I've been trying to figure out which anime these two
◊ are from. I know literally nothing that could help me identify it, and searching stuff like "anime boy white hair red eyes" and "anime girl brown ahoge" just gets me edgy/sexy pictures. Please help!
open[SOLVED] Anime About Girl Who Can Grant Miracles Anime
This is now solved thanks to a troper who helped identify this as Someday's Dreamers, and I appreciate all who helped!
My family and I had this cd(?) of an anime with several episodes, maybe a season, when I was younger that for the life of me I cannot remember what it's called.
Here's what I remember the clearest:
The artstyle makes me think it was made after the 80's. I watched it as a child in the late 2000's, so it could have been made anytime from 1990's to before 2010? Setting-wise, I can't remember anything that would date the movie but what I do remember is that it was set in the city
The main character was a brunette young adult/older teenager who was able to "grant wishes", so she can make things others wish for come true. I put that in quotation marks because I'm not sure if that was how the anime worded it, but it's the closest I can describe it.
She befriends an older man with black hair and glasses(?) who knows of her gift and may or may not have magical abilities as well. He has a tragic backstory in which he has a Lost Lenore who died in a car accident
The overall tone of the anime was melancholic — the intro (something I remember the tune to, but obviously can't recreate to share here) had sad piano to it and many shots of characters introspective and emoting little
There was this third character of a woman with short, blonde hair and might have been cold and stoic?
I can't distinguish whether or not these were different episodes but here's what I remember in-show:
One of the first episodes featured the Main character granting a guy friend a bunch of snack bars, and since they start magically sprouting from his vest/coat, the friend reacts negatively (I'm also assuming he was being exaggerative and she didn't know better?)
One episode had her go to a club but the girl is disoriented and confused as to her surroundings?
I clearly remember a scene where the girl grabs a floating balloon from the grasps of a young boy next to his mother. But when the girl gives it back to the boy, the balloon suddenly pops and he cries. The mother then demands the girl to make her son feel better and then says something along the lines of "can't you grant wishes??"
There's this one scene where the girl is caught in the rain in a park (?) so she hides under something and finds a cat (that I think I remember being able to talk but I doubt that?)
In an episode, there's a flashback to how the guy lost his wife, which she felt cold so he (the driver) took off his jacket and gave it to her, while still driving. Another vehicle hit them in his moment of recklessness, and he cradles her in the middle of the street as she's dying/dead. I remember snowflakes falling afterwards and I think it has to do with his powers, but I could be wrong
Anyways I remember some things but none of my searches for this one specific anime had been successful in identifying it
Edited by LemonySnippetopenShort Anime About Machines Trying To Escape A Junkyard (SOLVED) Anime
So, a friend mentioned a short film she once saw on Netflix but couldn't remember the title of. Here's what they told me about it:
"There was a short film on Netflix and I can't remember the title But there were living appliances in a junkyard and a TV was trying to escape the junkyard I think. It was an old wooden black and white TV and eventually someone took it and turned it into a chicken coop. Might sound like [hard-to-explain reference removed] but the TV was still alive on there. I also know it was a Japanese animation"

When I was a young teen I was on holiday in Rome and I caught an episode of an anime series in the hotel my family was staying at. In it the crew of a ship are making a voyage towards a far away planet that two of the characters seem to worship or just hold sacred, because they both clasped their hands and knelt at it.
The episode ended with the crew falling unconscious during the journey with what was presumably a ominous voice over (It was either subbed or dubbed into Italian but either way I didn't understand it) playing over shots of their unconscious bodies and the planet.
Any of this sound familiar to anyone?
openA film where cartoons and anime collide Anime
Hi I'm looking for a *Canadian* film where a bunch of anime characters appeared at a Canadian high school on a space ship, I think the main character was prince. This was released somewhere between 2004-2015. Thanks if you can find it!
openAnime/cartoon about a Tall Main character who’s a badass Anime
There was this anime/cartoon my mom had playing on the tv years back and i can’t remember the name of the show. All i can remember was the MC was this tall woman who wore dark sunglasses and was a badass. I remember one scene tho, the MC stabbed some guy with a knife against a wall outside of what looked like a political building. The guy slowly drooped down the wall bleeding from the neck, slowly dying.
resolved Anime with a girl fighting two colorful monsters Anime
When I was younger, I watched part of a scene from an anime randomly on TV, but I never learned what the name was because it was a random scene. There was a girl who saw another girl with her parents. The first girl was then chased by then couple, and all of a sudden, these slimes emerge from the mom and the dad that form into two demon monsters with long claws (one red and one blue), which caused the parents to collapse; apparently they were being possessed by the monsters. The girl fights these monsters, but then the monsters embrace and fuse into a larger purple monster. So the girl fights this thing with magic or something and destroys it, and this causes the girl and her parents to wake up all better. I tried to search for it, but I couldn't find it. What is this anime?
