There was this book I read when I was younger (probably in the Young Adult genre or whatever you call it) where a girl believes she is living in colonial times (I think) but is actually living in the present. Her mom then encourages her to escape. I think the mom gave her a pair of old blue jeans before she left. That's all I remember...

I'm looking for two things: A; I was trying to find a very very old Saturday Night Live sketch in which Shirley Temple is appointed as the ambassador to a small African country and B; a real life case of a serial killer turned playwright who authoured a few critically acclaimed plays, I think a he was mentioned in a cracked article a while back.

I remember a film or possibly a miniseries about an American family that winds up in the Bermuda triangle, which transports them to another dimension where it turns out Atlantis is located. I don't remember much of what actually happens on Atlantis, except for a haunting scene in which the father meets his dead brother in an abandoned building at night. The brother has gone blind and wears a rag across his eyes. At the end, the family is teleported back to Earth where they end up in Stonehenge, causing a local tourist guide to remark something along the lines of "Americans think they own the world".

Years and years ago I saw an animated series about monster hunters. The team consisted of two guys in weird metallic suits, a werewolf, an Frankenstein-monster knockoff and a woman with visions who I think was called Lizzie. That's a lot of detail, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was actually called. It wasn't a very good series but the question has been driving me mad.

I remember having this DVD compilation of various Christmas themed animated shorts. There was a rendition of Frosty the Snowman that involved him trying to find something while he was melting or something, and it may or may not have involved a gun. Then there was one with a dog and I think a cat or puppy. The dog had ill feelings towards the cat and had a Good Angel, Bad Angel moment, tried to harm the cat, (and I think he might've succeeded) and felt guilty afterwards. Then there was one with with hibernating bears, and the cubs left when they were supposed to be hibernating, and something happened with a bridge going out.

There was a family in the jungle, it might have been an island, and the young son was sick, so the daughter and mother stayed behind to take care of him while the older son and father went out and looked for a plant that could help him. The mother begins to fall sick, and the older son finds the remains of a plant, but that's all I remember.

Here's a Christmassy one. A live-action commercial I saw on TV, maybe ten years ago. Can't remember what it was for, but it was about getting really obvious presents for Christmas. All the presents shown in the ad — including a baseball and a bat — were so tightly wrapped that you could see their shapes perfectly and it was obvious what they were. Perhaps the final shot was a wrapped present that was clearly a live dog, covered tightly in wrapping paper, wagging its tail.

Anyone remember a dark indie movie? It was 2 or three short stories in one film. The first was a fake documentary where a kid surprised everyone by flying and they interviewed everyone after the fact.
Another story was set in a prison, it was about a new prisoner who no one respected. There was a flashback to him in juvenile hall where a group of bullies made him stand in the yard and catch their spit in his mouth.

about a polar bear and an Absent-Minded Professor? It seems so familiar... Sadly, I don't speak arabian. The animation style makes me think it's anime but I'm not so sure.

My friend was talking about an old Clint Eastwood film she saw but couldn't remember the name of. she described it as "ancient but surprisingly risque".
Clint Eastwood stars as a prisoner of war (not sure which war). At one point he's in a brothel (or maybe an orgy. her description is vague). He dies at the end of the film, from the gangrene of an amputated leg.

A movie I saw about 3 alien guys from outer space becoming friends with this girl. A swiming pool was involved and it was very cheesy. I think one was red, one was blue and one was yellow. A little similar in plot to Encino Man.

It was quite some time ago, possibly on network television, making the damn thing even older, but it was a sci-fi/thriller film with the main premise being slipping slightly out of phase with reality by approximately seventeen minutes. Most of the film was set on a large airliner, and while "out of phase" the plane was attacked by creatures that resembled an orange hairball with far too many teeth.
The climax of the film had the plane land to early, take off, and try to fly the exact course again, to slip bakc into phase with reality. I can't remember any of the actors, but it's been really bugging me of late.

It's actually a manga, but I'm pretty sure that it's an anime too.
I'm looking for an anime/manga that has a new teacher at a juvenile delinquent school. She was the daughter or grand-daughter of a high ranking or the boss of the yuzuka, and she took the job to get away from it, or something.
I remember that she always wore a jumpsuit to school and she beat a lot of people up. I read it about two years ago and something made me remember it...

I'm looking for a videogame my uni room-mate used to play. It was a horror game, and the final boss was this guy with tons of weird metal mechanisms in his face, and you had to rip them out to defeat him. In the ending sequence, then guy you played as has his back to the camera, and he suddenly spins round and screams, and his face has been taken over by the same mechanisms as the boss.

I remember very briefly as a child, there was a program/film about a boy who had a friend who lived under the stairs. Im sure there was something about a film crew as it was halloween, the presenter/reporter asked the little boy to draw what the man looked like, and the child drew a clown. At the end the child said his friend was there and the crew rushed down to see, and the clown (who you couldnt quite see) grabbed the presenter. It was utterly terryfing and no-one remembers it!! Any ideas?
p.s im fairly sure it was broadcast in the UK before sky tv, so it would've been bbc, itv or channel 4.
Thanks :)

When I was a kid I recall seeing a cartoon (it was western style animation I think) about a city in the could floating thanks to power from some crystals that a special unit from that city was frequently gathering on earth below. The planet was somehow heavily corrupted and there was this evil bunch of villains that was trying to stop them and they were kind of ugly... all mutated and stuff. I think they were flying on some robotic things, but I also recall some giant birds OR gigantic flying dinosaurs involved. Also in on of the episodes the main hero guy got corrupted and wanted to bring the whole city down... anyone has any ideas?

It's a foreign animated movie from a while back (I think it might be Czech, but I'm not sure), and I believe it's about the history of the universe. Google and IM Db give me nothing. Any help?
