open A Point and Click horror game Videogame
The game is similar to The House franchise by Sinthai Studio, a point and click with lots of jump scares, though I can only (vaguely) remember the first and last level.
The first level begin in a forest where you find a newspaper concerning about a murder victim, not long after that the victim's ghost appeared to scare you.
The last level presents you with two choices; going left or right. Choosing the left will make you ended up apparently crucified in hell, while the right will make return to the first level, now at daylight and the good ending.
openGame where you fix a broken mirror/glass? Videogame
I think this was a Big Fish or Wild Tangent game? All I remember is a white haired girl and trying to fix a broken mirror/glass where you had to move rope where they didn’t cross over each other? The girl was like cursed or something? It may have had an anime style.
Edited by SteampunkeropenOnline Cartoon Short - two animals (mice?) being rude Web Original
I remember a series of funny online cartoon shorts from circa 2009-2011 that focused on two animals (two mice: one small and one bigger) who were 'rude' (in the sense of NSFW language and degrading to each other). It wasn't Pinky and the Brain or anything else mainstream. It could have been a standalone show based just on these two, or part of a wider show that also had different characters. Production quality was relatively high and I seem to remember Australian accents for some reason.
I remember two episodes specifically where things take a turn for the worse: one where they are in a living room and it gets trashed, and the other where they are in a car (maybe a driving lesson or something like that?) and that also doesn't go so well for them.
I have searched for years (albeit sporadically) but return no results. Would love to solve this mystery!
openEducational show for kids Live Action TV
EDIT: Nevermind. Literally 5 minutes later I somehow find the show despite not being able to find it earlier. The show is "Finding Stuff Out".
I recall seeing this educational live-action children's show a long time ago, most probably on Nickelodeon but I'm not completely sure. It starred a boy - tween or maybe teen - who had episodes on certain topics and sometimes another person (either guest stars or recurring people) and I believe it also had songs/raps. For instance I recall there being an episode discussing animal tails with an older male person accompanying this boy, and what I remember in particular is some kids playing a game where they or someone else try to catch them by the tails to (dis)prove a hypothesis of why some animals have a shorter or no tail, and an ending where the boy and the other person walked away from the camera talking to each other with tails hanging from under their shirts. Another bit I remember is a song/rap about snakes (graphics from which also appeared in the show's intro, specifically two green snakes on either side) and a part where the boy rings the door bell as a prank and tries to run only to find a giant snake that then swallows him whole, presumably to punish him for the prank.

Edited by Dolaakalyannresolved Young adult novel "Who Killed [name]?" [SOLVED] Literature
There was a book on my Freshman year (2011) recommended reading list titled Who Killed [some name]? The story was that a nerdy boy asked out the title character, who was the most popular girl at their high school. She rejected him and then he read a note she wrote to her friend mocking him, prompting him to kill himself. The boy's brother comes into town for the funeral and buries her alive, leaving an air hole so he can talk to her.
Edited by rjd1922resolved Secret agent movie with x-ray glasses
I remember seeing a movie about a secret agent of some kind on TV. He had x-ray goggles and he briefly used them to look at girls in their underwear. However, the scientist/boss/whatever placed a sort of "parental restriction" on it so he couldn't look at people naked anymore.
resolved (FOUND) Comedy about a cop being reassigned to a rough neighborhood Film
HI. I'm looking for the title of this movie from 1990-2000 era. It was mostly comedy. It started with a cop, white guy, pulling over a rich guy for speeding (?) Rich guy gets out of his car and smash his own window. Scene cut to police department where rich guy used his connections to falsely accuse the cop of wrecking his car and threaten him. Cop gets reassigned to a dangerous neighborhood with mostly black and Latinos.
First day was a disaster for him: things are rough and violent and his new partner, black guy, doesn't give him any respect. Actually, no one does. Black officer dislike the cop's music and shoot his walkman(?) During a round-up in a house, poor cop get stripped of his clothes and thrown on the streets naked.
As the plot pick-up later, they're both working on a case and rich guy from the beginning is involved. Black officer get shot and sent to the hospital. It's up to the cop to arrest rich guy, which he succeed in the end, despite being injured from a car chase. Cop lie in a hospital bed to recuperate and listen to his tunes. The black officer next to him comes around and load his gun to shoot the cop's walkman.
Edited by Nevermore2002openSci-Fi short story Literature
Many years ago when I was an avid but chaotic reader of science fiction, I read a story about a sort of 'human evolution' that I don't recall in any other story/novel. I think it kicks off with a meteorite landing on earth. But that's the part I am not clear on. Anyway, a couple of men are exposed to something or other, I think from the meteorite, and they go through a transformation process. One well before the other, possibly due to the different times of exposure.
The first guy goes catatonic and becomes completely enclosed in a sort of crust/cocoon, and the doctors are taking samples from him and seeing all sorts of complex biochemistry going on. They start theorizing about what it means, but eventually (a few days I think) he just wakes up and seemingly returns to normal. The other guy is relieved as he is starting the same process.
The end of the story is what I really remember. The first guy says he can't remember anything of his time in the chrysalis/cocoon and he just wants a smoke. He takes his cigarette and goes for a walk. And once he's out in the open well away from everyone else he drops his cigarette and just 'rises into the sky', leaving earth.
