openbeen thinking about it forever :( Videogame
It was an old school video computer game, on the pc i think. I played it as a kid (born in 99). it was kind of a map that you went through. there was a bit where you end up at a fair/carnival-like thing. i also remember a moose (or maybe a horse) who like was in a widow and ate food and made very loud eating noises. sorry this is super vague.
openVideoGame for PS1 or PS2 Videogame
I cannot seem to remember the name of this video game, so I'll do my best to describe it. It was an an adventure quest style game with three characters a magician who had reddish hair, a knight in armor, and a girl. I feel like you were the magician but sometimes would play as the other characters as well. Anyway, that's all I really remember of it I played it a ton back from 2002-2004. Hopefully, someone will be able to help with this.
Thanks,
openTrying to find a game for my boyfriend. Videogame
So my boyfriend told me about a game he has some nostalgia for, but he doesn't remember it very well. I want to see if I can figure it out. What he told me follows:
- hum... it was a point-and-click adventure/puzzle game with educational elements, i think
- there was a puzzle involving a lever, a pulley, and a bucket
- and it took place on an island, i think, after the Earth mysteriously stops rotating
- first person
- part of the game involving finding notes, i think?
- and there was an amnesia element to it—i think the notes were from your past self
- so, tidal locking, amnesia, island, puzzles
- there was also a part with a bridge across a chasm
- i remember that part well because the puzzle i had to do before being able to cross the rickety old rope-and-planks bridge frustrated me
- And he said it might have Myst style controls.
Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.

So There is that game about traveling on a colony of a long-dead alien civilization, only in the middle of your mission, the aliens suddenly appear out of nowhere, readings on your ship indicate that Sol has exploded a long time ago, and you have no idea what's going on anymore except that you might be one of the only humans left in the universe. It also has a prequel novel. I'd appreciate if someone reminded me of the game's name, because I'm stumped.
openGames and monsters Videogame
Again, I have some games I'd like to find:
1.) This one I played in 2007-2011 or so. It featured a human (probably, he wore a hide or something brown) walking through a miniplanet/island like a maze, finding keys. There were huts, “health”-restoring food, and possibly barricades to open/close with the keys. The enemies were alienish, of Shrek-like green, damaging the character by hitting him. They were flying by their legs/limbs resembling ones. Their tongues were hanging from their mouths. They creeped me out as a kid.
The game was probably 3D, or the camera had different angles depending on the direction the character went.
2.) A HP game. I know little about HP universe. It might’ve been one game, or separate ones, but probably the same series. There was Harry, maybe Ron and Hermione too, and a teacher or a villain - at the top of a tower, magic-dueling with each other and/or a monster. The player used a magic wand, and I think there were obstacles to remove/destroy, too.
In a forest/swamp, the characters met hostile clumps of mud resembling melted snowmen which damaged them by spitting mud. However, my sister, who has read the books and seen almost all the films, says there are no mud monsters in HP. So what could it be? Please, try to answer with as little spoilers as possible, I’d like to catch up and read the books someday.
3.) A TV game (2005-2008 or so). The contestants, families (not sure if always), accept a challenge to learn a skill/try something new in a week/two. One episode featured basketball tricks, another controlling a toy plane. The winners won a car. There was always a shot of it standing in a garage/behind a curtain, surrounded with packs of mineral water bottles, “for your health”. Not sure if it was a Czech/Slovak show, or translated.
4.) Any ideas why Jake Marshall’s theme (Ace Attorney, case 1-5 (the bonus one)) could sound so familiar to me? Like composed of two melodies I’ve heard before somewhere - the one at the start, and the flute melody, starting after a few seconds. Could it be from a Scooby Doo game (the “wild west” one), or something else entirely?
Any suggestions are appreciated :-)
Edited by Vicky125openPC game that my friend played in Feb-April 2015? Videogame
The game was a first-person adventure game and looked like it was set in India. The part that I saw had the protagonist traveling through a rural-looking town and shooting down what looked like terrorists. He could enter the huts and collect items from them. To regain health, he used some sort of incense stick and stuck it on his left forearm, then bandaged it. The screen faded to black when he died. I recall a cutscene where he talked to an Indian-looking woman about presumably terrorist activity. The protagonist rode an ATV at one point.
openhanging Prisoner game Videogame
Anyone remember that old game where you have a convicted prisoner in prison and you're trying to find clues in his cell that might lead to his innocence. If you don't succeed, the prisoner hangs himself

