openAirplane film with people wearing shirts that say "_______ bound" Film
I forgot most of the details as well.
The only scene I remember from it is this:
<some setup which I have forgotten>
Mechanic: "Time for me to do my job." (pulls out wrench)
Intercom: "Ladies and gentlemen, we're gonna have to deplane." Cue mass disappointment.
Edited by EclipseMTopenStop-motion animation about delivering a pizza pie Film
I'm looking for a stop motion animated film I watched when I was very young. My great grandmother had a collection of weird and obscure VHS so I'm hoping I can figure it out.
Pretty sure It featured a young black boy who was delivering a pizza or a pie for his mom. I was confused as a child because they kept saying "Pizza pie". Anyway, on the way to his destination he reaches a fork in the road and ends up going down the wrong path. He enters a house and strange stuff starts happening, objects are flying around, I think there might have been singing, and eventually the owner of the house appears and they seemed to be a witch or something? In the end I think the boy ran away.
The film might have been black and white, but I think it was more of a sepia tone look. I just remember feeling kind of scared because of the visuals, and the audio wasn't the best. Any ideas? I've been looking for ages!
Edited by KristophopenAnimated Christmas Movie Film
I am looking for an animated Christmas movie I saw a few years ago.
-It involved a greedy CEO who transformed into a beast every year. he had a golden cane with a Christmas tree on the top. -There was a deer that turned into a fairy when a little girl put a pair of glasses on her. -There was a narrator who did most of the speaking. -It was centered around an enormous store that sold everything including live deer in boxes as Christmas presents -the CEO and the fairy had a business arrangement and fell in love but the CEO in an effort to show how much he loved her cut down their special tree and was cursed because of it
openSeveral obscure B-Movies Film
A French YouTuber named Durendal asked his audience to help him find some obscure B-Movies he saw once in his childhood and would like to use in his Video Review Show Le Cinéma De Durenda
. So if anyone of you tropers knows one of the following movie based on his blurry memories that would be great! You could even directly tweet him the name of the movie, he put an #EngineeredHashtag for each of them.
- #LCDDLeprauchaun: A Horror Film with a leprauchaun/goblin, which include your usual Dwindling Party of teenagers, colorful Environmental Symbolism, a female Afro Asskicker hunting the creature who died while reloading her gun in a haystack, the leprechaun literally going through her stomach Alien-style. Oh, and also the creature takes a giant piss in the heroes' car. (Is it one of the Leprechaun movies?)
- FOUND: Funny Man
- #LCDDFIGE: A young Bare-Fisted Monk who fights some kind of zombies or possessed (I think it might be Chinese Vampires) with a Magical Gesture while screaming "FREEZE!" ("FIGE!" in the French dub) and the monsters stand still.
- FOUND: A Chinese Ghost Story 2
- #LCDDMeurtreAuPetitDej: Some kind of Renaissance aristocrat goes outside to take his breakfast after a night of love and is suddenly killed by a weird drill contraption in the stomach. This one is weeeeeird and even Durendal is not positively sure he didn't make this one up in his damaged brain.
openConfirm father's death Film
I saw this movie a few years ago where a girl's father had left her when she was a child, but for some reason, she and her aunt needed to confirm that he was dead, so they found his body in a lake and cut his hands off to identify the body. I know I'm leaving out a lot of details, but I really can't remember anything else. Please tell me this rings a bell!
openName of old animated show or movie? Film
This may be a very vague description, but here it goes.
Trying to remember an older animated TV show or animated movie. There is only one distinct part that I can remember. I'm pretty sure it was narrated too.
There was a scene where a character was either outside or looking outside, it was lightning and he was really scared. His mother told him to get back inside. There is also a scary tree in the scene. I'm not sure what kind of characters the mom and son were. Maybe bears? It was not Rock-A-Doodle.
openHat. Off! Hat. Off! Film
It's either a comedic TV show or movie where Character A emphatically, but almost as if they're whispering/mouthing, tells Character B, "Hat. Off! Hat. Off!", as Character A motions/points for Character B to take their hat off.
Edit: 95% sure it's from this decade.
Can't remember much else, lol. Really getting me.
Edited by jmC3POopenTV show with fairies...? Film
So, this show that is like a group of girls and boys that are like fairies with powers or something that I had on VHS in the early 2000s. I can't find anything even close to it.
openCurious about the name of a horror movie Film
So I'm suddenly morbidly curious about a movie I remember watching a scene from at a party a long time ago. I think it was a B-grade horror movie of some sort. All I remember in the scene is that a guy is on the phone with another person and stops the conversation in order to calmly and seemingly painlessly pop out both his own eyes with a knife and then cut off his tongue. Anyone have any idea what that one would be?
