openWhat song is this similar to? Music
Ok this is gonna be a weird YKTS but this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAi6pA8du1I
sounds extremely similar to some other song I've heard but I just can't remember. I feel like if I heard the other song I was thinking about I would recognize it right away. But I just. cant. do. it. anyone know?
open"Mary Ellen Carter" parody about computer crash Music
Does anyone else recall a filk song to the tune of Stan Rogers' "The Mary Ellen Carter", about IBM computers going down at an office? I know my father used to play that song on his comedy-music tape collection, but I have no clue who performed it. I couldn't find it listed among his tapes after he passed, and googling bits of the lyrics hasn't turned up anything.
openFinger Family Song Music
Does anyone know where the "finger family" rhyme featured on many YouTube Kids Channels comes from? I can't find anything on it. I think it might be an Indian nursery rhyme, though I can't find any concrete proof.
openDubstep song suffer aid? Music
This might be a long shot, but there is this dubstep song that is maybe 5 or more years old and in the introduction theres some guy talking about the dangers of dubstep. He says recent studies have found the effects of dubstep to be addictive. Then he says it can lead to increased suffering...suffering..suffering...and then the drop hits. Does anyone remember this one? I thought it was called suffer aid or sufferade, but neither brings anything up in youtube.
openMystery Latin (American!) Songs Music
In elementary school I had to listen to these songs during the annual Cinco de Mayo assembly. I can't transcribe music that good, but I can upload my memories of the melodies along with some descriptions:
Mystery Song 1
:
Very percussive, female singer part of a group, bomba type of song? Lyrics sound like "Regola eggoplatz, donda de exploda"
Mystery Song 2
:
Accordion in the background, but it's in 4/4, not that slow and a male singer
Mystery Song 3
:
Female singer, hand claps, can't remember if the instruments were real or Casiotone but there was a piano in the song.
I won't be surprised if the three were on the same album.
I know that the clips distorted, but I'm hiding my real voice and none of the songs were pitch shifited. I'm paranoid that someone might track me down, and I can't hold a note.
openWhat band(?) is this? Music
A few years ago, I was listening to some electropop (not sure if right genre, but it was electric-y... if that makes sense...) on YouTube by this group, I don't remember their name but it was something like ___ & ___. I remember one of the videos had a Digimon Adventure fanart background (this one
)and another had a Bravest Warriors background (not sure if fanart, I think it might have been the cover of the first comic issue
◊ or at least had a similar artstyle). I also remember their songs were one word titles, the only ones I remember are "Blue" and "Crystals". These videos were posted on electro music channels like xKito Music, although I don't remember if they were posted by the same channel.
openIndustrial Plant Music Video Music
I saw this music video a while back, on Much Music I believe, but cannot remember what the song or band was. The video featured the band in a large, outdoor plant sort of area, with raised passageways (though I may be wrong, I remember one of the final shots of the video was them either ascending or descending stairs, either that or walking away from the area). It was at night, and I don't remember the band playing any instruments. It also went into slow-motion often, or perhaps the whole video was. The most memorable feature though was that either fire or lightning was coming out of the structure, either that or something else bright, perhaps several lights. I remember the brightness being distorted or "stretched out", sort of like when you squint and look at a light. I want to say it was lens flaring, but I don't think it is. Though I doubt this will help, the cover for Propellerheads "Decksandrumsandrockandroll" reminds me of it. The song itself I remember being electronic in someway, though it could've been anything, and being that I only ever watch Much's "Throwback Thursday", I'm willing to bet it was from the 80's or 90's. Also, a quick clarification, I know several of the clues hint towards The Vines Get Free, but it definitely isn't that.
Edited by IHateMyselfAndWantToDieopenIndie song about california Music
The other day in Hollister one of the songs playing was really good, but I can't find it like anywhere. I believe some of the lyrics are "getting close to Indio" and "go to California", breaking the word California into its staccato syllables. There were A LOT of oh oh-oh's. Help?
openSong from a dream Music
This is a weird one but I heard this song in my dream and I am wondering if it is a real song or my subconcious made it up. After I woked up I recorded myself singing the tune for it which you can download here http://tindeck.com/listen/pnywv
openDisney vesion of "We Will Rock You"? Music
Was there ever a full version of "We Will Rock You" done in the voices of Mickey Mousee and the other classic Disney shorts characters?