They're ruled by an Empress whose cousin is plotting her downfall. The Empire was founded when their descendant united the church factions together, and the church declared him their Emperor. Any ideas?
openWindows 95 game Videogame
I remember playing this game as a kid, it was a disc that came with 4 or 6 mini games. One of them was a triangle jump-peg game. But the game I can't think of was about this colored block, I think his name was bob. And he was going on a quest to find a girl at the end. The whole game is just levels of 2d paths. But the blocks you jumped on would disappear right after you touched them, and eventually there were arrow blocks where you would skip a block after going on them.
I just thought I'd try this out and see if anyone knew. If you don't, that's fine, I don't think it was a very popular game haha.
openBox-collecting puzzle game. Videogame
I had a demo version of this game off a magazine cover CD. You had to move your playing piece (a box) around a grid to collect numbered boxes in order and star-marked boxes in any order. The catch was that when you moved, everything else moved with you, so collecting a box meant trapping it against a wall. You had a limited number of moves and a limited amount of time to complete each level.
openSurvival Horror where you play as The Worf Videogame
Usually the point of a survival horror game is to play a helpless protagonist that is -1 or 0 on the Super Weight scale. I'm looking for survival horror games where the protagonist is tougher than that.
There are action games that are easy to mistake for survival horror games - zombie shoot-em-ups as an example. I'm not looking for that, I'm looking for games where the player character's advantages aren't as helpful as they seem before you play the game.
I'm not looking for a specific game, just any that fit this category: Are there any survival horror games that are designed to put the player on the curb-stomped end of The Worf Effect? The player character would be roughly +1 or +2 on the Super Weight scale and gets curb-stomped by one or more enemies that are +4 or higher, and the explicit goal of the game - the best the player can hope for - is a Curb Stomp Cushion or Pyrrhic Victory.
As a non-existent example, imagine Slender: The Eight Pages programmed with yet another unlockable mode that replaces the player character with a vampire instead of a non-athletic human. The pre-game cutscene might show the vampire successfully catching and draining a human before entering Slenderman's forest. The goal is still to grab the eight pages, with the end-game still being Slenderman catching you no matter what you do. Excellent night vision (represented as Hollywood Darkness) negates the need for the flashlight, but mist still limits how far you can see and you can't become part of it. With no need to breathe, the stamina mechanic that governs how far you run is gone, but Slenderman's Offscreen Teleportation means he can still outmaneuver you. Attempting to fly off as a bat or bite Slenderman is a Press X to Die scenario. A Taunt Button has the player character hiss, with a chance of escalating the aggressiveness of Slenderman's movement pattern or causing an instant game over. THAT is an example of the tone I'm looking for.
Edited by Miss_DesperadoopenArcade game about shooting at a building Videogame
I remember a game from the late 80s, early 90s that had the player controlling a set of crosshairs aimed at a building, shooting at people in the windows and these floating things outside the building. I don't remember if the cabinet had a gun. The art style was similar to Arch Rivals, so it was probably a Midway game. The art on the cabinet showed the player character as a guy with a baseball cap on backwards.
opensong from old game I had (Please Answer) Videogame
in this early 2010's game called pig rush there's a pixel level, in that pixel level there's a sabre pulse song, if you remember (or still have that game.) and you know that song, please tell me what it's called. It's very nostalgic, I want to relive it.
openArt Game Videogame
There was a children's educational game for the PC that had talking animals teaching about art and little music videos about it. Only other thing I can remember about it is that one of the lyrics in a certain music video went along the lines of "still life... portraits... landscapes... ahh! what are the styles of painting?"
openKissing power? Videogame
Does anyone know a video game where one of the characters heal by blowing kisses? I think there were summoning powers too.
openChild protagonist rescuing her father in a mansion? Videogame
There's a video game, on the computer if I'm correct, about a child and her (I cannot remember what the kid's gender is, but I'm pretty sure it's a girl) father. And I'm sorry, but I only remember details about it, and most of them are spoilers, so I'm sorry if you know the game and I spoil it for you.
The two are on the road when the car breaks down, and they go into this creepy mansion. The father goes first, but the child gets worried afterwards, and goes in after him. She is accompanied by a small toy, that she can hear speak, and if I'm not mistaken, the toy is quite mean. Later on in the game, the girl finds she's been followed by a man who can turn invisible, then she confronts a woman and uses her fear against the woman, and gets away, only to be knocked out by the man who can turn invisible. This is all I remember from the game, but I'd really appreciate it if somebody could help me, give me a name of sorts, or at least let me know that you know about it too. Thank you.

Edited by YqatubaopenTwo Top Down Shooter flash games Videogame
I'm looking for these two different top-down shooter flash games that I played back around 2009-10 and I don't know the names of either of them. I played both of these games on this website called Y8.com and they may or may not be also on Newgrounds or Armor Games.
The first one, if I remember the plot correctly, was about this guy trapped in this building and had to fight his way out of it by shooting at these gangsters or terrorists or something. Kinda like "Die Hard" in a way but as a game.
The second one was these top-down arena style shooter where you had to fight these different people that were controlled by the CPU and you had to win each level by getting the most kills. You also had to collect weapons to fight them with.
If anyone has any clue on what they're called, please answer and thanks.

Back around grade 5 / grade 7 - 2002/2004 (in Alberta, Canada), my mom used a piece of software to help us with our homeschooling. It had a variety of subjects, there was a quiz at the end of each lesson, and it was a really well-put together piece. You could customize your profile with a variety of themes, at least one type of quiz had this cool rocket theme where you were zipping about in a space station trying to answer the questions... I learned a lot from that piece of software, and the gamification of the whole thing always made me look forward to learning. I remember there was one video in a water module about not wasting water; it had a song and everything put to videos of people flushing, brushing their teeth, and washing their hands. I may have grown past the need for it, but it still brings me fond memories and I'd like to see if I can find videos of it online.
I thought it was called Operation Schoolhouse, but when I searched that term, all I found was a charity. I don't know if it was widespread or not, but I'd love to find it if possible.
