openBizarre Netflix cartoon on an island
A bunch of worm-like creatures get stranded on an island in the middle of nowhere. One episode has two characters doing magic stuff to a volcano, but it requires a drum so they use another character’s butt as a substitute.
openComedy sci fic movie?
I remember a live action movie with I think a black male lead, where some alien microbe lands on earth. They restrict it to a single area but it starts evolving and create a full ecosystem within days. Then apparently it makes small people and shit happens with the dude's girlfriend and Shipper on Deck shenanigans ensue? Something like it.
openEpisode of a cartoon show with a volcano Western Animation
I remember part of seeing some episode of a tv show in The '90s that involved two groups of soldiers (or something) fighting near the mouth of a volcano. The good guys were afraid that the bad guys might throw a grenade or something in the volcano, which would set it off (?) I can't remember anything else but I assume they didn't succeed in setting off the volcano. I also remember the scene had some scary background music that I think sounded a little like this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6uP0wIQ9aY
but with no words.
openKids show about exercising and doors
The main character is a little girl who goes to different doors by jogging in place and does stuff
I’m not good at explaining things
Edited by Byssa6openCover of Mr. Blue Sky Music
Now, I will admit, I am not very good at describing songs compared to other mediums, so this might not get as good of a result, but I will try anyway.
I remember from my childhood this cover of Mr. Blue Sky that seemed to have a less cheerful tone compared to the original, it had a slower piano opening, the opening lyrics started at a slower pace as well, and the ending wasn't quite as long in addition to ending with the lyrics "Mr. Blue Sky why?" being repeated (I think) with no "please turn me over" robot voice at the end.
Edited by KingofNightmaresopenpoorly animated short series about an angry man that looks like it's from the early to mid 2000s Western Animation
What I can remember is there was a large angry man who always had an open mouth ready to yell or argue, he had a super energetic son who bounced on a trampoline indoors and got hurt, his wife mumbles constantly. I believe he had a neighbor who was a duck and he hated him but I honestly can't remember much. it was a mini series, Like 6 episodes or something, all in Black and White. looked like it was drawn on an old school Windows computer.
openOld Mon series?
Trying to help my friend track down an old Mon series she remembered watching; the most I know is that it aired in the Phillipines at some point and the details she remembers (listed below):
"it was like a digimon/pokemon/bakugan style show, 2 boys 2 girls"
"the protagonists were school age and had the same sort of outfit vibe of like, the dinosaur king kids"
"one girl was raised by like her grandma or her mom's friend (her mom died/disappeared in an incident because she's a scientist and you know how scientists always get caught up in some form of nuclear-equivalent explosion), stereotypical shy and forgetful type"
"the main boy was the stereotypical fiery one, not that book/school smart"
"the other boy has a dead older brother who I think played baseball?"
"the other girl might have been blonde but definitely rich from what I remember"
"there was an episode with the standard there are two doors, said episode also had the main boy his main monster and some other rando go through a maze and then have to solve a riddle but they were all too stupid to solve the riddle"
"there's a painting in like A base of the team that depicts main character boy and his monster/a different monster (cant remember) in The Other world where the poke-digi-guys live. main boy doesnt remember so its very confusing"
"the monster friend things are less pokemon copies, but rather closer to digimon. In that they live in a seperate world and have their own sort of society"
openBook - Kid pretends to have "appendatocious" Literature
It's a novel, and a kid tries to play sick by clutching their (I can't remember if it was a boy or a girl, but I think it might have been a boy) belly and saying, "I think I have appendatocious!". Someone else (the kid's father, I think), replies, "That's appendicitis!".
openBait and Switch Horror Movie Radio Ad
So, I remember this radio ad that really got my attention. It pretended it had switched back to the station and played "We Found Love" for a few seconds before switching to sounds of screaming and horror and revealing that it was a horror movie ad all along. Anyone know what horror movie that ad was for?
openChildren's story about an iceman Literature
I vaguely remember from school a children's story - structured like a fairy tale, although I don't think there were any fantastical elements - about an iceman who keeps trying to get a household to buy ice, even though they keep telling him they have no use for it. Eventually an old man dies, and the iceman refuses to sell to them. I think we were supposed to be on the iceman's side for some reason? Not sure why.
