openWe used to rent it from blockbuster Live Action TV
It was a show about a group of adventurers and every episode/ film had them go through a portal to another plant or dimension in which shenanigans would insue. The only episode I remember is one where the team was captured by a giant child and put in one of those plastic things that kids put lizards and stuff in. The show always started with the teams ship going through a doctor who-esc wormhole/ portal
open1970's or 60's Children's Christian TV Show Live Action TV
I don't think this is going to be an easy one! The TV show played early in the morning in New England in the early 70's or 60's. The show had some child angel puppets, a boy and a girl I think, and adult live actors. The theme song went something like "It's a new day". Or "It's a brand new day". I was very very young when I saw it and can't seem to Google it. Too much Christian "It's a brand new day" clutter!
Edited by reedberopenTV Commercial Live Action TV
There's some kind of 00s TV commercial that was advertising some kind of toy/product for kids (kinda like moon sand, floam, blendy pens, etc), and all I remember is the male voice saying "Water!" and kids saying "Whoa!" Then again, "Water!!" "WHOA!!" I remember laughing at that as a kid, ("they're so excited of water!") but I cannot remember what it was.
Edited by cryptinaopenTwo life-action kid shows from the Noughties Live Action TV
Hi! I remember watching two shows when I was younger, between 2005 and 2010. Note that I live in Spain, but I'm positive these shows came from an English speaking country.
1. A Disney Channel show about a boy and a girl. One of them lives in a warm place (like California) while the other lives in a snowy place (like Alaska). The boy's parents force him to sleep in the basement, and there he finds a weird... slimy portal, hidden behind a closet. It turns out he can use said portal to travel to the girls house, and vice-versa. I'm pretty sure it was a show, but it could have been a movie.
2. A Nickelodeon show about a boy who use to be a bully, so an old man (not sure if he was a wizard or if he had weird sciencey/cosmic powers) transforms him into a dog as a punishment. He is then taken in by the boy he used to buly. The show is about the bully trying to redeem himself by doing a series of good deeds (100?) so the old man will turn him back into a human.
It would be awesome if you could help me. Thanks!
opentrying to remember a fantasy style tv show i saw as a kid Live Action TV
i saw this show (kids/teens target audience) when i was younger sometime in the early to mid 2000's i think: what i remember was a group of teens got a power each and i seem to remember that they had colours associated with the powers. i think one of them had the black associated power that let them see far away and like down corridors and round corners if you know what i mean by that. the only other thing i remember i recall is it having a somewhat oriental theme to it. (edit) it kinda reminds me of power rangers but i don't think it was and i think there was two sisters one older and one younger who were like the main characters of the group with the older one being like the stereotypical group leader .
if anyone has any idea what show i'm talking about it would be a great help to know what it was called
Edited by jampixelopenFantasy TV series Live Action TV
Hi guys, I was searching for a tv series (some sci-fi comedy, like "The Secret World of Alex Mack"), probably created in late '90. It is set in some future where machine/eldritch abominations roam the planet and humans are treatened by them and a race of replicants: they look human but they can morph their forearms into energy blasters (a tangle of tubes that ends with three barrels). In the episode that I saw the main character was indeed the protagonist's doppelganger (a blonde girl): she was sure to be human but, even after discovering the truth, she sacrificed herself to save her friends from another replicant (a dark skinned woman with silver hair named Lily)
openMystery/ fantasy tv show??? Live Action TV
Don't remember much sadly but I remember it was about a woman who had a dark history and she ended up running in the woods at some point and she finds this young girl.. who turns out to be either herself or her sister or something? And they have this long conversation and the woman either figures out the girl isn't real or isn't who she says she is or something like that. I really only remember that one scene and they were hiding behind a mossy rock the entire time they talked..
openAlice in wonderland/ fantasy themed tv show early 2000's Live Action TV
Sometime in the early to mid 2000's there was a show that aired on tv. It was a tv series and I'm pretty sure it had atleast 1 season. The main character was a girl with blonde hair. I remember her going to a White Castle. And I remember it being something like Alice in wonderland/ wizard of oz type of show. Fantasy with princesses and such I think. think she had to fight an evil queen or run for her life or something. Can't remember was too young to care but it's driving me crazy now please help!!
