resolved Trolling, edit warring Videogame
User Calm Hill Of Treasures,
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/el.php?findfor=CalmHillOfTreasures
has been engaging in blatant agenda-based edit warring and trolling on the ymmv page for Unicorn Overlord,
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/YMMV/UnicornOverlord
Their particular focus is the Woolseyism trope (a noisy minority of chuds on twitter have raised a big stink over the localization).
Calm Hill has ignored invitations to discuss issues they have with the example, their edit reasons have been utter nonsense (citing Zero Context Examples despite including more than sufficient context), they've deleted Les Yay and Ho Yay from the same page because, "Grammar", they deleted a Crowning Funny example (that has a quote from the localization) because "typo", and they re-worded the Woolseysim trope to be hostile to the localization because, "fixing a sinkhole", before just deleting their own revised version because, "Grammar".
Edited by Raxisresolved Troping trivia and YMMV entries for a nonexistent subpage Videogame
I recently added a Laconic entry for the music album Pac-Man Fever. I decided to check the trivia and YMMV pages out of curiosity, and found that people had added entries for the video game also called Pac Man Fever. However, clicking the VideoGame/ tab redirects me to the Pac-Man page instead, which means the VideoGame/ work page for it doesn't exist. Should I cut the Trivia and YMMV tropes, comment them out, or move them to Pac-Man's Trivia/ and YMMV/ namespaces?
resolved Edits Not Showing Up When Logged Out Videogame
Recently, I made these edits
to the WMG page for Home Safety Hotline. The changes show up when I'm logged in, but they are nowhere to be seen when I'm logged out.
I'm not sure what happened, but could it be because I didn't click on the "CONFIRM CHANGES" button in the source editor after I finished making my changes? I noticed that button last night and didn't think much of it at first. Sometime after I noticed my changes weren't showing up logged out, I read on the changelog
that the button was added on the 15th of this month along with the visual editor.
So could that be the problem of why my changes aren't showing up without being logged on? I never really had this problem until now.
resolved Mentioning fan speculation Videogame
Context: Shin Megami Tensei V`s Updated Re-release, Vengeance, was originally planned to release on June 21, 2024 before being moved up to June 14. This lead to people speculating that it was intentionally moved as to avoid competing with Elden Ring`s highly anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
With that in mind, SMTV's Trivia page mentions this speculation twice (along the line of "leading fans to speculate"). I'm not sure this is allowed, but I want to make sure.
Here are the entries in question:
- Dueling Games: Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance was originally to be released on the same day as Elden Ring's highly anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expansion. When Atlus announced that Vengeance would release a week earlier, people speculated that Atlus wanted to avoid this.
- Release Date Change: Vengeance was meant to be released Worldwide on June 21st of 2024, but nearly a month after its announcement, Atlus announced that it would release a week earlier
, with fans speculating that this was to avoid competition from Elden Ring's expansion.
resolved Are these examples correct? Videogame
Found this on FireEmblemThreeHouses.Tropes A To D
- All Lesbians Want Kids: If a female Byleth gets a paired ending with Mercedes it is stated that they ended up opening an orphanage and raising many kids together. Byleth also ends up adopting children in her paired ending with Dorothea but only in the Japanese version of the game.
Looking at the trope page, the trope is about various lesbian women who wants to have a kid. This entry simply states that Female Byleth and Mercedes opened an orphanage and becoming mothers to many orphaned children. No mention of them wanting kids. Any other thoughts?
Characters.Fire Emblem Three Houses Adrestian Empire
- Psycho Lesbian: She doesn't express any sort of romantic interest in any of the male characters and has an extreme obsession with Edelgard which goes to the point that she keeps track of every meal that Edelgard has eaten, the amount of times she's sighed, the amount of times she's said Monica's name, or to her chagrin, the names of others compared to her own. Downplayed, as while Monica's obsession with Edelgard is clearly unhealthy she doesn't actually physically hurt anyone over it.
The trope is about a woman is psychotically obsessed with another woman, to the point of actively harming others. As written, Monica sounds more like a lesbian Clingy Jealous Girl than anything.
Edit: The examples are misuse per here
and here

How specific does a release window for an upcoming game that only has a cutscene trailer need to be? Is a year enough, or do we need the quarter/season/month?
resolved The Elder Scrolls Character Page Splitting Videogame
The character page for The Elder Scrolls: Divine Beings is getting quite large, so I'm looking to split it into "Pre-Creation Entities", "Aedra", "The Tribunal and Dagoth Ur" and "Other Deities".
Additionally, I'm looking to soft-split The Elder Scrolls: Historical Figures into different sections for better categorisation.
I'd just like to know if I need to discuss with others before splitting any character pages, or if I can go right ahead with the edits. How to Split a Page doesn't specify if I need prior permission, but I just want to be sure.
For reference:
The Elder Scrolls: Divine Beings (including pre-existing Daedra sub-pages)
- Pre-Creation Entities
- The Aedra (Nine Divines)

resolved Can I cut this page if the only entry no longer applies? Videogame
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: As Sarcastic Pasta Games have taken down the DLC in 2020 citing the need to replace multiple assets, this DLC is currently unplayable unless you already have a copy of it.
Except, now that I've checked the creator's page, the DLC is available
to download again
, by about note (coincidentally, since I just came across this news because of this entry) half a day ago. It's the only entry, can I cut the page?
EDIT: 5 days late, but I just updated the entry per the last reply. Going to lock without bumping. Edited by BlackFaithStar

