openIs Jeff the Killer in the public domain? What about other creepypastas besides the Fear Mythos? Web Original
I was wondering if Jeff is copyrighted since Creepypasta Files Wikia
says that Jeff belongs to Sessuer, yet a lot of people say that, besides the image of unknown origin, he has no confirmed author. I'm asking because I was thinking on including him on the Public Domain Character page.
I was also wondering if there are other creepypastas with no defined author or purposely put in the PD like the fears from The Fear Mythos and The Rake.

So I submitted a video example for "Body Sled" on Tuesday, and it still is awaiting review today. How long does it take till a video example is reviewed?
openNew Media Page Web Original
Hey, I just made a new Media Page for the Youtube creator, Pointy Hat. It can be found here:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WebVideo/PointyHat
It's very bare-bones right now, and I don't have time to edit the whole thing so would anybody like to help? I already started the Main Page, as well as a Nightmare Fuel Page, but I want there to be a Funny Page as well.
Thanks!

I've noticed that there are a few moments pages for youtube series (mostly funny moments) where some of the moments listed are comments on one of their videos instead of anything from the video itself. Wouldn't those technically count as meta moments, or at least not count as actual content from the show itself?
Edited by AfterwordopenQuestion about Princess The Hopeful Supplementary Courts Web Original
I found a link with more fanmade Twilight Queens but i don't know where to add them on the Supplementary Courts Page
the fansplat section says not to add things that aren't on the Main Web Page. Should i add them to the Dusk Queens section or add another section altogether and if so what should i name it?
openHow should I handle spoilering on my page? Web Original
Self-explanatory. I want to put ROYN as an example of media that uses certain tropes in their respective pages, but the format of the series makes it hard to handle this, so how should I handle this?
Edited by GammaRaulopenWeird example Web Original
I don't know if there's a better thread for this kind of thing, but Funny.Caddicarus Main Season 15 has an entry that I find is worded questionably. One moment listed is a bit from the video "The Demonic World of Disney PS 1 Games" that was removed from the video and replaced with an alternate bit shortly after it came out due to possibly being offensive, which is then followed by the revised version. However, the second one is prefaced with the following:
- However, some fans took it the wrong way and Caddy edited the joke out to avoid further controversy. Fortunately, the joke that replaces it is just as hilarious: (emphasis mine)
There has been some argument over whether the original joke was bad enough to be worth censoring, but I feel that regardless of whether you think it was offensive or not, implying that the people who were offended by it are in the wrong isn't exactly the greatest look.
openToo much info added to entry? Web Original
A few days ago, I added an entry to RoleEndingMisdemeanor.Web Original regarding Chuggaaconroy. I didn't watch Chugga, but I was aware of the situation and felt an entry on him fit, I tried to make a neutral writeup
.
A few days later, ANewEnigma lengthened the entry significantly. However, it is now a two paragraph wall of text with a lot of information that could either be shortened or cut. Some of the information seems awkward as well - for example, it mentions him being part of The Runaway Guys at the start, implying he was known primarily from that (from what I know, Chugga was already well known beforehand), links to the tweets from his friends cutting ties with him (is that allowed?), and removes the links to Nintendo Capri Sun and Proton Jon despite them having pages already.
What should I do here?
Edited by SkylaNoivernopenDistinction between JeepersMedia and The Toy Channel? Web Original
Hi, everyone. I have an example of a trope I want to put on Jeepers Media, but I'm unsure if it belongs there because the example is from a video from the secondary channel, The Toy Channel. Both channels are run by the same guy, but all of the tropes on the page seem to be about JeepersMedia specifically. Should I add examples from The Toy Channel, or is that not good? Thanks in advance.
openMove "We'll Be Right Back" to Web Video Namespace? Web Original
I mean, it is an Analog Horror series on YouTube after all...
openRestore Ranboo's page Web Original
Let's Play.Ranboo was cut because of many tropes on the page that bring the creator troping and generally not following guidelines. Now, I have a few tropes that could come from his VTuber avatar, lore, and skits from his recent streams. I'll spend a while revamping and reworking it to keep up with recent times.
openWork page that misrepresents/sanitizes creator Web Original
WebVideo.Overlord DVD is... weird.
From the page's description and tropes, it sounds like a campy, skit-based review show. It is instead, by and large, someone spouting up complaints, made up rumors, and outright lies about properties he doesn't like with the framing device of being a supervillain.
I do think it's tropeable to some extent in that the lore and theatricality is there, but completely glossing over the fact that the videos are just straight "news" and primarily exist to promote a culture war is weird.
I brought it up in the Works that Promote Bigotry Thread
but I thought I'd post it here since A: That thread is very slow and B: the issue of a work being misrepresented may be a broader discussion.
opennew here and a little nervous about editing... Web Original
Hi! Long time lurker but I just got an account, and honestly a large part of the reason I did was because I was really bothered by some aspects of the Inanimate Insanity page and wanted to fix them—namely, a lot of the ways Cabby is described. If you're familiar with the show, you're probably aware that toward the beginning of the season she's introduced many fans saw her in a manipulative light, but as her story progressed things have come to light about her that make her more sympathetic. Problem is, it seems much of her character page, as well as other places she's mentioned, haven't been updated since, and while it would have been understandable back then, now it just seems in poor taste to call her manipulative. However, there would have to be some pretty drastic upheaval (just look at her character page! it's so negative!) and I'm worried my own biases in the other direction would show through.
(Also, I know it's silly since the point is for these pages to be accurate and up to date, but I feel a little bad tearing someone's hard work making that page to shreds.)
Would any more experienced tropers be willing to help me out in updating it?