openSome kind of little kids show? Live Action TV
I honestly don't remember that much from it...I feel like I watched it when I was really little. I'm from the US and was born in the late 90s so I mostly grew up in the early 2000s but it could have been fron the 90s. It was some lady's house(i remember a red hat? and brown/dark hair? she might have been some kind of painter or possibly a teacher?) and she sang songs about different things but what stands out the most is this one episode where they go to some kind of farm? or just go outside into a field and there's some weirdly 2d green screen effect like fruit dancing and there was some kind of song....the fruit werent puppets it was some kind of weird animation. also, i don't know why but I vaguely remember the house being white on the outside? and really neat/creative on the inside. it wasn't the big comfy couch but it had that kind of kids show vibe to it........I'm not sure if it even exists. Thanks in advance! It's been bugging me off an on for years and yet I never seem to find anything about it. I might have watched it on VHS if that helps.
openMid 90s weird facts show. Live Action TV
I remember I used to watch this show all the time. I don't know how much truth there was behind the stories, I think it may have been a fact or fiction type show. They had creepy facts about the different places in the world. The one scene I remember most is the host talking about how a long time ago kings used to behead people and the head could see for seconds after it was cut off and that a woman was said to have run away from her head, a certain amount of distance, breaking some kind of record in the town. I swear it was on Nickelodeon but haven't found it on any of nicks listings. It had a lot of other interesting weird history, but that part scared the shit out of me.
Edited by RhetoricalDogopenBoy detective show Live Action TV
Okay, this one is going to be a tough one. I've been asking for years if anyone remembers a tv show from the early 90's for kids. It's main character was a boy who solved mysteries, and I THINK his name was Sherman Luck, or some other play on Sherlock. I think I thought he was played by Fred Savage, but I haven't found this on his IM Db page, so it must have been someone who looked like him. He had a sidekick who was a blonde girl, and much taller than him. He also had a bully duo on the show, one was a big brute of a guy who was the brains, the friend was a tall, skinny kid with short dark hair who was basically his punching bag. Their names might have been Mort and Artie (again, a play on Moriarty, this show seemed way too smart for its own good, in hindsight)
One episode, there was a string of fires breaking out in a building (library?) in broad daylight. It turned out to be a clumsy girl, who was that way only because she left her thick glasses out because she was embarrassed to wear them, and they refracted the sunlight onto papers.
Another had to do with a guy in a straight jacket who was obsessed with his complete collection of baseball cards. They got stolen, and the room they were stolen from was getting really hot really quickly. Sherman found dishwashing gloves near the scene of the crime, and inside them were what turned out to be broken painted nails from this southern Belle in the episode. When she was blamed, she claimed that there was no evidence that she had them. Sherman throws a baseball at the air controls, and the fan kicks on, blowing the cards out, showering the collector as he shouted "my cards! My cards!"
In what I think was the final episode, Sherman learns about some rose used to stop a war, and it was placed inside a monument. Someone broke into the monument, and Sherman was stumped. He started playing his drum set as he pondered his list of scenarios for how each of his suspects would have done it. (Mort using Artie's head as a hammer/club to crack it open.) It turned out that the rose was inside but only if you unlocked it this special way, and there was a gold-plated rose in a secret chamber within the secret chamber.
openStrange British TV thriller Live Action TV
I'm trying to recall the name of a strange mystery thriller shown many years ago in UK (think it was BBC, but not sure). The plot involved a hitman trying to find out what had happened to his brother. He infiltrated a cult which I think was called Church of Christ Psychopath and was run by a very strange chap who had a thing about samurai swords. Very weird stuff happened, and the final climax included the bad guys being distracted by a corpse apparently rising from the grave, thus giving the hitman the chance to turn the tables. Apparently the corpse wasn't reanimated, it was pushed up by burrowing badgers - I said weird things happened! It was run either very late 60s or 70s, I think. Anyone got any ideas?
