openYouTube Video, circa 2010-12, Cats Playing Jazz Music Web Original
When I was younger I remember always watching this You Tube video about these orange cat plushies/hand puppets who were playing jazz music. No clue how I found the video, haven’t seen it in years, would show up under searching for “Jazz Cat” or similar. I’ve been searching for this video for years, but haven’t found anything remotely similar. Unsure if the video was posted from an English-speaking channel. I remember a space-looking background and bubble effects at some point in the video. Props were children’s toy saxophones.
Edited by SlimeymimeyopenWeird Sesame Street Fic Reading. Web Original
I am having trouble remembering this one Youtube channel, it it's either Girogioux or G1orgioux-something, but I know that he did a reading of a fanfic he did that was the weird sesame street fic that had either Burt eating a pigeon or killing a pigeon and eating it and making it into a pie and there was a video to go with it that was Bert during the pigeon dance
openEducational online cartoon Web Original
I remember my old science teacher putting on animated educational videos a lot when I was in school, I believe I was in the 6th grade at the time. It followed a human character and a brown robot (I think the robot's name was Toby), answering questions that was sent to them. While I mainly remember watching these in science class, they also tackled other subjects as well. I believe these were flash animated and hosted on their own website, not too dissimilar to Homestar Runner.
openEdgy Russian Web Animation Channel Web Original
It was like some youtube channel of just a Russian guy ranting about random crap, with a fairly simplistic art style in black-and-white(but I remember the animation technique was p good, then again this was like mid-2000s so standards were kind of low). It was mostly him giving his v strange opinions about stuff that I'm p sure were just for the sake of being edgy, like how cannibalism or prostitution should be legal or how annoying he found depressed people to be. Any one remember the name? The cannabalism rant in particular started off with a bit about how rats in a barrel will eventually eat each other.
open2010s creepy "Livestream" with two people Web Original
Hi, I remembered a video I've seen on a website years ago, and I really can't remember what it was. I just know that I felt uneasy watching it.
- I remember typing stuff on Google and it was just there on one of the results near the end of the page. It was between 2012 and 2014.
- It was a video with a feeling of "red rooms" like the movie Hostel or Saw, that kind of vibe. It could have been an ARG but didn't feel like one at all. It was filmed through a security camera where I could see two naked people, one seemed to have blood but I'm not sure. They seemed just... Ok? They didn't look scared or stressed and they didn't seem to know they were on video.
- I'm half sure one of the two people was a woman, I can't confirm, but she/he had short dark hair like a bobcut. This person was from side view, naked and seemingly waiting for something in front of a desk, which had blood on it.
- The room was not empty. There was a saw, screwdrivers, it looked like stuff from a workshop, it looked similar to Silent Hill 3, but it was not a game obviously. But like i said... Nothing was happening there, there was blood but everyone was calm like waiting for something. And the blood was all that was "gore" in there.
I thought it could have been an ad for Hostel or just a porn movie but I can't remember much about it and nothing lead me back to it. If anyone knows or finds something about it, please let me know!
openNeed help finding a video!! Web Original
Hi! I hope I'm putting this in the right category. I have been searching for a video (possibly on You Tube) of a kid rapping to the Wii Sports theme. All I remember from the video is that there were C Ds on the rims on his glasses, and he nods his head forward to make it look like the C Ds are lenses. Then he shakes his head to put them back into place and starts rapping. I only vaguely remember the rap and it was vulgar. I hope this video actually exists and I'm not making it up!!
openSome animation on Youtube regarding a button and an "I Must Scream" situation - CLOSED Web Original
Has anyone ever seen an animation (I'm not even SURE if it's an animation) where someone presents a choice with a button? The idea is that if you press the button, you get like $100(0? $10000?) but you spend like a thousand/million (mental?) years within some empty dimension... with the catch that you won't have any recollection of the time spent in there when you come out, so in theory you just press the button and basically nothing happens?
This animation has been on my mind for the past short while, but I can only remember the premise that I just mentioned, so I don't have much to go off of. I remember seeing it on Youtube, if that helps any.