I remember hearing it on Radio Disney at minimum ten years ago. It was only a snippet but I don't know if it was just an advertisement or not. I know Disney versions of Mambo No. 5 and that Apples and Bananas song exist but I can't find anything on this.
Edited by Pichu-kunopenRecent-ish pop song Music
So I heard this pop song on the radio at a store a couple weeks ago. Kinda towards the end, it had beats that sounded kind of like Zedd, but I couldn't find the song when I searched this songs. If it helps, another song playing on that station was Love Myself by Hailee Steinfield. This is probaby a bad description, but I couldn't tell what the lyrics were so I don't have much to go by, I'd recognize it if I heard it!
openPiano piece from X-Men movie Music
At the beginning of the first X-Men movie (as in, year 2000), there's a scene near the beginning at Rogue's house where she's with her boyfriend and I think her mother is playing the piano in another room. My question is, does anyone know what she's playing? Is it just random exercise or part of a longer piece?
openStereotypical Sad Music? Music

What is the name of this tune? I've heard it in many places but never found the source.
openSong with a chant as a chorus Music
Ok so I'm trying to remember a song I heard on the radio, but I only very vaguely recall it. So for most of it there's a woman singing but when the chorus comes it becomes a man (or group of men) chanting something that sounds like "Slag him off, slag him off, slag him ooooofff" Or similarly "Enough is enough..." The chant voices remind me a bit of the chorus to Tubthumping by Chumbawamba (who do have a song that says "enough is enough..." but sounds totally different.
The song is sort of pop rockish as I recall it. Reminds me of late 90s/early 00s but could be totally wrong on that.
i'd love to find this song. They played it twice in a row when i heard it, but never checked what it was/forgot until now. Thanks in advance!
openNo Title Music
This one is tough because of how much information I have, but how vague it is.
It is a cover of a Western Song, a ballad of sorts if I am correct, that was a fairly common one in America. However, it is a cover in Swedish or some Scandinavian language.
The title is also in Swedish, and the singer was/is a indie folk artist, and this appeared on one of his albums.
He has a wikipedia page, and if I am correct, the original song is somewhere on TV Tropes, albeit, in English.
The album it was on was the only hyperlinked album on the Singer's page.
There is a You Tube video of it, but it only had close to about 400 views or so last time I saw it, which was admittedly a long time ago. It is a grainy low quality video.
The title MAY have something to do with guns, but skutja and jaegar both seem wrong, however they may be an element in the title.
It is a compound name.
Thanks in advance!
Edited by FyreopenVocaloid song Music
I remember there was a very good song that I heard and bits and pieces of the english translation. But, whenever I search for it the results turn out completely blank. Here's a bit of what I remember. "If you were simply not next to me I would entirely miss the point of this song." "Whatever your words are I just want to say them." "Your dream and mine we found both."
openBrush you with my fingertips...my soul... Music
There's this song in Zoey To The Max, near the beginning. The singer is female, and it had guitars in it. The rhyme scheme was AABB, and the only lines I know by heart are "Lead you to the water well", "Brush you with my fingertips", and "My soul". I think it's called "My Soul", but the movie failed to credit it. So I have no idea if it's an original song for its score or not.

Here is something I hope all of you folks can help me with, I was at a gym yesterday and the TV was not on, but classic rock plays in the locker room and I heard this song that somewhat settled me. It had either police or fire sirens, which went on for a little while, and I could not make out the sung words, but I heard some lyrics later (I am quite sure it was the same song, because after a while another song played) saying "time - time - time", it went on about time, I think a cowbell played at a point, but I am not entirely sure. I think it is a song from the 70s - 80s, and it is from a male band. Does this seem familiar to anyone? Please help, thanks guys!