openTroper with an Agenda Web Original
About a year and a half ago, I noticed that II Test Tube Fan had been editing the various subpages on Battle for Dream Island attempting to paint Two as if they were an irredeemable monster, despite the show not presenting them as such. This included adding a nondescript Complete Monster entry without going through the suggestion thread and editing out factual tropes on their character folder and replacing them with negative bias tropes. This had slowed down as of recent, but then I noticed them on the Image Suggestion Thread trying to suggest an image for the Nightmare Fuel page that's very nondescript and reliant on context, and with the context of the episode, it's still pushing an agenda against Two. Can they be reached out to about this repeated pattern?
Edited by RWBYraikou888openIs Our Drawings movie bad enough for us to make an example for So Bad, It's Horrible page? Web Original
Exactly What It Says on the Tin. So I heard that Our Drawings movie is bad because of the animation quality, bad and nonsensical writing, and how the creator (who is a Youtuber) couldn't handle any criticism. And it sounds bad enough to me that I kinda want to make an example for it on So Bad, It's Horrible. Agree or not? If not, let me know the reason why.

Content Warning for abuse, in case anyone needs that.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Bearded Expense, a regular guest in Ethan's videos, has gained quite a small following outside of Sound's videos thanks to his very specific on-screen personality.
- BeardedExpense can be a terrifying Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant when he wants to be. "the overmind", anyone?
- BeardedExpense can be a terrifying Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant when he wants to be. "the overmind", anyone?
The edit reason is "Due to controversy mentioned in Harsher in Hindsight, I do not think it is appropriate to paint Bearded Expense in a positive light on Sound Smith's (a victim of his) page." While I don't like the guy either, I think it's a bit much to remove the trope entries entirely due to out-of-universe drama.
I'm considering restoring the second example and re-writing the first to remove the chained potholes and adding an acknowledgement that he's not this trope anymore:
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Bearded Expense, a guest in older videos, has gained quite a following thanks to his recognizable and hilarious personality (involving lots of NO INDOOR VOICE and Refuge in Audacity). This viewpoint, however, has since dropped off following real-life controversy from Bearded.
Is this OK to do?

Hey, I’m thinking of making a media page for either Thorgi’s arcade, or the fakemon creator tubz_az on instagram. How would I make a page in general?
