openSpoilers in Foreshadowing pages Anime
I am planning to create a standalone Foreshadowing page for Chainsaw Man as the Foreshadowing section has become too large. As the trope naturally concerns spoilery events, I have looked at multiple Foreshadowing pages for other works to check the standards for spoilering information, only to see that some pages have no spoiler tags at all (often with warnings at the top of the page) or many spoiler tags attached to the examples. I am unsure of which direction to take: with or without spoiler tags. Which option is more preferable?
open Ganging up to protect Anime
Is there any trope for when multiple characters gang up on the enemy/antagonist to protect the victim of an ass beat? Picture Neji being stopped of beating Hinata, Ichigo losing control and being stopped by the Vizards or the black bulls stopping the space magic dude that went berserk

openAccidentally messed up a page Anime
I was removing spoiler tags from TearJerker.Case Closed but something went wrong and there's a bunch of broken brackets in the page. I'm trying to fix my mistake myself but if a mod is reading this and can revert the edit then that would be helpful. Thanks
edit: fixed I think
Edited by N1KFopenYGO Sevens Fridge removed by Jackpot for no obvious reason Anime
...Yeah, this again.
So I had put a bit of an expansion on a Fridge observation. This is an original.
...
During Yuga and Luke’s duel near the end of the Team Battle Royal Arc, they both use an old card that perfectly reflects their character’s: Luke used Pot of Greed, which lets him draw two cards for no cost, reflecting his huge ego and desire to be the best either blinding him to the real problems the characters are facing, or directly contribute to them. Yuga used Graceful Charity, which lets him draw three cards, but then has to discard two for the cost, reflecting his selfless nature to make dueling enjoyable and making sacrifices to help others. This is further exemplified during the Goha Siblings Arc, where Luke sided with Yuo without any hesitation under the belief he was the sixth sibling, while Yuga, after defeating The☆Lukeman, negotiates with Yuo to reinstate his siblings as president in exchange for him working for Goha.
...
This is what I added
...
- This is not the only way of reflecting on their characteristics. Yuga's use of Graceful Charity allows him to set up long term strategies with the graveyard, such as Kuribot and massing Level 7 monsters for his trap cards, showing his strategic mindset. Meanwhile Luke's preference for more simple and straightforward strategies is shown by him just drawing two cards. He gets what he needs without any side effects or costs in a straightforward but effective manner.
...
Jackpot removed it, and I have no idea why or for what. I don't see why as there are several tropes elsewhere in Sevens about how Yuga prefers more complicated strategies and Luke prefers simpler and straightforward ones and adding onto the above discussion with a second layer of how it reflects the two of them's preferences seems like it shouldn't be an issue. Expanding on fridge points with additional elements happens all the time, and I have no idea why Jackpot removed it.
Please assist.
(NOTE: I am specifically referring to the above Fridge. Jackpot's removed or messed with several edits of mine on other pages in both Sevens pages and Ladybug's fridge page recently, but I have discussions on their own pages about those incidents. This is specifically on this fridge issue only. Please keep it to this specific topic for Mod preferences).
openTitle in the Fanfic Recs Page Anime
I have noticed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has an image of the first volume cover of the manga on the page. I have not seen any other Fanfic Recs pages with images on them, so I believe that the image shouldn't be there. Are images actually allowed in those pages? If not, should I remove it?
openBig Damn Heroes awareness Anime
Do people need to be aware of the hero's Big Damn Heroes moment? In Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun first season end, Iruma uses his magic to launch a bomb about to explode up away from the school and breaks a barrier around the school. The bomb then detonates and releases the fireworks inside the bomb (it was originally a firework's shell but amped up by powerful magic). The students are in awe of the explosion and find it beautiful. No one, even the teachers, were aware of the full danger everyone was in.
openRenaming "Inside Tsubaki Kunoichi's Heart" Anime
So I'm the writer of the Inside Tsubaki Kunoichi's Heart
page, and today a promotional video was released that now presents the Japanese translation of the name (Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi) as "In The Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki".
With that info in mind, I wanna rename the page to reflect the new official name. Is there a way to request this, or should I copy over everything to a new page with the new name and request a deletion of the old page?
openQuotations edging into plagiarism? Anime
While browsing through fanfic pages, Fanfic.Isnt It Beautiful and Fanfic. We Werent Born To Follow struck me with some weird choices. Several examples on them appear to have flat out chunks of the fic itself inserted as context. Not quotes from the characters, but narration. For one example, but there's more.
