Is the Mod Holler still the place to ask for discussion pages to be moved?
I have asked three times already (within weeks of interval) for a series of discussion to be moved following a big clean-up in recap pages names, but nothing has been done yet.

My niece has gotten me into Supernatural a bit and, since I'm a spoiler hound, I've been looking at the recaps. And something I'm regularly seeing is nearly every episode recap are links to The Bechdel Test & Deggans Rule, stating whether the episode passed or failed.
This isn't typical of any recap pages I've read in the past. Should those entries even be there or should they be removed?

Of course the site began with focusing on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Well it seems like this has come full circle if you look at Season 10-4 of the comics, which opens with discussion on tropes, the Dark!Willow trope in particular which is something of a Running Gag.
I'm not entirely sure how rare referring to something as a trope is but I feel like we have gotta put this somewhere.

I am a bit confused by the fact that the Creator.Adam West and SelfDemonstrating.Adam West pages are absolutely identical. Is there a point?

Is there any rule which states that images have to be right aligned? The house emblems on the Game of thrones character pages have been left aligned since the start of the page, havent they?

Over at the Game of Thrones S4E9: "The Watchers on the Wall" recap page we have troper mfarah ignoring a request to bring a contentious example to the discussion page and continuing to edit war. To give history to this; I thought the Idiot Ball examples were wrong for a variety of reasons listed in the edit reason and deleted them initially, mfarah added them back in with an edit reason responding with some arguments that weren't convincing. I commented them all out and pulled it to the discussion page, where the verdict was universally to cut them. mfarah just uncommented them without even looking at the discussion page.
Can a mod step in so this doesn't devolve into a full-out edit war? As it stands myself, Troll Brutal, Larkman and Hodor all weighed in on the discussion page and supported cutting it, mfarah is the only one pushing to keep them and can't be bothered to bring it to discussion.

As many of you would know Barack Obama had traded five Taliban leaders for an American prisoner, only for it to turn out that he had turned traitor. Would this be appropriate for Home Land?
- Art Imitates Life: The rescue of a American soldier only for him to be a terrorist became real in 2014 with the trade Barack Obama made to release five Taliban leaders for one American prisoner, who was later revealed to have defected with the terrorist group releasing video of the soldier training with them.
I don't say this as an attack on the president, quite the opposite it must really suck for him. If he did the trade he placed America at risk, if he didn't he's heartless and some critics would have been just waiting for an excuse to attack him no matter what he did.

Mmmmh... anybody would have the slightest idea why the folders on WhatCouldHaveBeen.Live Action TV are not working? I've checked and re-checked the code, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

Might need a mod to step in here. We've got what's getting close to an edit war on YMMV.Game Of Thrones about someone going over the Moral Event Horizon. It's been added and removed a few times, and there is discussion on the discussion page.
It basically boils down to one side saying "well, he crossed it for me" and the other saying "that's not really bad enough to count as MEH."
Thoughts?

I'm watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel again and currently on part of the Faith storyline. I'm really hung up on her being a rapist, researching the reaction to the Bed Trick for example, and I just wanted to check with those who would look through my edit history, am I too hung up on it? It's something that rather creeps me out and if I see somewhere where it could be brought up I go for it, but should I dial it back a little?

Why the hell does The Big Bang Theory need to have separate pages for tropes present in each individual season? Why is that necessary for this show, but not others?

A bit belated, but Grumpy Old Man is living up to his name a little too well on the YMMV pages for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager. He flipped out a little on me and another troper's edits there back in April. I talked with him over PM over my edits, but seeing his ranting edit reasons on VOY's page as well makes me think someone should have a word with him.

Hi all,
Need advice - what trope should I use when describing a character as a "vital witness" in a legal case, eg someone (and only that person) who holds evidence that can alter the fate of another character? It's not Surprise Witness in this case, because they are not a surprise (!) - any thoughts? Thanks, Lex

I'm having an edit war issue on the recap page Game of Thrones S4E3: "Breaker of Chains". One "snake300" continues to change the final line of the recap to include speculation on the internal thought process of the character. I have explained to him in the edit notes and in private message that as we are not privy to the internal thoughts of characters, where there is dispute about what those internal thoughts are, we should confine ourselves to describing what we actually see and hear onscreen in the main recap section, and confine speculation to Alternative Character Interpretation or any number of other tropes in the example section. He has not responded in any way other than to change the line back to his interpretation of events.
It's a minor point, but a frustrating one. I'd appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

Why is Gotham locked? I wanted to start a works page on the 2014 tv show.

This was mentioned in passing by a commenter on a ykttw but I'd like a definitive ruling. Does a Made-for-TV Movie example get listed under "Film" or "Live Action TV?" The commenter (whose name escapes me, as does the ykttw it was commented in) said Film but that doesn't make sense to me - it was made FOR TV so I'd think it'd go under TV.

I may be misunderstanding "Rule of Cool." Before I make note of this on the page, can someone steer me right?
Happy Days is mentioned under Rule of Cool, but only in the sense that Fonzie can get a vending machine to work by hitting it with his fist. What I'm thinking of is, when another character in another show says a line and it's dorky, and everybody thinks, "What an idiot." But if Fonzie says exactly the same thing, it's no longer dorky or idiot, but cool.
I saw this happen in contrast to a Gilligan's Island episode. Gilligan was caught in some kind of mess, but Skipper and Professor wouldn't buy his lame excuses as he offered them one by one. Finally he didn't know what else to say and came out with, "OK, I'm open to suggestions." Yeah, stupid Gilligan, right? But exactly the same gag played out on Happy Days, with Fonzie delivering Gilligan's lines right down to "OK, I'm open to suggestions," when he ran out of excuses, and Fonzie was thought to be cool. Is this Rule of Cool, or something else?

Can we get a Mod Note on Characters. How I Met Your Mother to not spoiler tag trope titles? I've had to delete the same thing at least three times now
.
Not sure it would help, since the last one was also a ZCE and there already is a mod note saying no ZC Es.

The How I Met Your Mother ending.
As some of you know, a lot of fans have been taking their outrage out on the site, and without dropping spoilers with every reason to. As a veteran of the Mass Effect 3 wars this looks to make Normandy and the Hundred Year War about as big as the Battle of Waterloo. Some of us have been civil, some not so much. I fully support people to rage as much as they can rage but I would also be interested for staff input. Are we using the tropes on it the right way? Is discussion in the forum too heated?
Thankfully most fans are in agreement and those who are not we can talk to in a reasonable manner. I guess more than anything it might be worth looking at so as to have a preemptive strike if things are going too far.

Tsundere San has problems with indexing and Zero Context Examples - after I messaged them over both issues on Chasing Life, they made the same exact errors again on Chasing Life.