Edited by SilvershadeWolfopenA Amine that showed on kids TV Anime
It was an amine style show that showed on a kid's channel in about 2010s. I only remember fragments such as starting in a high school, flying roundish buildings that had flying craft in them that I think was raced, a part where an evil power was released and turned the world to the desert with ruins including the flying buildings falling apart, an old man with a staff with a glowing yellow orb on the end that went out when he died and ab man going into a glowing ball of light turning him into a being with glowing hands who restores the world, making the desert turn into plains.
openNo Title Anime
Basically It was an anime I use to watch where a female character always get slapstick violence. The only specific scene I remember it was when she bite her tongue by accident and start to comically throbbing. She had brown hair and was a student. The animation was something like little witch academia.
openTongue trauma Anime
Basically It was an anime I use to watch about a slice of life of group of girls where the leader female character always get slapstick violence. The only specific scene I remember that happen exactly it was one where she bite her tongue by accident and start to comically throbbing(something like what happen to Gotenks in one episode) maybe because some tongue twister or hot/spicy drink/food. She had brown hair and was a student who use to be not so smart or something like that. The animation was something like little witch academia(cartoony sometimes, exgagereted expressions, adrenaline and painfully slapstick) but it's not the same anime. Nope, it is not nichijou or the other anime who looks like Nichihou but with red uniform. Another thing I remember is that it may be old, like one of those 90/80 animes, so probably it is not so remembered.
openFantasy Anime (movie?) with a woman soldier and Les Yay Anime
It was basically an action animated movie, dunno if it was one OAV or if my younger self just doesn't remember well enough, but the country seemed in a war and there was a festival going on.
The heroes were a young woman in glasses and her dark-haired friend, and there's a scene where they speak of the glasses girl's bookmark, something about "if you hold it close to your chest, you'll never be sick" and if done differently, "you'll find true love", with the dark-haired girl responding bluntly.
Later, some guy wearing a white traditional outfit (I cannot describe well) with a golden top on his head comes destroying the city, in search for the book that glasses-girl has. After much destroying around town, he manages to obtain it while she's terrified. He was able to open the sea in half (unless it was just a lake or a flooded part of town). He died when an old man threw a stick through his head.
He also had an ally, a child with a lisp who could control bugs (telling a fly to warn the man, then retrieving the book while riding on a giant bug before flying off).
Glasses-girl's friend was apparently a soldier in this war, and she was attacked several times by the man but put a hell of a fight. She's later in a hospital bed, with the bookmark her friend gave her.
Last scene I remember, glasses-girl and her friend were watching TV in a plane guarded by military when there was word that the dark-haired friend was actually a spy/double agent. Glasses girl was terrified, then her friend kissed her, leaving a lipstick mark on her neck, before jumping off the plane.
And that's all I can remember.
Edited by Ungrateful-WolfopenAnime? From Youtube? a bit RR Anime
So there was this anime I saw a long time ago on You Tube so I have little details but hopefully someone can recognize it. So anyways it’s an anime about this school with rich guys who need help to graduate so what they do is they take, I think, underclassmen (girls mostly or only) and they pay for their tuition but those ppl who they are paying for have to do everything in their power in order to help them to pass. So the main character is a girl who is like kinda strong headed ya know but she really needs to go to school so she “bows down” to this guy who is paying for her but he’s like a pervert so they kinda end up having a love hate relationship. I never finished it but the guy would like tease her but stopped whenever it was too far and saw how much she was hurting so I feel like in the end they kind of fell in love with each other idk. Like this one scene I think he was telling her he needed to pass art by drawing something and he wanted to draw someone naked and that person had to be her since she was supposed to help him pass. She said no and walked away but then he was saying to her how she would be kicked out if she didn’t do it to help him pass so after a while she gave in and was about to strip but then he got up and walked out and I think told her to stop or something to that effect. So that’s what I mean by he pushed her buttons extremely far but then stopped when she was actually at her breaking point where she would just almost give up everything. Anyways hopefully someone can determine what this anime was. I really wanna know what it was cuz it keeps popping into my head at random times and it’s killing me to not remember what it was.
openThis thing Anime
So, while I was browsing the web I *also* came across THIS: "There is literally a romance hentai where the girl's love interests are a blanket and a table." Anyone know what they're talking about?
openThis anime in which Hatsune Miku shows up in Anime
Does anyone know what specific anime is this? All I know about it is that it's got trains involved in the plot and the clip that I'm seeing has Hatsune Miku (i am not kidding) as an actual character in it.
resolved Slice of Life Child Star Anime? Anime
When I was younger I was watching this show but I can't remember it's name. Here's what I remember about it.
