I know there's a Cat Girl trope, Unusual Ears trope, In the Hood trope... But what about Nekomimi Hood? It's quite popular in certain animes (to be honest, I'd love to own one in real life) and even more popular in Fan Art. You know what I'm talking about, right? It's when a character doesn't have actual nekomimi but their clothes do. Like here
or here
or here
. I'm surprised there's no page for this.

I know this happens in anime a lot. Is there a trope for when one character has suddenly reveals him/herself to be the ice cold pessimist, knower of awful truths, or just plain ominous, usually denoted by a shadowy face, and no eyes?
- MORE IMPORTANTLY**, is there a trope for when the person who is supposed to be intimidated by this turns out to have even darker secrets, more power/wisdom, etc., in turn freaking the first character, who has realized that he/she is actually the one in the dark?

Is there a Trope for the various bad guys in a franchise always having some sort of common signifier, regardless of their origins or relationship (or lack thereof) to each other?
I'm thinking of the fact that in the first part of the Universal Century timeline in Mobile Suit Gundam, mono-eye sensors are almost always used by the series antagonists. Granted in Zeta Gundam, both sides used them, but the Titans used mono-eyed suits almost exclusively, and used Zeon-syle patterns on their uniforms for rank insignia, despite being specifically created as an anti-Zeon force.
With the rise of Neo-Zeon in Gundam ZZ, pretty much all of the Zeon influence in the Federal forces suddenly evaporates - not a mono-eye to be seen. And the Neo-Zeon mobile suits are nearly exclusively mono-eyed, with only the Qubeleys and the Quin-Mantha being exceptions, if I remember correctly.
Although G-Savior was de-canonized, it did the same thing. CONSENT mobile suits have mono-eyes, while the Saviors and Freedom MS follow the Gundam/GM pattern.
I don't know if this pops up in any other media/franchises, which could explain why it isn't a trope, but I'd be surprised if Gundam is the only place where this appears.

I tried searching around but I can't seem to find any examples or tropes that come near it. At least not with any commonly used words.
It's mainly an anime trope where you can visually see someone's soul emerging out of their mouth or another open orifice because they suffered some kind of sudden shock or wound that leaves them so stunned that they feel like they could die at any moment. In short, giving up the ghost.
I've seen it numerous times in manga and anime series like:
- Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi (two such examples
among numerous others)
- Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
- Love Hina
And many other series that I can't think of right now. I've seen it all over the place though. Among others. If this trope doesnt' exist, then I'm gonna go make it on YKTTW in a couple days.

Is there a trope for, well, let's temporarily call it "The Touching Forefingers of Romantic or Sexual Embarrassment": the person's talking (or trying to)—usually but not always to their object of desire—and their head is down, gaze averted, and their hands are up near their chest, with their forefingers together. Some they're tapping the tips together, or rubbing the tips in a circle, or making a steeple of them, or working them up and down, or back and forth, etc. Examples: (1) Naruto, trying to ask Sakura for a date; (2) Hinata, trying to talk to Naruto; more recently, (3) Muneakira in the beach episode of Samurai Girls, talking about having to marry Sen or Yukimura; (4) the girl ghost in Mahoromatic #5, trying to confess her feelings to the boy ghost—and also Rin in a later episode, when the new teacher is questioning her and Miyuri about Suguru; (5) Akane (in her Moe mode) just about any time she's trying to talk to Natsuru. I know I've seen countless (ok, only many many) other examples, but these will do for starters.
This seems to me to be something very Japanese...but I'm not sure.

Is there a trope for guys walking around—especially down the road—with both hands behind the head? (1) Naruto has been shown doing this. (2) Mugen in Samurai Champloo. (3) Ginta in Bleach (tho not down the road). Given the examples, it seems to be emblematic of a certain personality, maybe unconventional or casual or...?

Wasn't there a trope for an anime character being "inspiring" and the background changes to an animated version of the Japanese imperial flag (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_IskKlnE3Nzc/SOXz_mLsWXI/AAAAAAAAAlU/Fi8wqtu2hdE/s400/japanese_flag_3_3.gif)

An energy attack or elemental attack shaped like an animal (usually magical).
- It's not Animal Battle Aura. This trope can be made of energy, but occupies physical space and has a purpose besides looking scary.
- It's not Summon Magic or Mon. This trope is just a clumb of mass/energy given shape (and a little bit of awareness, sometimes). It wasn't summoned and doesn't have a physical equivalent anywhere.
Examples:
- Naruto: Black Panther
- Zatch Bell: Baou Zakeruga

One of the character's main traits is that she sees beauty everywhere. Her child-like innocence is commented on, and people talk about how she notices the beauty that the more jaded characters seem to miss. I can't think of the trope name for it, and "Innocent Eyes" didn't turn up any results...

You know how in certain anime and manga, when introducing two new characters, likely an evil duo, there will be one serving as the brute (the taller member), and one serving as the brains (the shorter member). However, when pressed, it seems that the shorter one is the far more powerful/skilled one.
So far I can recall three examples:
1) Dragon Ball: Vegeta and Nappa 2) Naruto: Itachi and Kisame 3) Prince of Tennis: Atobe and that guy whose name escapes me at the moment
Does anyone have a trope name?

I noticed that in almost all anime the characters can hear eachother no matter how far away they are, just as long as the person they're speaking to is in sight. A guy stands on top of a skyscraper a half a mile away? No problem just say hi he'll hear you. No need to scream either.
Anyways is there a trope for that?
A zig-zag of sorts for this can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tH60cNil1g#t=3m40s

Is there a trope that covers Seto Kaiba's constant refusal to acknowledge magic? Each 4 to 6 episodes, there will be a new magica plot device, but each time he will again refuse to believe in magic at all, even though he has seen Yugi transform half a hundred times. There are probably more examples in more "mature" works of fiction, but I don't remember any at the moment. Thanks in advance!

Where's the trope for budget-saving sideways anime mouth?
