openBareMidriffsAreFeminine Anime
Since Bare Your Midriff is now a disambig, I tried to adding a fitting trope to the Pretty Cure regarding characters that show their midriffs. I tried to add Bare Midriffs Are Feminine (which I think it might be a fitting trope that fit for characters who showed their midriff) but Mad About Love 97 states that it did not fit.
Edited by TheBlitzerz97openThe pokemon folder removed from Surprisingly realistic outcome. Anime
Surprisingly Realistic Outcome has gone through a number of changes to both clarify what it's about and to remove natter and zero context examples from the page. There used to be a folder for Pokemon but it appears it was deleted. When did this happen? There were enough examples to at least have the examples moved to either the video game or anime & manga folder...
Edited by NKgameropenRenaming "Ronin Warriors" to "Samurai Troopers" Anime
I would like to propose that the page for the anime "Ronin Warriors" and all entries relating to it to the original title of "Samurai Troopers", along with associated character names. Simple reason being that as of the recent Blu-Ray release, the official translation of the title is "Legendary Armory Samurai Troopers", and that outside of franchise entries carrying the title specifically, "Saint Seiya" is not referred to as "Knights of the Zodiac".
openPage for Kyojin no Hoshi? Anime
Of the Ikki Kajiwara works, only two of them have pages; Tomorrow's Joe and Tiger Mask. Should we create a page for his famous baseball manga, Kyojin no Hoshi? There's a tropepedia page for it, which begs the question of how much changing is required to make a page for it here.

Superchan 6464 is insulting the reviewer for his taste in media. He likely also flagged the review even though it's fine.
openAnime index too long Anime
Working on the namespace migration of Patlabor and the Anime index threw the alert that the page was too long. Might be time to drop indexing of the entire medium and sort everything into the subpages.
openSubverted Trope as a trope example Anime
- Subverted Trope: In "Camping Alone", Sakura goes to the grocers and has to choose between deer meat and bears' paws. She Googles how to prepare bears' paws, and the show starts one of its folksy interludes where the narrator explains some off-beat dish to the audience. When she realises it takes nine hours and requires meticulously plucking every single hair off the paw, the quaint soundtrack warps into a dissonant wail and the narrator's voice speeds up until he squeaks like a chipmunk. It cuts to Sakura just asking for deer meat.
Subverted Trope isn't supposed to be used as a trope example. Are there any tropes around that fit this text or is it okay to just remove?
openCode Geass edit war Anime
A while back, Reddishguy 1 added this entry to the YMMV page for Code Geass under Unintentionally Unsympathetic:
- Britannians like Cornelia and Jeremiah who are shown to be especially racist towards the Japanese are implied to have had their racism prompted by Lelouch and Nunnally's disappearance in Japan (and the belief they were lynched by the Japanese at some point during Britannia's invasion), and are made out to be somewhat sympathetic because of it. The issue here being that, even if Lelouch and Nunnally were actually killed by Japanese people, it would still be wrong to generalize the entire population of Japan based on that, much less murder and oppress countless men, women and children for it.
The entry was recently deleted by Rebel Falcon with an edit reason explaining why it didn't fit, but Reddishguy 1 added it back anyway saying he didn't accept that reasoning.
Edited by Javertshark13openFanfiction Recommendations 2023 How To? Anime
I wish to add a recommendation to the My Hero Academia Crossover Fics page. I am aware that I'm supposed to use a certain template for it, that's not the problem. The problem is I don't know where to ADD/PUT the template. It isn't like there's a submit or add recommendation button. And if there is I can't find it. I'm kinda new here, thought it'd be easier to figure out.
openNarm trope Anime
Is it okay to put a description like "Many of this character's moments become Narm due to the way they're animated/portrayed", or does it have to be a specific moment you put as the trope?
Edited by Okami90openI want to add to make a trope page for my MHA fanfic, how do I go about doing that? Anime
Exactly what it says on the tin. How do I go about adding a page for my fanfiction on the My Hero Academia fanworks page?
openHighly Interpretative show being made to have one Interpretation? Anime
Weird title, but the main character page of Revolutionary Girl Utena
seems to be sort of give a very firm interpretation of the actions of the antagonist Akio in what is otherwise a show that is full of symbolism. Which is to say, he is firmly described as sleeping with hundreds of students, but unless I'm misrembering things, it's at most sort of implied?
Elsewhere, it seems that the pages say that whenever Akio takes characters for a ride in his car, he is literally having sex with them, as opposed to the cat just being a metaphor for sex.
I don't know, it just seems to me that for a show in which the creator is described as saying all interpretations are true, the pages here seem to communicate very firm interpretations.
openIs this a misuse of Damsel Scrappy? Anime
In this entry for the YMMV page for Yashahime
, Damsel scrappy is used as follows.
- Damsel Scrappy: Rin can come off as this by this sequel as much of her purpose in Inuyasha relied on her having to be saved by either Sesshomaru or other characters, and she even got resurrected from death twice. While more justified in the original series as she was just a small child, in Yashahime, Rin has been cursed and placed in a tree for 14+ years to keep her safe, and much of the plot revolves around her being trapped there and if she can be saved, while Inuyasha and Kagome apparently got sealed away solely to keep them from inadvertently killing her. The fact that Rin never got the opportunity to be a character on her own but has basically been reduced to a plot device that has to be saved yet again at the heavy cost of other beloved characters can really wear on the patience for those who either don't care for her or feel the potential of what her character could have been has been entirely wasted.
I understand from the trope description that audiences are supposed to feel no sympathy for the damsel's plight, but I haven't seen enough evidence of that in the fandom to justify an entry.
Edited by BornstellaropenJojo character pages edit Anime
Troper AM_NK has been adding the following header to all the Jojo Bizarre Adventure character pages in the last few hours.
See the following pages for these character-specific tropes:
- Adaptation Dye-Job
- Dub Name Change
- Famous Last Words
- Hate Sink
- Heart is an Awesome Power
- Jerkass
- Logical Weakness
- Nice Guy
- Story-Breaker Power
I think it doesn't really fit in. Anyone else agrees? Or what do you guys think? I don't even know if this is actually allowed, as I have never seen in on any other page, AFAIK the dropdown menu does enough in helping tropers browse through the multiple sections.
Edited by Edgar81539openOne Piece - hated overseas? Anime
There are a lot of pages on this site that say that One Piece is/was hated in America because A) the bad 4kids dub and B) it doesn't look like most anime, instead using a pseudo-western style. What? Over here, One Piece only gets criticized for how long it is. Other than that, it's very popular, with the recent Red film being released in major theaters and there being tons of merchandise for it, not to mention that it trends on American social media every time there's a new manga chapter or anime episode. Should I remove all the examples of Americans hating One Piece?

So I would like to create an article on an Anime series like Inukai San, but it got deleted, and so I would like to know how to make a page successful.
Like how to prevent my article from getting deleted.
