open(SOLVED) Girl goes as boy for a school band Film
Something way earlier than Shes The Man (think 80s or early 90s) about a girl who pulls a Sweet Polly Oliver to play in a school band.
I remember her guy name being "Marco" (at least, in the French dub, but I don't think a Dub Name Change happened there) and being outed during the concert because she had hastily put the boy clothes above her girl clothes and the skirt started showing.
The boy clothes may or may not be a denim pants and jackets, while the skirt was very girly pink.

I have been trying to remember this for years. I originally saw it (probably more than once) on the Disney Channel back in the early to mid-nineties.
There is this apartment building, where all of our main characters live. The only ones I remember are a large black guy that lives in the basement, possibly a tinkering maintenance man, and an elderly white man and his wife, who has Alzheimer's. The building is being threatened by a gangster or unscrupulous business man of some sort, who is trying to scare the tenants out. One of the mooks, who had a greasy ponytail, is constantly referred to as "Bobby" by the old lady, who thinks he is their son who died in a car crash years before. This always pisses the mook off...and kind of creeps him out.
The building is in disrepair and it looks like they are going to lose it, but little alien discs come to stay somehow and it turns out that they fix things and they set about making the building look new and giving everyone hope again. There is a fire caused by the bad guy towards the end and the one mook is taken aback by him doing it while people are still inside. He helps to rescue the old man and lady, showing up at her hospital room at the end with his arm in a sling and donuts. The old lady promptly calls him "Bobby" and the husband chides her about it, but the mook says that it's okay if she does.
You can tell what sub-plot stuck with me the most. Any ideas what the title is?

Okay, I have two films whose names I can't recall for the life of me and they've been bugging me for years now...
The first, I'm 99% sure, was a Disney movie (early 90's?). It was about a boy who was around ten years old and had a motorcycle with a mind of its own. The only scene I remember from the movie was the boy riding his motorcycle out of a large window, shattering the glass everywhere. Also, I want to think that everyone in town hated his motorcycle and wanted to destroy it.
The second was also probably a made-for-TV movie (a children's movie— think late 80's/early 90's). I only remember a giant chasing after someone (a little boy?); that someone was in a house and the giant was looking in through the window. The someone threw something like a clay sculpture out the window and into the giant's mouth.

This is seriously bugging me.
I watched a Godzilla movie on TCM a few years ago, but I only caught the first half. It began with this rather chubby kid going to school, and he ended up at a construction zone for some reason. Then, for some reason, the kid was on an island and Godzilla was fighting this thing that kept making a noise like an engine turning over.
What's the name of this movie?

Hi, forty plus years ago I caught a black & white film on TV, the ending of which involved the creepy appearance of a man playing a violin on a staircase. He may have been the character of a presumed-dead brother. Anyway, before I die I'd love to know the name of that film! Thank you, Timon.

I once heard of director who filmed a trailer with lots of weird effects (none digital; it was like 30, 40 years ago) like creatures coming out of people's faces, bubbling metamorphoses, and other things, but the movie had absolutely NONE of that in it, and the trailer was made to make sure people went to see it.

There was a movie airing on TV a few months ago, it looked like something from the 1960's, full-color, but they had the accents and cars, as well as film quality appropriate to that era. It was probably a horror or a thriller, and it had some sort of boat or submarine crew, and... that's about it. I think there might have been a monster, but I am not 100% on that.

Alright, guys. Now, I've not actually seen this, so I'm not going to be much help here; this thing might not ever have existed. But I'm fairly certain I remember reading about it, so let's give this a shot.
Short film, probably American. About a person who wakes up after a one night stand to discover that an alien invasion happened while they were asleep, or is happening now, or similar.

Shown on Channel 5 in the UK maybe a year or so ago. Probably made mid 70's to mid to late 80's. It's a James Bond spoof comedy. Only saw it from half way through though. The main character is storming the villains compound, as a makeshift weapon he takes off his belt and gets it cold under a waterfall and attacks guards in red jumpsuits with it like a sword.
I believe the name was Un/Im*ables. Searched on imdb but didn't find anything.

