I want to try out a suggestion for the russian translation subsite/namespace. To do this, I'd need to Custom Title the page of Alexander Pushkin to his name's original spelling (Александр Сергеевич Пушкин) for a week or two, however.

A few weeks ago, I cleaned up Determinator.Real Life. Yesterday, a troper named Dommie222 has re-added the following example, which I had deleted (similarly worded) when I cleaned up the page:
- * Muammar al-Gaddafi. he faced both a rebel army and the might of the air forces of NATO, and he simply refused to give up his power over Libya to anybody. You've to respect the man for his determination and fighting spirit, whatever if you supported him or not.

Entry is 'Not Sure' because there's no entry for 'tabletop games'.
A few days ago, I thought of a possible addition to the 'Law of Chromatic Superiority' entry for Warhammer 40K. I'm thinking it's significant to a trope of some sort, maybe a 'Veteran Squad' sort of thing, but I'm not quite sure what to put it under, as it doesn't really fit either of those tropes.
The example in question is the tendency of Space Marines of any Legion from Warhammer 40K to gain studs in their forehead according to the number of years they've been in the service of the Emperor. Any ideas as to where this should go?

My anti-virus program has blocked several "malicious toolkits" while I browse this site. It doesn't seem to be focused on any one page (these "toolkits" have been blocked from the Moe page to Not Always Right), and I want to know...is anyone else getting these messages from their anti-virus programs?

Noticed this weird Garfield-based entry pimping from calvin 2 x 4
. Believe they changed the picture on Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist without discussion. Also, I think at least twice, they've described Garfield as a "Type VI" villain protagonist- which doesn't even exist on the Sliding Scale Of Anti Heroes- see their edit to Villain Protagonist for illustration.
I guess Garfield is the new Mr. Krabbs.
Edit- The troper does have a fair amount of decent edits. Kind of a pet peeve of mine though when people see humorous characters in g-rated works as evil.

Somebody just changed Transsexual into a redirect to a new Useful Notes page called Transgender. As far as I can determine, this was done completely unilaterally, and eliminates an entire page that considerable time and effort had gone into.
The new Useful Notes page actually does look pretty useful, but didn't require the destruction of a pre-existing page, and more important, it seems to have been done with no prior discussion. If there was any, it's extremely well-hidden. Transsexual is one of the pages I regularly monitor, and I've seen no hint of something like this being in the works until today.

The Trope Renaming Guidelines have been left open for editing recently, presumably for the purpose of obvious tweaks that don't need discussion (typos etc). Xzenu recently added a bit involving All Gays Are Pedophiles for "clarification".
It struck me as odd for someone to use something so controversial as an example on a guideline page, so I looked up "All Gays Are Pedophiles" in the forums and, yep, there's Xzenu, being hotly involved in a debate about exactly this
, four months ago.
This isn't some horrible violation, but I think that people starting to use the guidelines as a way to explain how they were totally right in that one thread from four months ago is our cue to re-lock that page.
EDIT: Xzenu has replied on the history page (using an edit reason).

I'm trying to create a YKTTW. Creation, successful. Got a response. Cool.
Went to edit— Changes not saved. Weird. Tried again. No joy. Tried alternate web browser. No joy. Tried alternate computer. No joy. Tried alternate internet connection (also with different computer and browser). No joy. Tried editing a comment I made in the thread. No problems whatsoever.
What am I missing here? I'd like to click edit for the YKTTW and actually edit it, not look like I'm just spastically bumping my first entry in a sad attempt to keep it at the top. :(

It was decided that examples of Intended Audience Reaction require conformation from the author about what audience reaction they were going for. The problem is that close to none of the examples are confirmed by creator. So, it is ok to delete them?

On White Devil of the Moon, I think we have a troper known as Comartemis expressing his greivences with a story on the main work page, where it would be more suited for a review of the work. Are his edits valid?

A new troper, Abare Abra, has been going around deleting Spotlight-Stealing Squad examples from trope YMMV pages. Was there something changed with that trope I'm not aware of?

Do second-level example subpages get indexed on the trope page, their first-level subpage or both? Complete Monster has some unindexed subpages and I was wondering where to start.

On the Mon Colle Knights page, there is a troper named dal0525 who keeps editing away negative opinions about the dubbed version of the show, even in the YMMV section. They also keep replacing some instances of the original characters names with the dub names, leaving the article to look inconsistent.
How can I handle this without it evolving into an edit war?

I've got an issue with another troper who has been hassling me intermittently for a long time now. The troper is Larfleeze. Following a dispute on an edit, Larfleeze threatened to revert me for breaking the rules, I've decided to report him first.
He and I first crossed paths at Bully quite some time ago, over a year at least. After a disagreement there, he decided - and stated in an edit summary - that I was a "bad troper who needed to be watched" (not an exact quote). So he would follow me around and argue with me whenever I used a disputed trope (this started before YMMV subpages). There's still some stuff on Characters/Bully that survived the last history purge, you can see him doing that condescension routine (e.g. "please try and understand") to me on there in the history page. Although his condescension not withstanding I was eventually able to prove myself right.
But that's the history part.
I hadn't heard from him for a long time. But a couple days ago I removed an entry from Professional Wrestling that was wrong from top to bottom. A bit snappishly I called it "fanboy nonsense" in the edit summary. I was promptly reverted by Larfleeze, who left an edit summary "You do not get to revert subjective entries especially when you insult the person who added them on."
The thing is, an admin comment at the top of the page says "if it's wrong, just remove it".
I reverted him, he reverted me with an edit summary threatening to report me, I reverted him again (putting us at 2 reverts each for what it's worth) and came here.
Honestly, I know I was on the uncivil side with my edit summary, but having a self-appointed parole officer who doesn't know as much as he thinks he does is irksome, and that's putting it mildly.

A question about the site itself. How do we make Headscratcher, WMG and Fridge pages for series that don't have them yet?
