super Mario game, in that he was walking along one single plane.
openScary Disney channel show 10s Live Action TV
There was a Disney channel show that came out in the 2010s but I can't remember the title .it was scary and involves a ghost (of a mother ) who lost her child and the ghost takes another child from the sea .the guy and girl try to find the child and there's this creepy library place and they want to leave but can't .there is one episode when the ghost is haunting the lighthouse
Edited by Alanahcopen80s? Animal puppet theater featuring a wishing well and a cave Film
When I was a kid in the late 80s/early 90s I would rent this VHS tape over and over. It featured animal puppets or stuffed animals and real props. It was NOT Muppets or Lamb Chop. In the show, one of the animals wishes on a wishing well to be big. The other animal says "you should be happy with who you are" and tells him he won't be able to play in this really pretty cave nearby anymore because he'll be too big. But he makes his wish anyway and is so big his trampling causes rocks to fall while the other animal is playing in the cave and he gets trapped. So he has to wish to be small again to save his friend.
openBlue and Pink Spies?
There is this show from my childhood that I recently remembered, but don't know the name. I don't know all the specific details, but what I do know is that it was a 2D animated series with a guy in a blue jumpsuit and a girl in a pink jumpsuit, and they were spies I believe. One significant factor was that they had these belts with a red orb on it. Sorry if I'm not descriptive enough, it's so difficult to remember!
openSome anime my friend can't remember... Anime
Series in which the protagonist is able to see (with magic eye) creatures (some humanoid i believe) and joins a 'terrorist' group of them to combat more sinister ones. His sister is to some degree disabled and is featured reading a letter from the protagonist whilst looking out over a lake. I believe the city has been cut off from the rest of the world.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
openA book about dogs which are normal animals in daytime, funny animals at nighttime Literature
I remember this book a long time ago, but I can't remember its name. I wanted to add this as an example in Anthropomorphic Zig-Zag.
openPineapple On Pizza
Are there any shows other than Inside Out mentioning this debate on whether pineapple should be put on pizza? I'm adding those examples on Stock "Yuck!" and Hold the Unsolicited Ingredient.
openVoice actor Western Animation
Who's voicing the cat in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS9M4N5b46c at time 0:11 to 0:13. The voice sounds really familiar yet i'm having trouble placing it.
openOld Movie about kids vs bad guy on plane
Hi, I watched this movie in 90s on tv, it's a live action movie and feels like a holiday movie alot, it's about a group of kids, a typical kid group that has the leader, the chick, the silent badass girl, the big kid and others, that for some reason they were involved in a hijacked plane with bad guys, without their parents. The bad guys are two adults (or more, cant remember) ala home alone, where they have to fight them in clever way to take over the plane.
Not really sure it's a movie or direct to video, but i'm sure it's a one-shot because I remembered the ending, where the silent girl can actually talk all along and can fly the plane, she just being edgy. She also chews gum alot and wears shades.
Also a bit backstory, I lived in third world country so back then we hijacked singaporean tv signal to watch English speaking movie, and 6 year old me barely understand english back then, so I can't remember whether it's american or british or even australian (we got plenty of australian contents here), Thanks!
Edited by dandymanopenOne of my favorite shows cause I remember I had to keep figuring out the name cause I would forget Western Animation
So this is SUPER vague but I remember this show and part of it was about this animal I believe it was, painting a house, and I believe there was another animal that didn't really like it but I don't remember it having any audio, maybe some background music but that's it. There was a lot of colors but not bright colors and it was pretty "flat" I guess you could say, and it was from at least late 1990's gosh it's killing me
Does anyone remember the name of a TV show that played after school in the 1990s, possibly the 1980s, that was about two teenage girls and their lives growing up? It was either American or possibly Canadian. One girl was fair, blonde, feminine and trying to be popular, and the other friend was olive-skinned (possibly Italian) with dark curly hair and was a bit tomboyish. It had a feel like 'Degrassi' but, from what I remember, it was mostly just about the two girls. It had a lot of life lessons in it.