open70s or 80s Sat. Morning show with a Guy and a Computer Live Action TV
There's a show I vaguely remember watching when I was like 4 or 5 on Saturday mornings after the usual cartoon lineup. It was live-action and had a guy who had this computer that he talked with. The screen had an early computer graphic "face" on it. Sometimes he would go out into the streets with his computer "friend" on basically an "iPad" type device. I think it may have been semi-educational. And I seem to think the guy had a 70s porn 'stache or beard and wore a newsboy-style hat. That about all I remember. Please help! Thanks.
openThat one Book of Pooh episode Live Action TV
What was that Book of Pooh episode where Pooh, Rabbit, Tigger and I think Piglet went on a camp out and Eeyore joins them later in the night called?
openTv show on two teens who debunk myths and mysteries Live Action TV
I somewhat remember this tv show around 2011? Somewhat newer and it was about a teen girl and boy who debunked mysteries and myths with the help of a somewhat nutty scientist. It was on early in the morning or late at night. Any ideas?
openGritty Arab, Turkish or Israeli spy thriller / crime drama tv show? Live Action TV
I took a Greyhound-like bus ride last week, and in the seat ahead of me, a Middle Eastern-looking younger guy binge-watched a TV show that had Arab subtitles. it seemed llike a gritty spy thriller or crime drama.
it seemed to be set in a government agency or the secret service or some special police task force: an ensemble drama with a male lead, very modern and cold looks (lots of blue, steel, light grey, bad weather). there was a coworker or data analyst etc. who wore a hijab. everything looked sleek and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."-like. I didn't see supernatural elements, but there were quite a lot of bombs, snipers etc.
it could have been the Turkish show "Icerde", but the colors of "Icerde" look too saturated. I don't think it was Israeli spy drama "Fauda" because the setting was much less bright/sunny. it reminded me of "Spooks", the British spy drama. the episodes were on Youtube, and the show looked very new (2012 or later). Good videography, high production values and just all-around interesting: I was sure that I could find it on Google right away. it looked like a popular, big-budget show.
openImagination and kids Live Action TV
A small group of kids/teens would travel these scenes of imagination. Can't remember when but figure late 80s - early 90s. Don't even remember the real main premise but some scenes I remember are; they walk into this room and see a guy sitting at a table holding a teaspoon above a cup so that when he falls asleep it clatters and wakes him up, another one is they go to this box building with two doors and signs above them- one says work and the other play- when they go in each door they find the opposite kind of scene then they were expecting, last one I can remember clearly is they come across a set of stars that are an optical illusion that just keep climbing to itself that they climb. I also believe the opening had a hot air baloon but don't quote me on that one. P. S. Sorry for no spacing, on phone, has no way of creating new line [Enter].
Edited by LostLinxopenGaurdian Angel Sitcom? Live Action TV
I vaguely remember a few clips from a show that centered on the topic of a Guardian Angel who was tasked with helping a high school student. God or the the equivalent of him was depicted as a giant head( an old man who might have been wearing glasses). In one episode the angel helps an old black woman who died in her home of presumably natural causes. He takes her to meet the giant head and she says "You never told me he was so handsome!" In another, the angel spends the day with a rock star. This was not a traditional looking angel. He was just a teen in a jacket and jeans. This was not a show that operated under the assumption that any one religion was true as far as I could tell. Any help is greatly appreciated,. It would be nice to have a name to put to the memory. This was a live action show with a laugh track and everything.
Edited by Benthelameopen2008ish TV series Live Action TV
I'm trying to remember the name of this one series. I remember the promotional material for season one had an african american as the president of the United States saying "I'm the president of the United States, I have a right to know" or something along those lines and the first episode of the series featured a plane disappearing.
What was the name of that show?

Saw a trailer for a show on youtube. Don't know if it's a new show or another season.
Show seems to center around a group of girls after something knocks the power out to the US/World (I think it was a solar flare). In the trailer a dad tells a teenage daughter that things are going to get ugly/bad. There's also a scene where a girl and guy a pointing guns at on another and the girl tells him he seems normal. I also recall people sitting with their laptops but they stop working.
Been searching for a few hours and everything turns up Revolution, but that is NOT the show.
Thanks!