Edited by Rex-Blanchimont-ZEROopenSherlock fic about Sally Donovan and Molly Hooper Web Original
There was a fanfic I remember but can’t seem to find online. I don’t think it was on ao3 or fanfiction.net, but I may be misremembering. The fic was about Molly being sad that Sherlock has rejected/humiliated her, so Sally feels bad for her and invites her over for a movie night. They eat ice cream and popcorn and watch CSI (with line that was something like, “All you need right now is Gil Grissom.”) and Molly complains and laughs about the “corpses” in the show breathing. I don’t remember how it ended, but it was definitely fluffy. It might’ve gone into more explicit femslash at some point, but I can’t be sure. It was years ago, so maybe the site shut down, but still.
openMany Internet Videos: Names/premises known, cannot find Web Original
I need help finding these videos. I can recall a few of the names, but it's the premises that I remember clearly. It's a pretty long list:
- A video series containing variations of video game enemies. It was a slideshow type of video, fading from one variation to the next. One of the videos was titled "All the Mets", if that helps. (Yes, the Mets from Mega Man.)
- An old video that listed possible characters for the next Super Smash Bros. game, including Nights (from NiGHTS into Dreams…) and some anime character. Silver the Hedgehog and Hatsune Miku may or may not have been in this.
- Another old video series, this time involving Sonic fan character sprites in houses. It was titled "All the X", or something. One of them was "All the Reds", which ended with Stewie Griffin appearing out of nowhere. One of the "Reds" (a red Sonic OC or something) said "Stewie? This makes no sense! Let's start all over from the beginning."
- A Super Mario 64 remix video with the following memes: "Ren Snaps", "It's Over 9000", and "Say What? (Clone High)".
- A "summoning Herobrine" Minecraft video that was a Screamer Prank where the thumbnail of Dane Boe's "Scariest Faces" would pop up and scream.
- A weird children's video that my brother watched involving Spiderman opening eggs with Pokémon labelled as real-world animals (even the substitute doll!) and then beating up bunnies to learn the alphabet.
- Another video my brother used to see, featuring 3D models of gorillas and tyrannosaurus rexes fighting in a war. One of the gorillas escapes and encounters new territories and creatures.
- A video of a rather inappropriate Pokémon Emerald hack, where legendaries would troll Brendan (e.g. Lugia teleporting him outside of his cave whenever he tried to enter), and he also had an affinity for May, especially her "mounds".
- Two gameplay videos of user levels in VVVVVV: One had Viridian navigating a flashing rainbow area (similar to the "Purest Unobtanium" area in the original game), and another one where the player narrowly missed a trinket, followed by a picture of Dragonite popping up with the text "DRAGON RAGE", and then switching to slow-down mode.
- A compilation of funny animal videos that included: A bird making lightsaber sounds, a dog singing to The Sweet Escape, a woman laughing in hysterics to a donkey braying, and turtles... doing it. Yes, really.
- A RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 "Death Park" video with a moment where a bunch of boxes open up at once to reveal lions inside, who go completely berserk over the guests. The logo at the beginning might have had a Yoshi.
- A set of videos that may have come from an interactive website where they were generated. They involved two pig puppets, who would speak gibberish with subtitles that were likely inputted by the person who created the video. One of the puppets had a high-pitched voice, and the other had a lower voice. One video in particular involved the puppets reciting the alphabet, only for one of them to mess it up. It might have been titled "Piggy Tales" (not to be confused with Angry Birds Piggy Tales), "Piggy Stories", or something.
It helps if at least one video is named or found; they don't all have to be found at once.
openGames Website Web Original
There was this website with games for children, including some board game-type thing, something involving Mad Libs, and a "Playground" area with a collection of various games, one of which I distinctly remember being "Log-Rolling".
openDarkfic. Web Original
I am looking for the name of an odd/dark fic that was read by Giogrigux or Gigoriox (or however that guy's name was spelled), it was a Sesame Street one about Bert killing pigeons to make a pie out of them and it had him killing a bunch of other characters as well. I can't remember anything other than the title of the fic.