That's what I remember, and now I have absolutely no clue who the author was or what the title was.
open"I'm So Excited" like an ad for oranges Music
I'm looking for a music video for "I'm So Excited" performed by somebody other than The Pointer Sisters. They were a trio of one Black man and two women. There were oranges everywhere: the male lead starts singing the second(?) verse with oranges in both hands; during one of the refrains the trio drags a billboard with oranges back and forth. I saw it several times over a period of several years in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
Edited by tkzvopenCartoon with bug(?) swallowing a dog whole. Western Animation
I remember an indie cartoon where a cartoon dog was swallowed whole by some sort of bug or something. I can't remember for the life of me what the title was (I have an impossible time remembering names as well as titles), do you know what the title of the cartoon might be? Searching on google, even an advanced search, comes up with nothing because the stupid site tries to get me to look at if it's safe for dogs to eat bugs.
openAsian woman and Gang invade house party then kidnap little girl who looks like the woman Film
I remember there was a movie my late father would watch, I think I've seen it twice or just once. The opening of the movie starts with a group of family just having a neat potluck or a house warming party (Just enjoying their time together), then outside comes a gang, only the front person there was an Asian woman (Either Japanese or Chinese Idk), She commands her posse to invade the house (which gruesomely involves everyone getting shot down, including a small child that desperately tries to wheel his grandmother away), then at one point the woman shoots the grandma (iconic yet horrifyingly, She shoots her through the head which blasts through her bun). Then They enter the room where a girl that looks like as if She's her daughter is then kidnapped, only one survivor, an Asian(?) man (I don't recall any of the characters names because the audio was low). He crawls away from the house because it got caught in an explosion, then there's this scene where the woman brain washes the little girl for reasons I don't know. Then there's a time skip(????) where ANOTHER woman that looks like the gang leader (I don't know if it's the little girl all grown up or the gang leader herself), She ends up having intercourse with a black guy then kills him in a pool. Then later a Japanese/Chinese boxer was boxing alone, then a chick (same woman from before btw) approaches him, the boxer thinks that's his wife (excusable, maybe He couldn't see her well in the dark), but he sees like dead bodies?? And realizes that's not her, so he fights her then ends up getting killed. There's a funeral for him held by his wife and two children, then a clan of people come in and proceed to disrespect it then slapped the widow for- well because They hate him, then there's this guy from nowhere that proceeded to kill the clan and then leave. There's a last scene from what I could remember, so the guy escaping (Memory's foggy) was like walking in an office space or something... That's all I could bring to the table, there's a reason why I had to explain the whole/half of the plot because I don't know if this is obscure media, I tried finding it before and I'm wondering if anybody in TV tropes might help...
openMovie Where Guys house gets flooded and he ends up in the Jungle Film
I saw this one movie on Facebook about a guy whose house gets caught in a flood and he ends up in the Jungle where he's chased up a tree by a tiger and then eaten by a snake. Does anyone know the name of the movie?
openFamiliar Melodies Music
I'm not looking for an actual song per se, but the "origins" of two melodies that I've heard in multiple places.
- The first one is an eight-note mini-melody that can be heard in A Hat in Time as She Came From Outer Space
, and in Storm Hawks as part of the main theme
.
- The second one is a short, six-note tune heard in Power Rangers as part of Go Go Power Rangers
, and Priceline's "No Way" ad as a ringtone
.
openSeal/Mermaids welcome family on boat to their cove/lagoon Western Animation
I only seen a trailer of this show on a rented VHS movie but I can't for the life of me recall what it is despite its vividness. A 2D animated cartoon where iirc kids and their parental guardian visit a cove/lagoon and meet colorful seal/mermaids that sing and dance, with some wearing outfits like hats, glasses, and mustaches. I think its animation style was around late 1990s-early 2000s and had crisp lines, solid colors. I think it has a "villain" of the same species as the cove/lagoon inhabitants which I think was purple and had "minions", but again I only seen the trailer so this part is just my interpretation from the trailer.
openNo title Film
There was a movie where a man and woman had a conversation that went something like this:
Him: Who's the greatest boxer of all time? Her: Tyson. Him: Mike Tyson. You think Mike Tyson could beat Muhammad Ali? Her: Yeah! Him: Mike Tyson couldn't even *spell* Muhammad Ali! Her: *Muhammad Ali* couldn't spell Muhammad Ali!
openThe villain kills all the heroes' team, but the last surviving hero appears and defeats the villain
A film where a team of heroes opposes evil, but the antagonist (be it because he is No-Nonsense Nemesis, Hero Killer, Pragmatic Villain and the like) kills almost all of them, and turns out to be close to victory. But then the last or last of the remaining fighters for justice appear and kill him.
Edited by GerbertopenNo Title Western Animation
Well, what I remember is that the movie was pretty similar to Skyland, because it happened in the future and characters lived on airships or floating islands, but it was a movie, not a series. The animation was also quite similar, but I'm pretty sure i saw this years before Skyland came out.
When it comes to the plot, I can recall that it centered on teenagers (around 14 years old) that were aboard a giant airship (maybe a zeppelin)that acted as some sort of military school, and, a scene that I remember pretty well consisted on the main character and his best friend being ordered to control some turrets and defend their base. The protagonist is really nervous but ends up doing perfect and even taking down a few enemy ships while his friend is killed in the attack. And, later on in the movie, the protagonist falls in love with a girl and everything goes well between them. He ends up turning into a pilot (to become a pilot was really important to those kids).
The rest I can't remember. I believe it had the word "Sky" on the title, but I'm not really sure. Any help would be really appreciated
Edited by luiscerdaopenMovie where the guy becomes a teenage (?) dad Film
I remember there's a movie where the guy who is probably a teenager had a one stand stand (I guess) with his friend for the first time who is female and wears glasses and they fight about something the next day after the one night stand. And then the glasses girl got pregnant (despite it was her first time) which cause problems for the guy and the love interest (who has long hair I guess). But I think it ends with a happy ending where the guy becomes a teenage dad soft of. The guy didn't end up with the glasses girl but I think they're in a good terms and he end ups with his love interest.
Btw, it's not Juno. And sorry it was a bit verge.
