openMaybe YouTube Anime Anime
Mkay, bear with me here. There is an anime i saw years ago i think on You Tube. The anime was of a rich elite school. There was a smart girl who wanted to go but couldn't pay for it, however they had a special program for kids like her. This program was the rich seniors would pay for the education of those smart "poor" kids, but in return they had to make sure they graduate. Not just tutor, GRADUATE. They had to be passing their classes in order for them to pay. I didn't see much of the anime, so i couldn't tell you a lot. But there was this one scene stuck in my head. The rich senior she was paired with a perverted asshole, or that's how he was portrayed as in the beginning. He had a painting assignment that he said he couldn't do cuz he wasn't inspired or he just didn't want to idk. But he told her the only way he'd do it is if she'd let him draw her naked. Of course she said no. He threatened to stop paying her and she'd get kicked out of the school. She kept her dignity as long as she could, but realized she would never go to college without this school so eventually she gave in. (I think they were in a classroom.) She began to undress herself, but as soon as she got to the very end when she was about to completely reveal herself, he looked away and stopped her. He told her he didn't want to do it anymore and just walked out and left her alone in the room. Through the facial expressions and great animation/camera skills, you could tell he could tell how uncomfortable she was and he actually liked and cared for her underneath his idiotic perverted persona. So yeah that's all i remember. I'm not sure if maybe i got some details wrong, but that's what i remember. Thanks in advance if you help me find this anime. It's been years and i still can't find it, even though it's stuck in my head. Mkay, have a great day/night!!
open Vampire anime Anime
Its an anime that has this like vampire theme... There is a doctor? (brown hair) i remember he has like stubbles but he wears a long white coat... The main character has blue hair and they live in like a small town... there are vampires... It has this specific style with the hair of the characters being ribbon like and by that i mean the ends of their hair is like the tips of ribbons (W shaped)... I think the town is trying to get rid of the vampires and stuff
openOld anime on AXN or Animax in the 90s or 2000 Anime
This was a very old and super generic heroes-trying-to-save-the-world show I watched sometime from the 90s to 2000.
The MC is a sword-fighting red haired boy and is said to often get mistaken as a girl. I mean I remember thinking that he looked feminine enough that he could pass as a girl. I know he's a guy because he and (maybe) some others had to swim across a river so he took off his shirt.
The heroes (MC included) each had a mystical ball of power with a kanji or something on it and travelled from planet to planet. They are not really special in any way; they were just selected to be heroes as they had the ball.
I remember they fought human-sized robots (which I guess was to lower the age rating as the MC cleaves his enemies into pieces). It was not a mecha anime.
The main(?)/last villain had a ball of mystical power too. I recall near the end (I know because the show ended soon after) that he killed his attendant with a sword to increase the power of his ball (The sword had a socket or place for the ball).
The villain’s ball was crushed in the end, and a blonde or brown haired girl was the only survivor of the heroes.
The world is saved.
P.S. I. I could have sworn the blond/brunette's name was Isabelle, Isabella or something similar. But Anime-Planet had nothing.
II. My sis recalled that the title of the anime was pretty long. She also found the show poor.
Edited by Nick4117openAlien Girl Anime
A long time ago, I remember going to my local library (back when you could go to libraries, ugh I miss going) and reading a manga about an alien (who looks like a cute human girl, predictably) who lands on Earth. I think there's also something involved about a school club, who either she organizes or they get involved with her shenanigans. It was a comedy, I think.
openHorror Manga I can't remember the name of. Anime
It was a manga written in Japan, and it was an anthology series, with most of the stories in it not having anything to do with one another, but taking place in the same world. The basic story is about these mechs that resemble naked human women, and are used as vehicles by this society. As it turns out, these mechs are all cloned from the remains of a fossilized human woman, and the people that pilot them are actually Liliputians, being only a few inches tall. Later in the series, a group of humans from the present day reawaken from stasis, and it is revealed that this world is a post apocalyptic Earth in the aftermath of some catacylsmic event. Also, the little people were created by this scientist, who mentally connected them to a giant computer. In the end, the normal sized humans managed to destroy the computer, and while the manga doesn't show this, it's presumed that all the little people end up dying from this. I remember this manga being very disturbing, with lots of body horror and brutal death scenes. I also remember it once being on the site, in the Liliputian trope section, but for some weird reason, it's gone now.
open"You're [#]% Uglier When You Cry" Anime
I'm not 100% on all the details, but I'm fairly certain the anime focused on the usual kind of whiny, crybaby-ish school girl (maybe there was character development? or maybe I'm remembering the character wrong). Of course there was also the apathetic, cool friend with dark(?) hair. The biggest thing I remember is when the friend said something along the lines of: "You're [#]% uglier when you cry." And at the end (I'm not sure if it was The End, or End of an Arc) there's something about time(?) travel because the world(? the protag? or her (male) love interest?) is in danger, and the friend volunteers to go (or maybe she was the one who had to). As I said, not 100% on the details, but other than the quote I'm pretty sure the friend kisses the protag before leaving, and says something snarky to the love interest.