Edited by NathanforesteropenNo Title Web Original
I've been trying to find this blog where this guy does reviews in character as the Incredible Hulk, written in allcaps. He reviewed a several superhero movies and had a number of posts about story structure, including one about how restrictive the three-act structure can be. I remember it being called "hulkreviews" or something similar, though I can't find it under that name. I remember I got there through a link somewhere on tvtropes.
openOnline short story about a conlang Web Original
It was on a personal website about conlangs, which also had an article criticising Esperanto for being sexist. The short story was about scientists discovering octopus-like aliens on Europa who communicated by sending electrical signals down their tentacles, and they'd figured out how to smelt metal despite living underwater.
openIchor Falls Web Original
Sorry, not much of a question, but why does Ichor Falls by Kris Straub not have its own tropes page, nor is it mentioned on his Creator page?
Edited by CroatoaEngineopenSOLVED! Marvel flash animations, Stan Lee 2.0 Web Original
Back in ye ol' days of Newgrounds, there was a site that hosted a few Marvel-related animations that were released in episodes. Two of which I'm sure were: - A group of teenage superheroes who were just figuring out their element-based powers. AFAIK, no other big A-list Marvel characters were involved, it was just them. And much like comics, there was a new web episode released on said site every week or so. - The one I remember the most was a sort of defective clone or faulty mechanical replacement of Stan Lee. It was always stuck in a cell, strapped to a gurney and wearing a muzzle, much like Hannibal Lecter...except with a Stan Lee face. And it would go on rants about movies, games, comics (of course) and other pop culture items.
I'm VERY sure that the site doesn't exist anymore, but any help with remembering the name of it or where it was hosted (so that I can see if archive.org still holds a copy) would be most appreciated. :)
Edited by fabulouslytitiopenLooking for a slightly weird Sparta Remix. Web Original
I don't remember when, but I once saw a Sparta Remix of a yellow cartoon moose, specifically a Russian one (?). From what I can remember he climbed up into a tree and pretended to be an owl, and the part where he shouted: "Coo, coo/Hoot, hoot", was remixed. If I recall right, it was remixed with the skeleton dance. If any Russian tropers are out there, I'd like some help! It was really catchy if my memory is clear, and I would like to see it again.
Thanks for the help if any!
Edited by RehydratedFortuneopenReview Of A Movie With An Animated Chiodos Segment. Web Original
I saw a review of a show or movie, something sci fi or horror themed and I remember that in the review someone said there was a weird opening segment that was animated/designed by the Chiodo Brothers and the reviewer mentioned Killer Klowns, Critters and an episode of Tales From The Darkside.
openScientific Siblings. Web Original
All I know about this is that it's a Youtube video that is from a channel that is food related or science related and has two twins or siblings, making what they describe as being a 'little human'. I've heard it over and over again but I don't know the title.
openLooking for a Podcast Episode Web Original
It was an episodic horror podcast I can't recall the title of, the episode featured a story about a massive beetle creature and its spouse. They bled gold, and it started taking teeth from humans. Hoping someone else knows this- thanks a lot.

I remember an youtube channel with 2D animated horror shorts, I don't remember the name of anything, but i remember a little of 2 of the shorts, one is of an girl who looks at the window of her house/apartment(I don't remember if it was a house or apartment, but i remember it was a tall building) and sees trough the window of another house a crying baby chained at the wall, with candles around it, then she went there (i don't remember if the door was unlocked or broken, but she got inside the house easily) and fundo the room with the baby, she unchained it and the parents came there a few seconds later, then spider legs grew on the kid and it killed the parents and left, he did let the girl live tho The second is of an maid of an castle/mansion (don't remember either) and her master disapeared one day, and she was suspecting of an certain man to have done something, then, after a few time finding several proofs that he had killed the master, then, during a dinner she sees an eye inside the food she was eating, and says what she has found and acuses him of killing the master and using it's meat as food, I don't remember what he said, but he convinced that it wasn't what happened, and told her to get something in a room with only one door, and she goes there and he closes the door and locks it (i'm sure the short ends here)
