Find a Trope:
resolved Interrupted imagination sequence
Bob has an imagination spot where he talks to a guy, and the guy suddenly starts repeatedly calling out to him, "Bob? Bob? Bob?"... then, the scene goes back to reality to reveal that it was actually Alice calling him to wake him up from his imagination spot.
resolved Mid fight power up
You know the typical moment when the hero is about to lose only to get a new power-up in the middle of the fight. Like when Goku turns super saiyan during his fight with freezer in Dragon Ball Z
resolved defying physics? Videogame
In Zelda, Link's Awakening, if a text box pops up while mid-air, you stay mid-air until it disappears. It's a technical issue, not enough to break the willing suspension of disbelief; it gets weird, though, approaching e.g. Mamu while jumping. You stay mid-air while they perform (which incidentally concerns the best canon in the semitone I ever heard, só funny).
This is obviously a technical oversight and not an intentional breaking of physical laws. Is there a trope that fits this scenario?
resolved Not Missing but Dead All Along Live Action TV
Dead All Along seems to involve characters who were ghosts or projections the whole time, but is there a specific trope for when a character's who thought to have run away and broken off all contact with their family is revealed to have been murdered, with the killer(s) having tricked the deceased's loved ones into thinking that they were simply living somewhere else and just didn't want to be found.
resolved Middle Eastern Terrorists Live Action TV
A Sister Trope to Western, African, South Asian, and Far East Asian Terrorists, Middle Eastern Terrorists are terrorists who are
resolved Limited talking limit and unrealistic time
In Date Everything, a dateable (a character that you can date) can only be talked to once each day. The dateviator only works five times a day (even though it is unclear if it recharges by itself as you are never seen recharging it by anyway), so you can talk to a maximum of five characters per day. Also, despite how long or short the conservations are, it will always be nighttime by the time you finish talking with five characters. If you don't talk to anyone then it will never been nighttime (probably, though I haven't tried) despite how much you wait.
Tropes? If it was just Acceptable Break from Reality, why is it used that way?
Edited by LucasdaKoolresolved Optional Food/Drink, Necessary Sleep
In Date Everything!, you can eat food and drink beverages. However if you don't eat or drink anything for a month or more you would still survive (despite you're human), but everyday you still need to sleep.
The Dateaviators (the glasses that allow you to see objects/concepts in humanoid form) need to be recharged everyday by sleeping. It's unclear whether the sleeping itself recharge the glasses, or you just recharge it right before you sleep.

Edited by LucasdaKoolresolved Death by Crusher
I'm looking to see if we have a trope where a character gets crushed, usually to their death. I looked on the The Terminator page, but couldn't find anything. Specific examples include the Terminator's means of death (being crushed by a hydraulic press) in The Terminator, being crushed by an anvil/hammer a la Looney Tunes, or Makima's "Force Manipulation" power from Chainsaw Man. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Edited by sanguinemoonresolved Rubber Ducks and Bath
In fictions, we often see rubber ducks during bath.
In Tom And Jerry, in some bath scene the rubber duck can be seen, and in the Date Everything game, a dateable is based on the rubber duck, which can be found near a bathtub.
Tom and Jerry is a children cartoon so there's no problem, but for Date Everything, I wonder if any adult still play with rubber ducks (there is also a teddy bear in the game, but this is different).
As for the rubber duck itself, how common it is in Western countries's bath?
I only have shower so I don't know. Is this a trope?
resolved Missing Reflection for non-Vampire
Can Missing Reflection be used for non-Vampire?
In Date Everything!, if you look at the mirrors, your face wouldn't show up, not even as a silhouette despite you're supposedly human.
What trope is this, if any?
resolved Rigged fight Videogame
In this trope, the fight is so difficult it generally favors heavily the AI instead of the player. For example, the fight in Pokemon stadium 2 against Red, with rentals only, Red has 3 legendaries on his team, I mean, it's obvious it's not a fair fight. I'm talking about a fight made in videogames against the computer, or an opponent the computer operates, with rules that don't favor the player but the opponent.
Edited by luigirovattiresolved Confusing last words Film
Alice is on her deathbed. Bob leans in to hear her final words, only for them to turn out to be something cryptic that he can't understand; before he can ask her "wait, what?", she's already gone.
resolved Know age without asking
In Ace Attorney, although we never seen (or it does, very few as I remember) the main character ask about the other's age. Despite this, every character profile has the exact age.
How did the main characters know other's age?
resolved Accidental Transformation
Character A (how has magic powers) turns Character B into a non-human creature by accident.

Alice loathes Bob and finds him contemptible. But Bob helped Alice in a time of great need, perhaps saved her life. Alice now feels bound by honor to admit she is in great debt to Bob, and she's eager to repay the debt in full as soon as possible because she resents owing Bob anything, due to her contempt for him as a person.
I have seen this where Alice and Bob are mutual enemies, and I have also seen where Bob is oblivious to Alice's resentment.
