Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.

Would "semi-averted" actually be subverted? From Car Cushion:
- Semi-averted: In the TV series of House Of Cards, Matty Storin falls off a roof onto a car and dies, but her dead body shows no signs of damage, and neither does the car.

Can someone talk to Strix Obscuro about not adding ZCE in his new pages? While they are a minority of added examples, I've talked several times to them (over several pages they made in December and January) over this and they don't stop - see for example Sirens (US)'s bottom three examples.

Could someone look at the Quantum Leap entry on Dirty Old Man? I think some of the speculative reasoning should be cut, but I'm only marginally familiar with the series. (Off again, on again watcher at best when it was on TV.)

Where in the world the examples of Live-Action TV of Gondor Calls for Aid are? The page was split -not that many examples / characters in the first place- and now there is no trace of them, and the article history shown is not deep enough to help with the issue

Borderline edit war on the YMMV.How I Met Your Mother page. Here

This new account's
only edits are to remove YMMV items with the edit reason "Previous edit of the post was prejudiced and therefore inaccurate. Information should be fact-based only rather than based on personal opinion."
It might be another one of our shipping wonks.

A little question about the Franchise.Battlestar Galactica page. From a look at it, it is a mere disambiguation page, not a true Franchise page. I think it has been said a franchise needs at least three different mediums to qualify, and here all links are toward TV series. Should it be in Main/ and tagged as disambiguation?

Should I, or someone else, post notices about plagiarism on the wiki about works (and I'm not talking about LimboOfTheLost the obvious)? I relate to this story
about Agents Of SHIELD being caught using art assets from Mass Effect without Bio Ware's permission.

Not to harp on this troper too much, but someone needs to have a chat with JIKTV about some of his habits and editing styles. Specifically;
- De-wicking links to other pages after the very first instance of it on a page, no matter what the context is. Specifically on any Professional Wrestling page he goes around and removes links to other pages on the wiki after the first one, which removes the convenience factor of just clicking the link to go to another page if something in a trope example catches your eye.
- Adding subpages to the Sugar Wiki pages for Professional Wrestling. Yes it makes it more organised, but literally half of the page length for Professional Wrestling are links to subpages, and what's worse is that a lot of those subpages only have one or two examples to them and really don't have the justification to be their own subpage. And he hasn't even ordered the wicks to the subpages at all, they literally appear to be on the page in whatever order they were created in.
- More of a pet peeve than anything (so feel free to ignore), he changes the "This work provides examples of" to some play on the work's title, catchphrase, etc. etc. Really just a nitpicky thing to bring up, but I wanted to get to three dot points and it's literally on every page he's touched.
Before anyone asks no I haven't dropped a PM to them and in fact I won't; after the last major problem with JIKTV resulted in them dropping a lot of unsolicited PMs to my account harassing me over reverting their Single-Issue Wonk I made it clear I don't want to talk to them again in that matter. It'd probably be better if somebody else who isn't on bad terms with them do it.
I'll note that after the threat of being permanently banned was given to them JIKTV has never repeated old mistakes and only needs to be told once whenever they do something wrong, and they have single-handedly added more to Professional Wrestling pages than anyone else. They just have more than a few bad habits which affect readability.

Further proving I'm clueless, I'm trying to figure out how to do the redirect thing with Legit and label it under "Series". I have no clue how to do that.

I was looking at the reality tv show tropes, when I realsied that they didn't have one for where all of the eliminated people come back for the finale. Could someone make this happen? I'm new to tv tropes so I don't know were this goes, thanks!

In The Walking Dead TV Show: Hershel's Farm Survivors (character subpage for The Walking Dead show) there's some disagreement regarding what is and isn't to be spoilered. I suppose it technically counts as an Edit War, but it's been mostly subdued as far as intarwebz raeg goes so I haven't exactly been itching to report it.
However, in the latest step of the saga, Gregzilla has not only uncommented season 4 spoiler tropes, but put them up with the trope titles spoilered, in violation of Handling Spoilers.
I know there's a thread about spoilers, but I don't know if this issue is something that should be brought up there or not. Personally I'd be fine with just cutting the problem children completely as mentioned on Handling Spoilers, but without a staffer ruling on the subject it will, to borrow from Rick in the s3 episode "Philadelphia", "not end well". :P

I moved a Boardwalk Empire
character from one category to another because his change of "camp" constitutes a season 4 spoiler by itself and is generally agreed not to do that for the current/last aired season out of courtesy in the indexes (like with the houses in Game of Thrones, where allegiances are spoilers and it was discussed that moving them around under their master houses defeats the purpose of the categories in the first place), so anyway I put the character in another
factually correct and less revealing category. All with edit reasons and all, but editor Mickey Doyle
, who moved the character there
in the first place, has reverted the correction without any edit reason or discussion whatsoever.
So It's up to me to sort it out? (It's a bit painful to articulate P Ms with people who don't use edit reasons, he should be the one justifying the changes, perhaps you can help me out here) Maybe this informal courtesy is not really sanctioned and characters pages can be spoilers-off.

Requesting reversion on the Awesome.Doctor Who page. Finister2 changed the folders from each season to each Doctor. That means that instead of having 30+ folders that might each be a bit too long, we have 11 folders which are each definitely too long.

added the following to Characters.Blue Bloods:
- Chaotic Good Guys Do the Dirty Work: He has a reputation for bending the rules and using the occasional Jack Bauer Interrogation Technique. This sometimes gets him tapped for high-stakes jobs even by those who would never use such methods themselves.
The listing combines Chaotic Good, which is banned from work pages unless canonical, with potholing a trope as a different title.

Hm... While he does prove a point in Go-Busters being labeled the Black Sheep of Tokusatsu, do you think May Incon's edits
are... good?
I ask because I'm not sure myself.