openHelping a friend Literature
A friend's trying to track down a series she remembered as a kid; apparently it was advertised pretty heavily at the school book fairs she attended (she was living in the Philippines at the time). Here's the infor I got from her:
"I remember a book/comic book series that they were advertising because us kids liked it and it was this girl who was basically really smart and a sort of unwill [sic] detective her outfit vibe was like, emo or punk, just generally darker and "gloomier" colours and her sister and dad were sunshines"
"smart girl helps people and she has a male sidekick/friend who I think is brunette and is the reason she's helping in the first pplace [sic] she's a recluse and very smart from what I vaguely remember"
"I remember there being a goldfish at the end of one of the comics? the comics were the size of magazines btw dont [sic] know if that matters she has like black-blue hair"
open3D beat 'em up set in Japan, possibly part of a series? Videogame
It was probably for the Playstation 2, possibly late Playstation 1, and I think it had "Brothers" in the title. On the surface it was fairly down-to-earth (i.e. all the enemies, at least from what I had seen, were regular humans), but it had a bunch of over-the-top special moves. The one move that I remember in particular involved the player character knocking the target's soul out of their body (I want to say that it was done via a slap, but I'm not 100% certain), which I think reduced the victim's stats or otherwise left them more vulnerable if they still had health afterwards.
Edited by Radayamresolved A paintball movie with a green crystal [Solved]
I remember seeing a paintball-based warfare movie, in which a family is accidentally conscripted as the yellow team. They make their way through the game and win against all odds, with the goal revolving around a giant green crystal in some capacity.
One humourous scene involves them shooting a guard in a warehouse down and he acts like he's dead, despite their prodding, to his annoyance, because of how the rules work.
Any ideas?
Edited by RewanDemontayopenBook where there are girls who go out granting wishes
They have something that glows when they’re near the wisher, and I think the main character was purple.
The main character meets a girl who she thinks is the wisher, but later realizes it was another girl who didn’t have an amazing reputation and the wish was to make friends or something
resolved LightNovel.ReincarnatedAsAVirus
LightNovel.Reincarnated As A Virus
Quick search doesn't show anything with the picture, and the Authors Note is suspicious.
If it doesn't exist, we should either toss it on Darth Wiki, or cut it.
Edited by Maladyresolved Disney short invovling alien abduction Western Animation
I recall a disney short where a woman is kidnapped by an alien robot and taken to his homeworld where she's subjected to various experiments, all while her scientist husband is puffing his pipe, completely oblivious... until the end, when the robot returns to the woman, but takes the man.
open2000's Disney or Nickelodeon Show Live Action TV
I remember this was a live action show, akin to Zoey 101. The main character, a girl, does something bad, and this breaks "The Girl Code". She later has a dream where her she sees her brain as one big file room, and has to resolve the bad thing she did. The episode ends with her understanding what "The Girl Code" is. Any help would be appreciated.
openShows with a total of 3 seasons and 27 episodes Live Action TV
Hi all. I'm doing some research into the structure of TV dramas and thought I'd ask here if anybody knows of any shows that fit the criteria in the title, above (i.e. were shown for a total of 3 seasons and 27 eps).
Have tried to search on IMDB, but can't find how to use the required search strings (if anyone knows, please advise); Chat GPT keeps giving me incorrect answers, as much as I had fun looking there. So, I thought I'd try the deep well of knowledge that is TV Tropes, to see if anyone can help.
Thanks in advance.
Edited by SnitzopenFormer Netflix horror
I don't remember if I posted about this before. It's a movie I saw on Netflix several years ago. Started out with a serial killer being executed. In his last moments he started to rant in a super-low, possibly demonic-sounding voice about the atrocities he'd committed against the children of the area and I believe claiming he'd return. If it's the same movie (and I'm like 99% sure it's the same) then it follows up with him coming back as some sort of monster.

I remember seeing a music video at a Dave and Busters but I can't remember anything about the song that goes with it. The plot of the video is that a woman and her daughter are driving but get hit by a truck at the intersection; then time rewinds or something and a member of the band races across the city in order to save them, which he manages to do by running in front of their car before they can pass through the intersection, ensuring that they stop and the truck misses them.