resolved Very Questionable Troping Videogame
The one-month-old account TNO Enjoyer has been displaying a pattern of bizarre behaviour. I don't have the time to catalogue it all in detail, but it includes and is not limited to:
- Creating the subpage Characters.TNO Legacy Denmark, and an invalid Analysis page for it. The former was cut for duplicating content already on TNO Europe.
- Adding an entry on FanWorks.Hearts Of Iron for "Chronicles Of Elementa", which is described only as an "upcoming mod". This was later removed by another Troper.
- Creating the page "Chronicles Elementa", which was cut as a stub.
- Creating a Characters page for "Elementa Chronicles'', and several sub-pages for it, without a corresponding work page.
- Creating then abandoning the misspelled page "Characters.Chroniclesof Elementa".
- Adding a blank folder to Characters.TNO Misc.
- Creating two more troll stubs, Characters.Revolutionaries, and Revolutionaries.Characters containing only the word "Bruh".
I know absolutely nothing about Hearts of Iron and its clearly extensive fan-work community, but there are no results for "Elementa Chronicles" on Google whosoever, unless you count misspellings of a Minecraft fanwork series named the Elementia Chronicles. I can't tell if this Troper is a troll or vandal, or simply trying to trope their own unpublished mod, in which case it should be on Darth Wiki. In any case, they've made an awful lot of stubs.
Update: I have sent Characters.Chroniclesof Elementa, Characters.Revolutionaries, Revolutionaries.Characters, and Analysis.TNO Legacy Denmark to the Cut List, the former three for being stubs, the latter for namespace misuse. Edited by Azorius24

Edited by AwkbutTVTresolved Should an entry in a Subtext page be updated/removed if Word Of God confirms it's just 'text'? Videogame
Ok, SPECIFICALLY, this is regarding the Resident Evil: Code Veronica entry in Incest Subtext, cos of the Ashford twins (obviously). The subtext from Alfred's obsession with Alexia is the entire basis of his creepiness, and also Alexia to Alfred in her awakening FMV cutscene. But in the same year that Code Veronica was released, Shinji Mikami confirmed in a Famitsu interview that the Ashford twins had kissed just as their FMV intro with the dragonfly torture cuts off. So like, is the incest still subtext? If the producer/creator was telling the story from their perspective that the twins are behaving as twins in an incestuous relationship, is that still just subtext?
My general question is whether Word of God is enough to propel something that SEEMS heavily implied, to actually being told straight to the audience but the audience didn't realize it because the confirmation was deliberately kept off-screen?

I do not know if I am doing this in the right section of the site, but there is something that has puzzled me only recently. According to the plot of the game, the Rookie got the abilities of Amazo, an android that is able to copy superpowers. I know it's a game, but still, how? How could the Rookie get Amazo's abilities, given the fact that Amazo is an android, and the Rookie is an ordinary person.
resolved Excessively Long Quotes Videogame
I originally brought up my concerns with Quotes.Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers in General Page Quote Discussion
, but quickly figured that might not have been the right thread for it. Hence I'm taking it to ATT instead since I don't recall a thread specifically for Quotes pages.
The issue is that the Story Quotes folder has quotes that are excessively long. The very first quote is pretty much the entire transcript for the scene where the Hero disappears. The other three are huge paragraphs, each one a borderline Wall of Text.
Surely quotes of that length are overwhelming to the reader? To what extend should they be condensed? Or should they be cut and replaced with more succinct quotes?
resolved Aigis from Persona 3 got Character-Specific Page too soon. Videogame
I was checking the character sheets for Persona 3 and I noticed that someone had given Aigis her own character-specific page when her character folder is still below 40,000 characters (it's around 30,000 characters at the time I'm writing this).
I know that character-specific pages are allowed if the character count is just below 40,000 or if there's nowhere else to put them or if it covers multiple incarnations of a character. None of these apply to Aigis. She didn't get her own sandbox page before getting a character-specific page.
Can someone help me?
Here's a link to the page. You can verify the byte count if you want.
resolved Does being a HighTierScrappy disqualify a character from being RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap Videogame
Just now, the user, jnv11, removed
a Rescued from the Scrappy Heap entry from the Street Fighter 6 YMMV page regarding the game's protagonist, Luke, claiming that he's "universally hated" and that him being a High-Tier Scrappy disqualifies him from the trope.
While I've seen some hate for Luke, I've also seen a lot of people say that either like him or used to hate him but now like him, so I wouldn't exactly call Luke "universally hated", especially when he's currently one of the most used characters across the board
, which, if anything, indicates that he's very popular.
Even his High-Tier Scrappy entry doesn't talk about him in a negative manner, and his now deleted RFTSH entry stated that he was only hated for coming off as The Generic Guy in the previous game, which this one rectified.
So him being a High-Tier Scrappy is the one thing that I could see invalidating him being Rescued from the Scrappy Heap, if that's how that works.
So, does being a High-Tier Scrappy disqualify a character from being Rescued from the Scrappy Heap?
