openOld show they played in middle school about a library Live Action TV
I can't remember the name of this show I watched in middle school. I watched in early 2000s but it looked a little old so maybe it was made in the 90s? I remember a boy would go to this library and the librarian was an old guy and the kid I think would tell the librarian about something that happened that day and the librarian would give him a book. I remember the Anne Frank episode where the kid went to like a holocaust museum or something and the book took him to Anne Frank's time so he could experience it himself? I remember the kid who talk to the librarian, get a book, and be transported to the time the book is set in.
It was one of my favorite things about middle school and I was wanting to see if I could find it to watch again.
Edited by Steampunkeropen80's/90's toddler/kids show Live Action TV
Saw this on a couple of VHS's when I was very young. It had a bright orange intro card, which opens into a live-action someone in an elephant costume sitting at a desk, and in one episode it cut away to an animated Einstein-looking guy counting the numbers 1 to 10 and what they look like; this guy's probably a recurring character but I'm not sure. Thanks for any help!
open90s tv show? Live Action TV
It was a kids show with two brothers (one teen and one younger). One of the episodes was where the older brother accidentally ruined the younger brothers stuffed animal by taking him to the laundromat and I cant for the life of me remember the show name!
open2000s kids show Live Action TV
Not remembering the name of this show is driving me nuts. I was a kid in the 2000s watching it, but for some reason I hardly remember anything! I keep having weird flashbacks remembering that there was like a wall of little doors, or cubbies, or drawers, or something, and the main character (real person, not animated) would go and look in them. I have no idea why that’s the only thing I remember! It might have been on treehouse channel or PBS kids or something...
openTV show with skull floating room to room in intro Live Action TV
Apologies if detail is sparse, but in the late 70’s as a small kid I remember going to my grandma’s. Some days she would have her TV on and a show would come on that I can best describe it started with a skull beginning to float off a shelf and through a room, perhaps to other rooms. Then after the show, the skull would float itself back to its original location. The show may have been black and white, and may have been much older than the era I was seeing it. I wish I could remember more. Does anyone have any idea what show this was? I don’t think it was a movie, I think it was a TV series?
openEarly 90s kid’s show Live Action TV
There was this TV show in the early 90s that was live-action, like it wasn’t a cartoon, but I don’t know if there were people in it. I honestly don’t remember any characters, just the setting. There was a tree in this courtyard surrounded by old looking buildings, and then inside one of the buildings the furniture was covered in white sheets and I think the characters of the show like lived in the walls or something, but again, I have no memory of what the characters were, just the scenery. Any ideas?
openAN OLD "EGYPTIAN" SHOW I WAS SHOWN IN SCHOOL AS A KID Live Action TV
There was an Egyptian cat which taught a couple of kids about ancient Egypt. I think the cat was either black or mummified looking. I think it was on VHS so it must be quite old. I think the cat was summoned after the kids discovered an artefact or something.
openNetflix show, female killer, psychological rehab Live Action TV
I'm trying to remember the name of a tv show that I saw a trailer for on netflix but forgot to save! It was about a woman who had killed her whole family, or she was a servant that had killed everyone she worked for and was deemed insane, has no memory of the act and it follows a psychologist tasked with rehabilitating her... Did I imagine this?
openGOOSEBUMPS-ESQUE SHOW - EPISODE WITH 2 BROTHERS, PARENTS GO OUT OF TOWN... Live Action TV
I'm looking for an episode of a show—I think "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" or "Goosebumps," but I have looked through episode synopses for those series to no avail. There is a pair of brothers whose parents are going out of town for the weekend. The parents hire a nanny/babysitter—an old lady. But once the parents have left, the older brother draws red chicken pox-like dots all over his arm and, when the old lady arrives, pretends to be his father and tells her they're sick, they have canceled their trip. She goes away so the brothers have the place to themselves. Then turns out there is a monster in the house. Please help!
openUnknown emergency show from 90’s Live Action TV
TV and Movie Buffs I need help!!! Fire rescue tv show from the 90’s
There was a show in the 90’s (almost positive) that was an emergency rescue show (fire fighters EM Ts etc...) from my childhood that I am trying to remember. I don’t remember much but I remember 1 scene with pretty good detail. It is as follows:
A couple have just been involved in a pretty bad crash, [i believe] a freeway overpass or support beam has fallen on the vehicle and both individuals are badly injured. After a lengthy assessment they have determined that the unconscious female is going to die if she is not extricated quickly, which means removing the chunk of concrete on top from atop the vehicle. Now for the kicker.. her bf (or husband) is only still alive because the slab of whatever is holding him together. He has been cut nearly in half and after they remove slab of concrete he will die shortly after. With time short for his wife, he sacrificially instructs the Fire dept to remove the slab from the car and you can guess what happens from here.
