Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Ask the Tropers is for:
- General questions about the wiki, how it works, and how to do things.
- Reports of problems with wiki articles, or requests for help with wiki articles.
- Reports of misbehavior or abuse by other tropers.
Ask the Tropers is not for:
- Help identifying a trope. See TropeFinder.

Alright, a LOT of the Adventure Time page and its various subpages, particularly Fridge and Radar pages need some serious clean-up. Could I get some help? Massive pages, pretty massive job

What's the best way to deal with these two entries filed under They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot in UltimateSpider-Man YMMV page?
-The first episode has Norman Osborn angry at Doctor Octopus and the Frightful Four, whom he hired, due to attacking a high school, where his son is, seeming to legitimately care. The show drops this character trait by "Back In Black".
-There have been several missed opportunities for Doc Ock vs Green Goblin.
Because in the first case, "The Iron Octopus" (a late season one episode that happens after "Back In Black") has Norman going back to his neglectful but caring persona. He can be shown protecting Harry when the Iron Man armor shows up to attack and shows concern when Ock captures his son. And a season two episode, "Second Chance Hero" has him trying to be more involved in his son's life.
As for the second case, we do get Goblin vs Ock in the form of Eviler than Thou and Curb-Stomp Battle. Long story short, any time those two are pitted against each other, Goblin pretty much kicks Ock's ass in a very short "battle" of sorts.
I'm thinking of deleting and adding notes when I do, but I rather not start a Edit War. Would it be better to add justifying notes, or would deleting them be fine?

A troper called Trisha keeps on removing the example "Manchild" for Spongebob and Patrick in the SpongeBob SquarePants page, despite me saying that it fits. I want to edit it, but I don't want to start an edit war. She also keeps removing it on the ManChild.Western Animation subpage.

Backerup123
has now deleted the examples from Recap. My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic S 4 E 5 Flight To The Finish for the second time, without edit reason both times.

A user named Darthkoolguy continues to promote his blog ("The Newt Cave") in the Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. page with his own quotes and complaints.
It's getting to the point where he's posting multiple links in each edit, and I have to undo them all.

honorio78's edit reason on YMMV.The Legend Of Korra is rather rude.

So I was making a liveblog where I was going to do blind watches of Strawberry Shortcake episodes, but the editing doesn't work properly and reverts to the previous version, plus I've had problems trying to link it to the page. I want to delete this liveblog and start a new one from scratch as the flag is malfunctioning and it's basically crashing and burning. I also deleted the installment in disgust since it won't fix the mistakes.
And extra pointers on these would be nice, too, just so I don't make the same mistake again.

Requesting reversion of Idae's most recent edit on Fridge. The Legend Of Korra. I think he was trying to re-folderize the page so we didn't have just two massive folders, but he duplicated parts of it or something, and I don't know how to parse it all. Doubleposting from the page's mod holler box.

Apparently in March 2013, a certain "BubbleBathJones" removed plenty of examples from PeripheryDemographic.Western Animation, without giving an explanation in the edit summary. Some of these have since returned to the page, but could someone please check in the history section which still need restoring? Please also tell me if he/she has already received proper scolding and/or punishing. Scroll down on the history page to 25th Mar '13 9:32:22 PM to see the deleted text.

Question, if a work is categorized in "Web Animation", and you want to add it to add it to a trope that's been broken up into one page each for Film, TV, Literature, etc., do you put it under "Web Original", "Western Animation" (assuming it falls under that category), or create a new page specific for "Web Animation?"
Specifically, I want to start putting out wicks for Bee and Puppycat but not sure where they should go in this case.

There's a page I came across where I'm not sure how to handle it.
The Governator, a show that was to be about a fictionalized version of Arnold Schwarzenegger as a Bruce Wayne/Batman type superhero. However, the show itself never made it to the air, due to a personal scandal involving AS. Should the old version be returned and cleaned up for Examples Are Not Recent issues, or just zap the new one as a stub (albeit with 63 inbounds, so the Cut List is out)?
The problem is that the current version of the page isn't the original one. The old one has a lot more tropes, but it was based solely on promotional materials, with a lot of "seems like", "appears", and so forth.
I checked the directory for ongoing project threads
but didn't see anything that seemed like it would be an appropriate place to bring this issue up.

Another issue from the "New Pages" topic: Someone named 300154507
has created two pages for apparently non-existent works in the Ben 10 franchise, Ben 10 Enter Precure and Ben 10 Chaos Darkness - both stubs in the wrong namespace, I shall add.
What's more, they made the latter page after Ben 10 Chaos Rising was cut and I messaged them that they could repost it in the right namespace - instead, they created a new page under Chaos Darkness which links to 'Chaos Rising's still existing character page, which makes me think it's a repost of the Chaos Rising page.
Does someone know what is going on here?

A troper called Peach Perfect deleted a lot of things on the YMMV page for Family Guy for no reason here.

Can I get some editors to keep an eye on troper Enya? They've been adding information about a nonexistant episode of Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks to several pages, and I would like to ensure that the misinformation not be restored. They've also been re-adding the material to Wikipedia anonymously.
If you see anything about "Throw-Up Gigglers", delete it on sight.

Might not be worth noting, but all edits of this account
so far are deleting My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic examples without edit reasons.

Could we get a mod to look at, and possibly revert the changes to The Legend Of Korra Enemies.
Someone went and spoilered every entry for a character, including the character's name on a folder. Now, they say it's because the character is a Walking Spoiler, but it isn't really since the character just comes out of nowhere (and the name would have NO significance until you see the episode where it's introduced... as a villainous character).
I opened a thread on the discussion page, but I figured this would be quicker and we'd lose less if it got reverted sooner.

On the Legend of Korra main page
Skylite keeps putting in an entry for Disappeared Dad.
Most recently, I had pulled it with a note saying I was moving it to Discussion and made a discussion thread, but he readded it without posting on Discussion.
But hey, it's not about Mako, right?

Someone removed the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic entries from BrokenAesop.Western Animation. I am asking here whether these examples are applicable or not.
