Or rather, I've seen it most often in anime...the focus character is a fairly stiff guy, may be The Only Sane Man, who is dragged into wacky hijinks by the other characters against his will, making a mess of his life. But implicitly or explictly, the goal in the story is to make him a better person by putting him through horrible experiences.
May involve a Manic Pixie Dream Girl, but in most of the examples I'm thinking of, it's an entire cast imposing on the stiff guy's time, money and patience.
For a couple of examples, Rozen Maiden and Gash Bell, both featuring boys who hide away from the world until their new companions force them to interact with others.
Explicit in Haunted Junction: the Preacher's Kid who says I Just Want to Be Normal, but is constantly dragged into supernatural mayhem. In the final episode we learn that the school spirits have been tormenting him specifically to avert a Bad Future in which he lives a "normal life" but never emotionally connects with anyone including his future wife and child.
Which seems to lead into a happy ending...except that said preacher's kid was made so miserable by the constant torment that he voluntarily participated in a plan to kill or imprison all the school spirits; and there's no indication that things are going to get better for him.

Do we have a trope for that thing that often turns up in shounen anime, where a character will draw some of their own blood by biting through the tip of their finger? Usually used for Blood Magic.

I'm looking for a trope that usually shows up in the final or the penultimate episode of various anime series. The idea behind the trope is that the main characters have to get to their ultimate goal. It could be the McGuffin. It could be to stop our hero's love interest from being sacrificed to some dark and sinister god, or whatever. As our heroes are racing to this goal, some enemy forces will spring up to try and stop them.
Thus, our heroes are bogged down. However, time is of the essence. Thus, one of our heroes says something to the effect of, "Go on, I'll hold them off." Our heroes will say something to the effect of "Don't Die", and then go on. Then this happens again, and again, until we're down to just the main character, and maybe his love interest, until finally we get to the last battle.
I can think of at least four series where this happens, though there are definitely more:
Tenchi Universe Record of Lodoss War (OVA) Tsubasa Season 1 Outlaw Star
Anyone know what Trope I'm looking for?

Is there a name for a show (usually anime) that gives away key plot details in the opening several episodes before they occur? Bleach is a big offender, especially with showing Ulquiorra's resurrection form all the way at the beginning of the season, therefore totally spoiling the surprise.

Ok, I'm not sure if there is a trope for what I'm thinking of... If there was a name to give to it, I would call it "Bedtime Brainwashing".
The gist of the trope is when a character in a mentally vulnerable state similar to sleep (usually actually sleeping) when another character whispers in their ear in the attempt to subliminally influence their dreams or thoughts.
Type 1: The whispering character says something pleasant which makes the sleeper feel reassured or calmed, maybe even delighted.
Type 2: The whispering character attempts to trouble the sleeper's dream by plaguing his/her mind with troublesome thoughts and worries.
Type 3: The whispering character chants some sort of command or mantra so as to sublimially influence the sleeper's behavior when they wake up.
Example: Alice and Bob are sharing the same bed, and Bob wakes up when he overhears Alice's muttering in her sleep due to a bad dream, visably upset. Bob tries to whisper in her ear some sort of encouraging message or mantra for which to calm Alice down while she is completely unaware of Bob doing this.
Examples that come to mind. I can only think of a few in anime, but I'm sure there are other mediums that have them too...
Ebichu the Housekeeping Hamster:

(3:15 to 4:15. NSFW)
Ebichu does both Type 1 and 2. He does Type 1 to her beloved master (normally depressed and desperate "Christmas Cake") who ends up waking up the next morning feeling completely refreshed and in good spirit.
Soon after, he tries to do Type 2 to said's master undesirable boyfriend by pretending to be the boyfriend's boss at work and calling him useless and all that. This attempt is subverted by the fact that he was actually awake the entire time and comedically beats Ebichu bloody.
History's Greatest Disciple Kenichi:

Kenichi's martial artists masters use a Type 3 of this in the attempt to convince Kenichi to accept the Training from Hell they want to give him to prepare for an opponent he was having trouble with. The actual attempt doesn't work though.

Really animation in general. Someone shoots a barrage of bullets and the person stands in/runs through the barrage, every bullet missing somehow.
And another thing, what is this other trope called, where someone is being chased down, the chaser is right behind them really close, yet when they run into an alleyway the chaser automatically loses the person despite the short distance between them

Is there a trope for the habit of vilains to explain their plan to the heroes before killing them (or so they think)? Usually with a Stock Phrase like "you are going to die, so I can tell you"... I saw it mostly in anime/manga but I think it's common in superhero comics too...
Edited by LyendithopenNo Title Anime
In the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei manga, whenever one of the teenage girls is introduced in a chapter, she gets a near pin up drawing that's 2/3rds of the full page size placed in front of the story panels. These usually have skirts fluttering up to within a centimeter of showing their panties so it's not quite Fan Service, so what is it?
This is in addition to the visual puns (dog with stick attached, etc.) that are put into the story panels.

I chose anime but this is common in a lot of mediums. Anyway: The trope where the hero basically gets the shit beat out of them for a large portion of a fight, constantly punched in the face, kicked in the gut, etc., and still manages to get up, and eventually they just land one punch on the bad dude's face and it's treated as some sort of miracle, with the baddie suddenly critically injured, despite taking a fraction of what he dished out. It's sort of like Made of Iron combined with some sort of "Villians are glass cannons" trope.

There is an interesting thing i found out about code geass which trope should i add it too?
Its about this.

Look at around 8:30 to 40-ish Suzaku is humming a tune while waving a cat toy up and down. The tune he's humming is the tune of this popular japanese children's song
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXam0jp23gw
Which trope does that go or is it not worthy of putting in a wiki? If it is worthy which trope does it show? So i can add it
Ps : The japanese song is about a cat hiding under a blanket. Kudos to my japanese friend for pointing this out

I'm looking for something like "intentional body modifications are evil".
This is for series where if you were born with a body mod or it just happened to you then you just get Cursed with Awesome like Naruto, GITS, Full Metal Alchemist, etc.
However anybody who intentionally changes their body for a power up gets Evil Is Visceral