I thought FOR SURE this was Third Watch but I have watched the series again in the last few years and was sadly disappointed. Then I thought ‘maybe it was rescue 911’ but that more based off of true 911 calls so I feel it is also wrong. Someone out there must know the answer!!! Google has failed me.
openBoy and his bear? Live Action TV
I joined this site just to try and find this memory... This would've occurred somewhere around 1998/99 and I'm pretty sure I saw it at my grandma's house, which means it would've aired on PBS, CBS, NBC, or ABC. The only things I remember are it was a real human boy, and a person in a bear costume. I had thought the bear might be his teddy bear come to life. They were some place dark and shadowy, I think it was a bedroom at night. I can't tell you if this was a tv show, movie, specific episode of a completely different show, or even a commercial for something. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
openPlease help Live Action TV
The show is at least 10 years old, There's a group of survivors in a destroyed city that are supposed to survive there for 2 months, the show specifies that it's not actually post apocalyptic they're just trying to survive in a what if scenario,I think they're getting paid if they survive but I don't remember, they survive in a warehouse, And in one of the episodes they build a water filter out of a barrel and some rocks, and some sand, and a traitor"other survivors" comes in on a truck to sell them stuff The people in the truck are holding AK-47s there are some chickens on the back of the truck,
Edited by Qtea1973openTrue crime or fake crime Live Action TV
I watched it in like 2010 so it had to air before that. There was two detectives, one girl (i think it was olivia benson from svu but i can't remember) one boy, they're in a car with the criminal driving in the dark, looking for the murderers latest victim. The killer monologued and we find out that when he was little he found a lady who fell in a well and inside of helping her, he spit on her and she died and thats why he likes murdering people. He worked at a store that turned home video vhs's into dvds or something of the sort and he would hand pick the girls he'd murder based on the videos he saw because he wanted them to have something to fight for, like a child or a church. He kidnapped a blonde lady and left her in a church and she could tell what day it was because of the church bells and that wasnt the girl they were lookin for but she was dead and a singer i think. And eventually the killer says something that gives away the location of the girl they were looking for, because it was near either a church or a school where they would play a song in the morning and the girl detective knew the song and they rescued the girl, she had dark brown hair, super pasty from being kidnapped, and a boyfriend. The end of the episode is her reuniting with her boyfriend and the lady had a blue blanket i think. Please help me find this, its been bothering me for years
open60s or 70s horror movie or TV show Live Action TV
I need help looking for a lost piece of media. I'm not entirely sure if it's lost, I just can't find it. Unfortunately, I only remember a tiny bit of it because I saw it when I was 4 or 5 years old and I only saw maybe a minute of it. "It" being some sort of horror movie or T.V. episode from the 60's or 70's. I was born in 96 so this was around 2000-2002. I think it was from the 60's or 70's because the quality it was filmed in looks very similar to movies and T.V. shows from that time period. Ok, now for the explanation of what I saw that terrified me. There was a view of a long road that slightly twisted a bit like a snake. Around the road was grass and open fields except behind it there was either a small forest or large trees, most likely pine. The camera started to pan out reveiling a car going down the road. I can't remember what the car was, but I believe it was a long sedan which would match American Sedans from the 60's and 70's. As the car was reviled, a man started to talk and as the camera panned out more it reviled and man with brown hair with his back towards the viewer. I don't remember what this man was saying, probably just summarizing what happened. He was wearing a long sleeved shirt and long pants. Then he turned around and it wasn't a man, it was some sort of monster. I think it was a werewolf because he was hairy with sharp teeth. I was really scared of werewolves growing up and still kind of am, so when I saw this I jumped out of fear and hid under my families couch. My dad was there and calmed me down. It should be noted that I walked into the room while my dad was watching T.V. skipping through channels when the image of the road came up and my dad stopped there. I asked my dad about this recently he doesn't remember any of this, probably because he "humorously" scared my sister and I all the time and still does from time to time. Anyway, I can't find this darn thing anywhere. I looked through 80's wolfman movies just to make sure it wasn't from that decade and found nothing. The 80's had a ton of wolfman movies so I thought maybe it might be from then, but no luck. Also, I'm still scared of werewolves and wolfmen, so I'm sick of looking lol. Anyway, if any of you can help me with this, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
Note:
It was not the Twilight Zone Movie opening
It was not this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjnSld67-jY
It was not An American Werewolf in London opening

open90s family sitcom Live Action TV
I'm looking for the name of a live-action American or Canadian family sitcom from the 90s. Here's what I remember about it:
- The end credits had the family from the show as animated caricatures/bobbleheads driving go-karts/buggies/beetles
- The family had two parents, two boys and a girl maybe called Charlotte. I think the girl was older than the boys. I think the mum was blonde and the dad was blue collar.
