openGreen face on album cover Music
I distinctly remember seeing an album (or single, I guess) cover depicting a woman’s face with green skin and blue hair, along with a bunch of other facial oddities. I’d recognize it by sight..
resolved Obscure soundtrack Music
Anyone knows the score which plays in Alloy Arena
? I admit the music is harder to hear at times but this is the best I could find. I also heard the track in a different game but that one is NSFW, so I can't post links to it here - even if I still could find it. This stuff is rather old.
openObscure soundtracks in CS 1.6 maps Music
I remember two rather obscure soundtracks in custom made CS 1.6 maps. One plays in cs_futurcom from the radio in the kitchen
and the file is musa3.wav or something like that. The other one played in the theatre in de_chinatown (can't find any video though, at least not from 1.6).
Anyone knows these tracks?
openTechno song about "The Rave" Music
There is this song I first heard in 1999, (Though it could be older) with some samples where a man was warning people about it and some woman said "I had no idea what it really was", implying her kid went to a rave without her knowing or something.
resolved Paaaaraaaadise! Music
Can anyone make out what the song is this toy clown fish is singing?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mB-h6OBCdFk
I remember looking at and listening to this toy in a Cracker Barrel store nearly 20 years ago, but my mind has been stumped trying to identify this song. Unfortunately, the potato quality of this video doesn't really help, but even so, I remember the recording used for the fish was rather unintelligible anyway (as is usually the case with cheap talking/singing toys); I just know that the loop ended with that elongated and stretched out, "Paaaaaaraaaadise!"
openSeries of mystery albums Music
I remember reading about a series of Concept Albums telling mystery stories. I think the context was that a Great Detective had been murdered and posthumously called people to solve her murder. I remember seeing it compared to Umineko, and I'm pretty sure it is Japanese
openTechno Cover of "All By Myself" Music
One song I remember from my childhood was a Speedy Techno Remake of Eric Carmen's "All By Myself", however, searching terms like that on YouTube takes me to different things, and it's not listed on the trope page I cited. What was this?
openSong from a Nickelodeon promo Music
I was watching a compilation
of old Nickelodeon commercials, and the song in a summer promo ad caught my attention. I tried searching the lyrics I could make out, but I didn't find anything, and given the audio playing over it I probably can't use any music-identifying apps. The link provided should go straight to the part of the compilation that had the song, but just in case it doesn't work, here's the lyrics I could pick up:
- Blue jeans and trampolines are like-
- When you get too close to me, I don't know what to do / it's like boom, like boom, like boom
- It's all because of you
- My friends say I'm crazy / they all try to save me / but there's nothing they can do
openClassic rock song with a line like "put your hands all up in the air" Music
There's this classic rock song I'm trying to remember from the 70s or 80s (I think, might be 60s) with a line like "put your hands all up in the air" (or something similar to that, I just know it ends with "Up in the air") and a male singer. I thought it would be an open-shut case, but when I googled it, I couldn't find the song I was looking for, just some other songs with similar lyrics.
openHeavy metal music video Music
I remember years ago — in like the late-2000s/early-2010s — watching a Emergency Alert System mock wherein the video that got "interrupted" was this heavy metal music video. All I remember is that there was a shot of a cloaked guy wearing (I think) a top hat pulling some sleeping person's tongue out (in a comical, cartoon-like fashion, I don't remember there being any gore), and there was also shots of the band performing in a space that was lit in red and may have had some "dystopian"-type decorations around. The music being performed was either speed or thrash metal, and the vocals started with a typical metal scream (the rest of it was cut off for the simulated EAS activation).
Does anybody have a clue as to who it was?
Edited by DongwaChanresolved Upbeat version of "My Heart Will Go On" Music
It has the same words, but it's faster and more upbeat. It's sung by a black guy who does a falsetto vocalization near the end of the song, and there's a small band playing the instruments, and having a great time. I for the life of me CANNOT remember who did it, and I've looked it up with different keywords, but I can't find it. Can anyone help?
openCinematic traditional japanese music combined with electronics from early 00's. Music
Around a year ago, I listened to a song that I believe was part of a soundtrack for some sort of experimental video or video spectacle. It's hard to say. The song had traditional Japanese vocals sung by women (a choir, if I remember correctly). Overall, it had a very cinematic vibe to it. The title was probably a combination of Japanese and English letters. Similar artists: Geinoh Yamashirogumi, Susumu Hirasawa and this also very similar to Ghost in the Shell soundtrack.
resolved 80s music video with a broken bust Music
I can't remember the name of a song. 80s to early 90s. Dance track, and not a particularly obscure one either. Possibly black-and-white for drama. The music video opens with a plaster bust exploding on the floor.
Edited by CirceusopenSci-fi music video in the style of French comics Music
About a decade ago, a flatmate showed me a trippy music video for some instrumental electronica piece that looked a lot like French comics, particularly the work of Moebius. Like, pastel colors, bold lines, I think there was a contrast between angular, technical-looking structures (blue maybe?) and alien-looking plants. There may have been a shot of characters riding some kind of flying bikes over water as well.
openWhat is this song? Music
In the episode of Caddicarus on portable Crash Bandicoot games
, there is a bit just under 57 minutes in where he shows a Tony Hawk game on the Nokia N-Gage, and there's a Mondegreen Gag where he interprets the lyrics of the song playing as "PEE IN YOUR COUNTRY". Does anyone know what this song is, and what the actual lyrics are?
open"I Don't Know About You" Music
I heard a song in the store today that really caught my ears. I couldn't hear the lyrics particularly well due to the other store ambience, but I could make out the refrain of the song that was, "No, I don't know about you."
It's NOT Chris Lane's song of the same name, I just listened to that song on YouTube to see for myself if it was the same song, but it wasn't. His is definitely a country song, the song I heard sounded more like a very late 1960s/early-to-mid 1970s soft rock song. I've tried Googling, but all the results I turn up point me back to Chris Lane's song.
resolved Lightning strike music video Music
I found a bunch of gifs clipped from a music video that I suspect is from around late 1980s/early 1990s.
It appears to be a guy with long hair and a red bandana, playing an orange V-shaped guitar, on top of a skyscraper at "night" and a specisl effects lightning strike comes down behind him.
I found the gifs on Whats App under "fall down hole" but I couldn't find anything searching just that. Any thoughts?
openWhat tune is this? Music
I would like help identifying a tune which I believe have heard multiple times, but which provides the tune of the song in this video
.

Hey, I'd been looking for this for a very long time. Basically, it's this song that, for whatever reason, sounds like it could be strongly associated with a carnival/fairground. It also evoked especially strong feelings of nostalgia, it might be related to a soundtrack of some sort though I'm not sure. I don't know if was a song traditionally/historically played in real life carnivals/fairgrounds but may've simply been themed around one. In my opinion at least, it was also a notably good song. I heard it in ~2008, in a vid related to someones wowTCG loot demonstration. Any help with finding this would be much appreciated as I've never been able to find it anywhere on the internet outside of that vid (now deleted/privated).
I also have a recreation of what I believe it sounded like, but since it's been 15+ years since I've heard it unfortunately it might not even sound like it whatsoever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMPqrLJgmyE
.
Thank you