Thanks in advance!
openSome anime style show I used to watch Anime
I don't know if its actually Japanese anime since its a show I used to watch when visiting family in Korea, I watched it in Korean so I don't know the title, there were 4 "kids" or maybe teenagers who I'm pretty sure fell into a different world or something and befriended small creatures, each had 1 as their partner or something. The creatures could all turn into a specific animalistic, giant mech and also "fuse" with each other in their mech forms The creatures were:
A red dino looking thing that turned into a tyrannosaurus
A round supposedly feathered yellow "bird" that turned into a eagle
A furry blue and white thing that turned into a wolf
And finally a shy blue thing with a slightly cubical head and big appetite with one single horn on its forehead I don't remember what it turned into but I suspect a rhino or elephant
Then they all went on a typical adventure where the kids ended up back in their world but I don't know what exactly happens around the end
No its not digimon
openRecent anime (within 3 years) horror/supernatural Anime
Vaguely remember some parts, guy/girl gets attacked at the start of the episode at a construction highrise at night, by a vampire girl/monster. Lots of fighting, one of the villainess is a foul-mouthed scythe wielding young girl. Other characters notice her swearing a lot, I think she flys on a broomstick? It's quite recent as well
Many thanks <3
openTown guys have to carry the body of the shrine god? Anime
I don't have a lot to go off here, but I"ve tried a few forums over the years, and I'm kind of desperate.
A while ago - sometime before 2017, probably - I remember seeing an anime (could be a series or a movie) where a group of teenagers was talking about how a summer festival was coming up. The guys in the group started complaining, because they knew they'd have to carry the body of the shrine god (the Mikoshi - you know, like you see in festival episodes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikoshi
). Sure enough, the festival comes, and the guys are all carrying it. The only other detail I remember is I think they were wearing blue happi. I'm not sure if that's enough information, but thank you!
openComedy About a Guy Testing a Suit Anime
Some time ago, I remember there being an anime series on Amazon Prime where the basic premise was that a young guy got a job testing a purple Ultraman-esque suit for a toy company or something. It's since left Prime and for the life of me, I can't remember the title. Anyone have any idea what show I'm talking about?
openAnimation with airships and planes Anime
I’m operating off of extremely few details because I saw this a long time ago and I was young-
I saw it on an obscure US TV channel some time at or before 2013 if that helps too.
The only key details I remember is there was a kid who flew an airplane or airplane-like vehicle who used an airship as a base of operations. There’s also one scene where he starts sliding when he’s landing so he has to run out of the plane as it’s landing and he lays on his back and laughs about it on the hangar deck once he knows he’s safe. Last detail I know is there’s a scene where the main character works with an old man to fix his airplane’s engine and then goes to fight a deformed bad guy.
I watched Last Exile because the visuals fit the vibe but it wasn’t it ... I’m going to watch the sequel to Last Exile but I’m less optimistic it’s that one I’m think of.
I know these are not a ton of details, but if anyone could lead my in the right direction then I’d have an answer to a question I’ve had for a while!
openAnpanman Educational Specials [FOUND] Anime
I've found mention of the Anpanman educational specials on both this site and another, but I can't seem to find them mentioned elsewhere. Would anyone happen to have titles for these specials? EDIT: Also read about "kindergarten movies" on here? Like, where Anpanman and Baikinman are full on friends?? I just want some good old friendship content! That one in particular, if anyone knows the name!
Edited by FriedBakaopenShonen Anime + MODOK? Anime
I remember the intro to a late nineties anime, probably a Shōnen series, with artstyle a bit similar to Toriko. Thing is, it was trying to cash in on the Pokemon craze, so the main character had a Mon, a creepy-looking circular thing with a human face and tiny arms and legs, kind of like a miniature version of Marvel's MODOK. I think holding it gave the guy fighting powers. I never actually watched the thing because it looked so weird for my childhood self, but now I grew curious.
openAnime about some social media? Anime
I watched a bit of this anime back in school during film club or something similar. It's could be a series but I'm not 100% sure. There was this part where someone sent out a mass email with a long encryption code which one of the characters solves in his closet or something then sends the answer back. Later a popular social media gets hacked and said before character realises it was him who did it.
I also remember there was some kind of family conflict as this guy walks in and people seem to dislike him, like there was some kind of past incident.
Also all these events took place in one of those traditional Japanese houses.
Any help would be appreciated!
Edit: It was Summer Wars. Thanks Randallw 201238!
Edited by hpw5openmaybe 2000s anime style show Anime
i remember only one scene and parts of it. a group of maybe 5 students probably high school age are walking around and then i think 2 of them get stuck in one room. they are obviously upset about this but don’t panic too much. after awhile it starts getting hot in the room and they start sweating. it keeps getting hotter and hotter and they have to start taking their clothes off to keep cool. the characters are one boy and one girl. they are friends so they are a little uncomfortable doing this but then accept that it just has to happen. i think they might’ve liked each other too. i think just before it got so hot that they had to take their underwear off someone was able to open the door and let them out. i have been thinking about this scene for years because i want to watch the rest of the show but i have no idea what it was called. i think it was on in the later 2000s maybe early 2010s on cartoon network or similar station. please help me.
openWhat 3D anime (cartoon?) is this? Anime

openAnime/cartoon about fighting animals Anime
My dad watched a cartoon or perhaps anime when he was younger, about animals that fight each other. It's not Thundercats or TMNT. It was most likely an anime. It aired during the 80s and 80s because my dad was born in 1976. What show is this? It has to be underground animals, like groundhogs or gophers. I don't know if this is real or my dad just imagined it.
openClown mech and another mechanical fighting Anime
So I saw on TV 2 mechs fighting and one of them looked likeba clown and it summoned theyes winged bells that hovered over the other mech and it began to fall asleep and the clown mech walked over to it but the other mech destroyed it with its sword. The other mech was controlled by one person and the clown mech was controlled by a group of people one who kinda looked like an ape. Anyone know this one
Edited by EmeraldDigimon

The most I remember about this one was that this boy had a group of friends he returned to after a long stretch of time and most of his friends, now grown up, were very happy to see him, save for one girl who acted rather distant. I believe that girl also used to play a violin, now that I think about it. I don't think I saw much of this show but ever since I randomly remembered it, not remembering it has stressed me out.