Edited by RetrodudeopenVirus or Germ Show/Movie Film
I remember seeing sometime around 2009 a part of a movie or show with some kind of virus, fighting another virus/germ. One of them is pushed off a girls eyelash, and dies inside a glass of water. Anyone remember?
openMade for TV movie late 2000ish long shot... Film
I'm trying to remember a movie I saw on tv once. I don't remember much, but I think it was about a woman who has an affair with her daughters boyfriend. I think he gets all obsessive and tries to kill someone but ends up falling and becomes paralized. I think he had dark hair and wore lots of plaid. The only thing I remember clearly is the boyfriend in a wheelchair drinking out of a straw in the end.
openOld British Horror Film Film
Okay, this is a horror film I saw late at night around 2001 but it was much older than that. It was from the 60s or 70s and British but, having searched through Hammer's catalogue, it doesn't seem to be one of theirs.
It was set in the Victorian era with a flashback to the Georgian era. There was a Georgian Lord of the Manor who was a deeply unpleasant character, he raped a peasant woman on her wedding night for the hell of it and chopped her husband's arm off with an axe when he tried to defend her and the husband put a curse on the Lord and his family. The Lord's Victorian descendent, who was a much nicer character, was worried his pregnant wife would be affected by the family curse and called in a paranormal specialist for help. Also the one-armed husband had a winestain birthmark on his face which was significant somehow.
It's bugged me for years because I never found out how it ended.
openWant to find this movie Film
Okay, I've been looking for this live-action film - it's from the mid 2000s (so from 2005 to 2008 or so), and it was this teen movie that was about a group of kids that break into a shopping mall. Not sure WHY they broke into a mall, but anyway - I've tried to track this movie down on IMDB with no luck. Does anyone have a recollection of this movie?
Edited by harryhenryopenNo Title Film
This show I saw when I was a kid, I think it ran on Sci Fi, but I'm not entirely sure. It's been bothering me because I haven't been able to find anything about it.
It was about this demon or monster who hated demons/monsters I think, but for whatever reason he fought other beings like him, and one of the supporting characters was this... snail demon girl? I think the show ran somewhere from 1999 to 2004. I think it may have been a western animation film, not a series, but it may have been an anime movie.
resolved No Title Film
A black-and-white film I saw on UK telly somewhere between 1990 and 1994, although I'm pretty certain it was American.
It starts with a record spinning on a player, and I think it ends the same way. There's a girl who is playing the star in the nativity, and all she needs as her costume is a pair of sneakers (there- it must've been American, I specifically remember her saying "sneakers" not "trainers")
As she's moving the star across the sky, she slips on a pipe or something and falls down, possibly knocking part of the set down.
Years later, a family knocks on the door asking to use the phone as their car has broken down and the children are late for the nativity- some in costume and one in a pair of sneakers. The original girl may or may not have died in the years between. I really can't remember.
Tried asking my mum about this, because I do remember crying over it later that night when I first watched it, but she doesn't remember it at all.
Thanks everyone!

Looking for the name of a 1960's or 1970's spy movie. Maybe a spoof. I remember a scene were a person is bending over a water fountain and the spy pushing them in. This sequence I believe happened in the opening credits. But for me, this was a rerun and I was 11 years old. But I've never seen the movie since. Any help.

This was a movie that I saw a trailer for in 2009 or thereabouts. It was some kind of horror movie, rated R.
As best I remember, a little girl named Sally moved into an old house in the country with her family, and there were these scary demon-like monsters in or near her closet/bedroom. They had creepy voices— sort of hissing— and I remember them saying "Ssssally... You are Sally." I think the main thing they said was "We want to be your friend." At one point, Sally told her mother that she was scared, and the mother promised that she would be right there.
Anybody remember it? I'd like to know the name of this thing that terrified me when I was 10.

I remember watching a film about a group of young German teenagers in the thirties who loved blues music despite it being banned due to the heavy connotations the genre has of black people. They'd sneak records around and one of them got beat up by an SS guard for being found with one. I don't think the film was very good, but I remember there being a sequence in an illegal club where everyone was dancing and the energy was absolutely amazing.
