In the music video, a little boy and a little girl, most likely siblings, find their house empty, and the rest of their street without people. There's no sadness. (I may be wrong), but I think a relatively happy song plays over this.
They strap on backpacks and go on an adventure that involves a lot of traveling. Eventually they meet up with other children in a magical forest. There are all these colourful things floating around, and they even meet these friendly monsters. They never find their parents, but there may have been bubbles at some point.
First saw it on youtube. (Any ideas at all? thanks)

This is going to be a very strange and probably hard YKTSW
When I was very young, we had a group of Zimbabwean vocalists perform some traditional folk songs at our school, while I have forgotton the others over time. This one song just won't leave my head no matter how hard I try and I would like to find the name of this traditional tune. From what I remember of the song, a part of the chorus sounded like "e/i za-mbe, ze-mbe Zim-ba-bwe" and another part resembled "vaati-vaati-vaati vula Zim-ba-bwe".
Could any of you help me name this African folk song?

Looking for a non-stage, recorded version of "drunken sailor" that's got a section sounding almost exactly like this one 1 minute in:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcD9eDN_fk4
Sounded lower, deeper and a bit heavier in my memory. If someone could please tell me the name of the other group? thanks in advance.

When I was a kid, either the late 80s or early 90s, I remember seeing on TV a music video for the song "The Loco-Motion," that I can't seem to track down. It wasn't the Kylie Minogue video. The only thing about it I remember is that the singer and a few kids were dancing around an actual locomotive, and while they were generally enjoying themselves, there was a goofy-looking train engineer trying to get them to stop dancing and singing. The engineer was wearing the typical overalls and striped hat, and had fake buck teeth, and I think he had horn-rimmed glasses. At the end of the video, the kids end up tying him to the pilot of the train. That's all I can recall.

A song I heard on a Jazz station that didn't feeling like giving me the title. Even checked the radio's website, nothing. It was a very jazzy song, I remember the lyrics "dream away, fly away, falling." And "Dream away, fly away with me," Can't find them anywhere. The voice was likely a black guy singing, and often in a smooth falsetto. I don't remember much more, it was a very generic jazzy melody. But it was good.

A song I heard on an alternative rock station in 2005 or 2006. Female singer and the style was similar to the Go-Go's. Very catchy and up-tempo. The lyrics in the chorus was like "Find a way before it gets too late". Googled lyrics, no luck. I live in the San Diego area and heard the song on FM 9.49 if that's any help.

This sounds really random, obscure, and complicated, but here it goes: In June 2006 I was at Girl Scout camp and we were at a campfire listening to a woman singing Girl Scout songs, this included the regular ones, to ones the leader had never heard of. There was this one she had never heard before that I remember really liking. It was about a girl who had a really long, weird name, I think it described her as being really weird looking maybe. Does anyone know any possibilities? Thanks.

Looking for the title of the musical piece that plays for the first three minutes in this video
. I realize it’s some sort of audio library music, wondering if anyone knew the composer, title and source album. Incidentally, I do know the piece playing for the rest of the video is “Rydeen” by Yellow Magic Orchestra (not library music).

A song possibly from the 80s, but no later than mid 90s where near the end of the song or in the song's finale, there is a whole (male?) chorus singing la la-la la la or na na-na na na in a slow-ish tempo. I don't remember anything about the song itself, other than it might have been a male singer and the aforementioned na-nas. It's not Hey Jude or Centerfold.
in abc notation
it looks like this:
X:1
M:4/4
K:G
c2BGA2D2 | zc BGA2D2 | c2BGA2G2 | A2G2c2A2 |
Copy the above into here
to see in sheet music form. The tempo of the resulting midi file plays is a tad too fast for this song.
I'm sure that's how it goes, I know the first two measures are right. Although i'm not sure about the key, but I'm certain of the rhythm, and the relative changes in pitch between notes.
Edit: Sorry, it came to my attention that wiki format botched the abc format, fixed now. :)

Mid-to-late 1980s hiphop song. The only line I can remember is "Take it from the top" or possibly "take it to the top". Male voice. American accent, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. There was a brass section in it with a more big band or swing sound.
It's possible that it was also from the early 90s. I remember hearing it in college and a little after — 1992 -1997.
I heard it on the college radio station and on a compilation CD of some kind of "roots of rap". I can't remember the exact name of the CD and I haven't seen or heard the CD since about 1997.

Song from the mid 1980s. I thought it was "Come On Eileen" or "Celtic Soul Brothers" by Dexys Midnight Runners, but having just seen those, I'm wrong. (Unless there's more than one version of the music videos?) The band in question are all scruffy lower class people like DMR presented themselves as in their "Eileen" period.
The video starts with the singer/main character in a small restaurant/diner having a meal. He sees a friend out the window and leaves, non-verbally telling the owner/waitress that he'll be back shortly to pay for his meal and leaving a package to demonstrate his commitment to coming back. He goes away and has a grand ol' time, and singing whatever song it is. We occasionally cut back to the diner where the waitress is getting concerned. Late that night, at more or less the end of the video, the waitress opens up the package to find it's just some old newspaper (or something), he never planned to come back!
I know this sounds kinda like A Ha's "Take On Me" but it isn't that.

There's this song that keeps playing at work. Some of the lyrics are:
Before we knew the tree
Before we lost it all
It was all (some word I can't understand whenever the song plays)
And the word that comes after the last "all" I have no idea what it is. It's two syllables and I'm pretty sure it starts with E, and it could be "Eden" or "easy". It's really hard to tell. Usually I just write down the lyrics and google them, but I tried that and I'm not getting any of the right hits. I might be doing something wrong.

A classic rock or possible R&B song that may be from the 70s. I have no lyrics to go by but there's a saxophone in it that goes "dit-dit-dit ditty ditty diiiih". Very uptempo song and I've heard it in a fast food restaurant and a bookstore but couldn't make out the lyrics to write them down. It is not Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty. Nor is it that Electric Aunt Jemima song by Frank Zappa. Dit dit dit ditty ditty diiih is the tune the saxophone makes in the song, not the vocalist. I doubt its Huey Lewis And The News cause I'm familiar with most of their hit songs.

This one song I heard a long time ago. A bit slow and jazzy and the lyrics are something like "Oh yeah, we must never ever touch". Phil Collins may have done the song, I remember my mom or someone making a comment about Phil Collins when it came on the radio. Google isn't helping.

Can anyone identify the music playing this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0uNezrojCw
Someone asked the question in a comment about a year back, but it looks like nobody ever responded.

Here's a song that's been stuck in my head since I first heard it as one of the songs they used to play at Toys R Us. It's a children's song that had the line "If we make a mistake, we can try to create something different and totally new!" as part of the chorus. I also think that the song also mentioned cookies. What is the name of this song, and where can I find it? It was really catchy, too!