- The boy is a whirlwind, swinging his tonfa with ease and comfort and using them in probably unconventional ways. He hits with them, sure, and blocks, and parries. And then reverses his grip, uses the short handle to hook under the armpit or around a knee to trip them over. And then turns them around again to use as stilts for his hands, adding inches to the reach of his upwards kick that sends a far-taller opponent reeling back.
This feels in violation of ZCE rules, but I'm not sure if the attempt at indicating quotation saves it from being a plagiarism problem.
Edited by AdannoropenDelicious Party Pretty Cure Anime
Recently, the page (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/MythologyGag/DeliciousPartyPrettyCure)
was cut because the examples that I provided below are not mythology gags and are not expies but but some fans noticed the similarities between Delicious Party and Happiness Charge.
Where I can I put these examples in?
- Their costumes are based on traditional costumes around the world
- Yui's personality similar to Megumi's
- Kokone's cool personality matched those of Iona's even though her color is that of Hime's
- Ran always talks about rice just like Yuko
- Yui and Takumi are childhood friends, sound familiar?
- Delicious Party shared the theme of happiness with Happiness Charge
openDid I use this example right? Anime
I repost my post from "Is this an example?" since no one answered it.
I am going to have you guys check my upcoming example of My Little Goat because I'm not sure if I use this example of Fan Disservice right.
- Fan Disservice: Natsuki was shown naked isn't meant be fanservice due to the fact that he's a child and he was nearly raped by his own father. Thankfully, the Barbie Doll Anatomy censors the bottoms of the characters.
openMeme or FanNickname? Anime
On My Hero Academia, I removed the below entry because it read as Fan Nickname rather than an actual meme.
- Bethesda Fallout man.note When Mirio was introduced, fans quickly made the connection to the mascot of Fallout, the Vault Boy, as both share the same blond haircut and Black Bead Eyes. The fact that he's able to clip through the floor as his Quirk (and that it's been described as a video game glitch
◊ in-universe) helps further the comparisons.
After I removed it, Wolfof Blades added this below instead a day later:
- It's commonly joked and memed on in the fandom that Mirio is either pretty much or just outright called Vault Boy, the mascot of Bethesda's ''Fallout series. As both share the same blond haircut and Black Bead Eyes. The fact that he's able to clip through the floor as a part of his Quirk's uses (and that it's been described as a video game glitch
◊ in-universe) helps further the comparisons.
Would this even qualify since it still reads like an attempt to put Fan Nickname in meme?
Edited by keyblade333openCreating a trope Anime
Hello, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding all of the rules when it comes to creating a trope and I don't want to break any rules, can someone help explain some of the information I read pertaining to the process?
Edited by MacronNotesopenHeavy-ZCE page Anime
Happy Seven's page is almost entirely made up of ZCEs, to the point that if I were to comment them all out there would be about two tropes left on the page. I'm not familiar with the show, so what should the course of action be here?
openBest way to create a large Relationship Voice Actor page? Anime
The voice actresses for In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki are slowly being announced (one actress a day for the next 5 weeks or so), so I'm creating a Relationship Voice Actor page for the anime.
The problem is... there are about thirty-eight characters for this show and of the six voice actresses already announced as of today, five of them share quite a lot of roles with one another, and keeping track of everything is, quite frankly, driving me insane.
What's the best way to keep what I already have written organized better?

Edited by ILoveAnimeopen Leg-rings/Arm-rings Anime
I see it everywhere on many many characters: a broad brass or steel leg-ring - always on the thigh. [Examples: Patricia Wagon in "Mighty Switch Force" / Shia Has in "Irresponsible Captain Tylor"]. There are others. Sometimes the ring is on the upper arm. I guess it's to signify that this lady is kick-ass, dangerous, handy with a whip ... or similar. I think I've even seen variations of Wonder Woman with this detail. The thing is - these would be worse than useless. There are MUSCLES inside that arm or leg, and said muscles need to contract ... but hey - there's this f*king great RING there! So either kickass-actiongirl is constantly half-crippled by this thing, or it falls off the moment she relaxes that set of muscles. In real life they'd be heavy, pointless, crippling or requiring her to constantly tug the ridiculous thing back into place 93 times and hour. Is there a trope for this specific piece of costume idiocy? Or does it fall under a more general heading? I've tried and tried to find anything on it. Nope. (Or I'm not smart enough to figure it out.) Thanks Tropers!
Anyway, I'd love to see it appropriately jeered at.

I want to do one for Love Hina but I can't find any way to do it.