What was that movie on Sci-fi where Central Park was full of slime, the protagonist got possessed by an Egyptian god (Sokar, I think), who than raped some alien chick whose tears permanantly stained skin blue? Also there was a shark made out of slime, and all the cars hung down from electric rails hanging down from above.
Also the mayor of New York was in CGI, and there was some sort of sentient slime mold in the protagonists bathtub that could use a revolver. It shot the shark but it didn't do much. The cops had gatling guns on their "cars", and...
The only thing I can remember is the alien girl gets amnesia for some reason and it ends with the protagonist meeting her at the Eiffel Tower where she has a hybrid child.

Sci Fi, probably around 1980-1990 (but not after, and probably not before). Similar to Pandorum in some regards... basically you've got a spaceship full of people who end up killing each other (rather than killed by mutants) as they slowly go insane (or the ship computer might have been involved, i'm not entirely certain). there was a virtual reality thing the crew members had which could also be used for virtual sex. (or only for virtual sex?) one of the guys gets killed in the virtual reality sex program. there was some female nudity here which is probably why i remember it... Anyway, there's like 2 of them left at the end and they open the outer hatch thinking to commit suicide and they find out they are not in space, but on earth (or some crappy deserted planet of some sort). ironically, they talked another crew member into NOT opening the hatch early in the film.

An Arabian-themed fantasy film, no more recent than the 90s.
The Big Bad was some sort of supernatural being named Calypso (possibly Calypto?). At the end of the movie, the heroes trap him inside a mirror, but then it turns out that it didn't work (I think he traps the heroes inside the mirror instead) and so the The Bad Guy Wins.
The hero is a teenager whose mother is missing in the real world, but he later finds her in the "Arabian" world -she turns out to be the queen of a group of man-eating women. She assures him she's very proud of him.
Around the middle of the movie, there's a philosophical contemplation about the desert being a sea of sand, where a mentor figure compares the hero to Simbad.
An old man (possibly the hero's grandfather) is reading the story of the movie in a book, back in the real world. I think there was a close-up of his terrified face when he read the ending.
And maybe I'm thinking of another movie, but just before Calypso breaks free, when the heroes (the boy and his love interest) think they had defeated him, one of them asks "To China?" and the other answers "To China", when contemplating what to do now that they had saved the world.
I still remember the music that first plays when the ending credits roll and I could totally tell if that was the one from this movie if I heard it again now, if that helps.

A video I remember watching when I was little about two bears (I think) who wanted to go to Panama because they thought everything there smelled like bananas. They put up a signpost that said PANAMA and followed it, and eventually got back to their house, saw the sign, and thought they had reached Panama.

theres a film made in 1988. it was noticably hitchcockian but i dont think he made it. The plot basically involved a woman with a blonde perm cheating on her husband who slept with a guy she had sortof followed around an art gallery. That man turned out to have some sort of STI, then she gets murdered after sleeping with a psychiatrist. Then the film focuses on another woman who the psychiatrist was also after. this 2nd woman and the 1st woman's teenage son (who looks a bit like Daniel Radcliffe) are the main protagonists. Also, the psychiatrist, who was also the killer, killed women he slept with because he had a split personality, the other of which was female who resented the other personality or something. One thing i really remember was that there was a lot of beige (right down to the 1st woman's underwear which she leaves in a taxi) I remember most of the film but i have no idea as to the name

The details on this are really hazy, but I'll see if anyone knows what I'm talking about...There was a woman who was involved with some sort of group of bad guys, whether it was a gang or a cult or something I don't remember, and she was considering leaving it. Then one day she went to pick her kids up from school and the teacher said that her friend had already gotten them. She ran home and one of the bad guys was there with her kids. He hadn't hurt them, but he just wanted to prove to her that he could do something to her kids if he wanted to, to threaten her into staying.

This movie takes place in africa and the bad guys are elephant poachers. The main characters are: a teen boy who is new to the area and used to a modern society, a teen girl who is not a native but knows the land, and a teen native boy who is her friend. By a cocidence the three of them are away from home when a group of poachers burn down their house and now the teens must pass through a desert and survive the elements to alert the rangers or something.
Can anyone tell me the title?

There is this movie where a girl adopts a Sweet Polly Oliver act so she could pretend to be her brother at a college so she could be a soccer player and he could play an instrument.
I think it is a comedy, and the movie is PG-13.