- It's main female lead was a young girl, middle school age I wanna say. Generally upbeat and nice. I think she was an actress of some sort? I do know the main hook of the show was that she was a child star of some sort. - The male lead was around the same age. He was surprising edgy up to and including self harming which the female lead found out about early-ish in the series. I forget why he was doing that. - There was a tiny car featured either in the opening and/or in transition scenes. I think it was orange? - I think the female lead had a large family who generally were used for comedy? - The show had to have been released before 2016, I suspect it was released during the 2000s but am not certain on that. - I think it was also a very long series, 50+ episodes. - It might have been based off of a manga
openA particular scene from a particular Pokémon movie. Anime
This spans many years ago, when I was deeply into my Pokemon phase. As a kid, I'd constantly keep up to date with all of the anime episodes and specials, making sure I got home from school just at the right time so I didn't miss one second. This hasn't changed much as I am still a big fan of the series.
Anyway, I remember in one of the movies, there was this scene in particular that always stuck with me. I believe it had something to do with Ash's Pikachu not being able to use any electric type attacks after being hit by..something? Not wasn't sure if another pokemon had volt absorb, or lightning rod, but he wasn't able to fire off his signature thunderbolt. As a lover of electric type Pokemon, I remember this bothering me a little bit. Later on, I recall Ash having to train him again or something of the sort because Pikachu completely forgot or simply didn't possess the ability to use electric type attacks. Another thing I remember is that his powers suddenly came back, and Ash prompting Pikachu to use volt tackle on him while his mom was appalled at the 10 year old's reckless nature.
Leading up to the scene, I remember someone telling Ash that Pikachu were rare in the area they travelled in, and his mom commenting that he (Pika) had been sparking alot
That's all I remember, though my memory could be off (pokemon movies are wild). I don't have time to rewatch the movies in search, and I haven't been able to find anything online. I do know, however, that it was a fairly recent movie (maybe after black and white).
Thanks!
Edited by RehydratedFortuneopenAnime About Election, or Politics or Something Like That Anime
I don't remember much about the anime.
In fact, I only saw the ads for it on Animax a few years ago. The female protagonist (I think) in the ad said something about elections (What the Fractured Utilities of Charismatic Knuckles?) or mildly similar topics like votes or something.
openAnime from a scene (Solved) Anime
It was from a video clip from Instagram that I cannot find currently. The scene has a guy (the protagonist I assume) entering a toilet where he finds a bigger, more muscular friend beaten out by someone. He's then attacked by the one who beat up said friend, who I recall as a Chinese Anime Girl with unusually plump lips(as if she's costantly puckering them) who tries to kick the protagonist several times, only for him to dodge every kick almost effortlessly. After a while she's called away by someone else and, after taking note on how "strong" the protagonist was for dodging all her kicks, she kiss him before leaving.
I know is very vague, but does this ring anyone's bell?
Edited by MukademaohopenWeird Action-Comedy Anime from the [=Mid-90s=] Anime
I've been trying to look for this anime I remember watching one episode of a couple of years ago.
It was this fantasy action-comedy series from the mid-90s (1996 IIRC) and it had an English dub, which was the version I remember watching. The protagonist was this selfish dude with long blonde hair who wore a black tank top and a red bandanna around his head.
As for the plot of the episode I watched, the protagonist decides to go rescue a kidnapped princess so that he can use the reward money offered to pay his rent. The protagonist runs into a blue genie who offers to make him rich and famous if he lets the genie join him on his adventure. The protag doubts the genie's powers, and the genie responds by... turning himself into a big-breasted anime girl, which somehow convinces the protagonist that the genie is legit.
Does anyone remember what this show is called? If it helps, I came across this anime during early quarantine on an anime streaming channel on my Roku box (it could've been RetroCrush, but I checked through their entire lineup and couldn't find anything similar to this; for all I know it could've been taken off their service in the two years it's been since I've seen it).

Around +5 years ago, I stumbled upon this movie and to this day I still remember it.
I just managed to watch one scene, the movie was obviously nearing the end when I found it: A boy was holding onto his friend's hand for dear life, hanging off a cliff while everything seemed to burn around them. This friend was most likely a Humanoid Robot girl in the middle of a What Measure Is A Non-Human? kind of identity crisis. at some point of the conversation, the boy says "It's me. It's Kenichi.", to which the girl eventually answers "Who am I?" (oddly enough, it was in subbed japanese instead of dubbed Spanish, so I remember her way of phrasing the question was rather simplistic. "Watashi wa dare?", which, for me, would imply that she either struggled with grammatical or human identity concepts, or she learned to talk throughout the movie.)
Then she let go, Kenichi fell, and some other characters swooped in to save him at the last second, flying on some kind of steampunk flying machine. Everything in the aesthetic screamed Steampunk. I can't, for the life of me, remember the name. Does anyone know this film?
(also, the girl may or may not have had some memory issues at the time this scene took place, because when Kenichi said "it's me", he used "boku" instead of "Watashi", which prompted a small flashback where she remembers Kenichi explaining that boys use "boku" and girls should use "Watashi" instead, which lead to the question i mentioned before)