- It was a very generic show, not famous or serious. It might have been short-lived because I don't remember more than 2 episodes (I watched A LOT of TV as a kid)
- One episode had the girl and the boys playing in the garage when they were told not to, then dropping a marble into a car engine that the dad/older male relative was working on and the kids were freaking out. In the end of the episode it turned out that the marble wasn't in the car after the kids looked for it everywhere.
- It was from the mid 1990s - 2000s (I remember it was airing around the same time as Brotherly Love)
- The family had a big house and big living room
I read every list of sitcoms I could find on IMDB, Wikipedia, TV Tropes but couldn't figure out the show. It might have aired on some Optus cable channel, Nickelodeon or the Disney Channel in Australia but it was not Australian. I hope that somebody knows what it is! I thought it was "Home Improvement" but the credits and characters don't match.
openREALLY scary Star Trek episode commercial. Can anyone identify Live Action TV
So in the mid 90s or so I was watching tv and there was this ad for an upcoming Star Trek episode (I'm not sure which series, I've never really been into Star Trek and I don't think I even knew about the different series at the time) that scared the crap out of me. It started out talking about how people such as prisoners of war have been tortured throughout history (including what I thought at the time was a clip showing real life torture, though I am probably wrong) then went on to say something about how in the episode the good guys would encounter some alien race that "turn torture into a science" or something along those lines. I remember I recording some other show when the ad came on and kept watching it as even though it was really scary I was still kind of interested in it. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
open"I'm my own elf!" Live Action TV
I remember a live-action Christmas movie about Santa and one of his elves in the US (not at the North Pole) where the elf exclaims that he isn't Santa's elf; "I'm my own elf."
I've quoted that line - "I'm my own elf!" for years but have no idea where it came from. Can anybody help me out?
openLooking for spooky show/movie Live Action TV
Looking for a movie / tv show. Unfortunately, I remember only a few scenes from it. I saw it around 1995-2000 on TV.
The film was made in the style of Goosebumbs. Light horror. It began that the young boy was supposed to deliver (I think) a pizza. He was on a skateboard. He entered a large house and when he was already deep inside, he saw that the front door was closing. He pushed the skateboard across the ground to block the door but failed.
In the next scenes, he saw the policemen / firemen out the window but they did not even hear him shouting. When he tried to break the window with a skateboard, the atmosphere in the house changed to a more dark / gloomy.
He tried to call on the phone he found at home but suddenly the cable from the phone began to choke him like a snake.
Next to the stairs to the first floor was a very long hallway with a rug. The carpet began to move to bring the boy into the bright, square hole that was at the very end. The hole had no bottom
At the end of the handrail from the stairs was a wooden ball which at the end of the movie began to shine and float up and down. In the last scene the boy hit her with a skateboard and the ball smashed the mirror through which he got out to the restaurant of his uncle / father in which he worked.
There was also an old father clock that counted down time. The boy probably had to get out of the house as soon as possible, or else he would die.

I remember seeing a kids show with a male main charactor who wore a blue superhero suit. One of the villains wore a red suit and had a lobster claw for his hand. The hero would often stop the claw from doing bad things. This show has been bugging me for about 5 years now and i just cant remember its name.
