Is there a trope for when someone does something as a "favor", but it turns out to be just as harmful as it is helpful, if not more?
Specifically, I'm talking about an early plot point in El Goonish Shive. Nioi shows up, and without actually receiving permission, implants an alternate universe version of Ellen's memories into her mind. This definitely helped her get used to being female, and gave her something to distinguish herself from Elliot, who she is a clone of. But now she has some trouble in history class because aliens weren't secret in the other universe, and she just about walled herself off from Tedd (who "used to be" her best friend) because she now had memories of two versions of him. And then there's the fact that Nioi actually invaded her mind and her alternate self's mind.
It's not Moral Dissonance, because that refers to the protagonist, which Nioi isn't.

I chose webcomic because this would mainly appear in comics, but this can also be in western animation.
Okay, so I swear I've seen this before. A character thinks of something inside a puffy cloud dream bubble, or etc, and other characters outside of it in the physical world can somehow touch the bubble, manipulate it, poke it, make it pop, or eat it (and etc, anything.) Is there a trope for that? I'm also thinking this trope could also work for dialogue bubbles in comics.

In the current Leftover Soup storyline, Ellen was assigned responsibility for watching over the hedgehog while Jamie was at work
, and she accidentally backed her office chair over her.
It's ... like Carrying a Cake, but less specific. Help?

Is a previously completely static webcomic introducing animations a version of Art Evolution or something different?

Is there a trope about themed villains? For example in the webcomic I am working on the Trope page for, in issue #4 the villain is a Marine Biologist
who snapped and tried to take over the world and I want to put him down under themed villain.

Is there a trope page for The Darkened Heart Project
? It's a photocomic chronicling an intern's investigation of a century-old virus, of which the evidence has been buried in the archives of the Smithsonian. The deeper he digs into the mystery, the more convinced he becomes that there was a conspiracy to cover up this plague. One of the many questions is, why?
It's definitely a good read, with an engrossing plot, well-designed props, and well-written dialogue that almost makes you forget that it is a fictional tale. The comic has been on hiatus for months, but it was recently announced (3/27/2011) that it would be resumed sometime in the next few weeks.

Did Not Do The Research is about when a writer... doesn't do the research. Is there a trope for when someone in a story makes that mistake?
Specifically, I'm talking about a true story from The Trenches, in which
a game retailer's marketing department completely underestimates how popular the PS 3 is going to be, not even bothering to check online trends, resulting in far too little supply for obviously high demand.
