openTroper adding spaces to spoiler tags Literature
Readerbug819 edited Disney Chills solely to add spaces in the spoiler tags and the top quote, both of which seem unnecessary to me, and going by Text-Formatting Rules there shouldn't be spaces there.

Edited by lalalei2001resolved Formatting and Name Space for Chaos Timeline Literature
Hi, I was noticed that page Chaos Timeline has its tropes split into various categories such as Alternate History Tropes, General Tropes, Character Tropes, etc which is not something I've seen before and was wondering if this is something that should be changed to the more standard list of all tropes in one list?
Also, and I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I noticed that the work is in the Literature namespace, but appears to be a timeline on Alternate History.com, which takes the form of a series of forum posts, and I've noticed that most works of this variety are in the Web Original namespace. Should this work also be in the Web Original namespace?
openNantucket Trilogy Literature
Why was Nantucket Trilogy transformed into a redirect for Island in the Sea of Time? The latter is a book within the former series, not the other way around.
openmistress of the art of death Literature
Can I recreate the article for Mistress of the Art of Death? I found it on the mystery literature page but it had been redlinked, and the link said that I needed to ask for permission here to create it since it had been previously deleted for being a stub.
I already have at least 17 tropes lined up for the first book (including the redlinks it's left on other trope pages) and will add more as I work through the series. I'm currently halfway through the second book, Serpent's Tale, and if permission is granted I intend to trope all five books.

Hi! So, I’ve created a new page, but I don’t know how to add the ‘tropes’ section. Example: This work provides examples of: with the list of tropes under it. Another thing is, could I request my page to be edited for me? I’m new here. Thanks in advance! Here’s the link:

resolved Creating a page for an unofficial duology? Literature
I want to create a page(s) for two books I really enjoy, Wolf Winter and In the Month of the Midnight Sun, both by Cecilia Ekbäck. The two books both take place in the exact same setting (Blackasen Mountain) and cover similar themes, but other than that, share nothing with each other: they take place in completely different time periods with completely different casts with no callbacks whatsoever.
Given this, could they be considered a "series" (neither the publisher nor the author has ever described them as such as far as I have discovered) and share a Main page, or would they require two different ones?
If it is the former, what would I call it? Just "Wolf Winter" given it came first?
openIs there a procedure for renaming a Media page? Literature
I think that Son of the Black Sword should be renamed to Saga Of The Forgotten Warrior. The current page name is the title of the first book in the series while Saga of the Forgotten Warrior is the name of the series as a whole. Is there a procedure for requesting this? I tried searching but only found the procedure for suggesting a trope rename. If not I guess I'll put in a redirect as a temporary solution.
openCan I recreate the deleted page Magazine/RangerRick Literature
That's because the original page had no tropes and was only a description. I could add the tropes to this long-running magazine.
Edited by wingedcatgirlresolved Are name associate tropes a thing? Literature
In writing/character building, are there tropes associated with names?
For example, the name ‘Brock’ or ‘Chad’ could be associated with the stereotypical rich, frat boy characters. While “Jake” or ‘John’ with the big tough guy types ...i.e. ‘ big Jake’ / ‘big John’. ‘Biff’ & ‘Buffy’ with the affluent rich of the Californian Valley. If this is a thing, is there a list I can glean from?
openMaybe delete Literature/SufficientlyAnalyzedMagic ? Literature
Newbie here. I notice that Sufficiently Analyzed Magic is about an abandoned, incomplete web novel. Should we delete that article? What are the rules for this sort of thing?
resolved Trying to make my first page Literature
I'm trying to make a page for a work I like, but I don't get a lot of opportunities to work on it each day. Is it bad if I leave a page with no tropes or otherwise lacking for a period of time?
open Reusing existing stories Literature
I don't know if there is a name for it, but when a story either modernizes or just put a lot of stories together in a single one. Something like Sea of Monsters (book) has almost the same journey as the Odyssey, but in modern times. I don't remember the name, but I also seen someone talk about a story about two guys who travel and pass through Shakespeare stories, but all set in modern times and many with twists.
openWhen a top-of-page "Webcomic" link for a work points to the wrong work: How to fix? Literature
The page <https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Literature/Mort> has a "Webcomic" link at the top which points to the Webcomic entry <https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Webcomic/PvP?from=Webcomic.Mort> for the work "Pv P", which (at one time) was published under the name "Mort".
I presume the link on the first work was auto-generated because there was a "Mort" webcomic, technically, even it was an alias for an unrelated work, but it shouldn't be appearing on the first work's page. I've looked at the FAQ regarding redirections, but it's not exactly clear how to go about editing them (given that editing the first work's main page doesn't have a section for those types of redirects). The TV Tropes FAQ (<https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FAQ>) does mention editing redirects, but the instructions say to use the "title of the redirect" - what is this, exactly, and where can it be found, for the redirect buttons like "Webcomic"? Trying out <https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/wysiwyg_source_editor.php?groupname=Webcomic&title=Mort&load=source> doesn't allow me to kill the link from <https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Literature/Mort>, and neither does <https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/wysiwyg_source_editor.php?groupname=Literature&title=Mort&load=source>.
Would this be a disambiguation? In which case, what's the best way to go about it?
openWhere to put some LMM examples? Literature
Lucy Maud Montgomery's page has a few examples from the Chronicles of Avonlea books. It's specified that all examples from books that have their own pages don't count. The thing is, the Chronicles books are explicitly in the world of Anne of Green Gables, even if Anne only makes a few cameos. So what do we do? Option 1. Move the Chronicles examples from Maud's page to the Anne page and add a note to Maud's page listing all 11/12 (it's complicated) books in the Anne series, all three Emily books, etc. Option 2. Split off all miscellaneous Maud short stories into their own page, including the Chronicles books, preserving Maud's page for the authoress herself and recurring tropes only.

Could we possibly add the Chaos Walking series to Literature?
Edited by kitsunegari101open No Title Literature
The WMG page for Sword of Truth has become rife with Complaining About Shows You Don't Like. It's gotten to the point where over 90% of the page consists of this, and some of it is just pot shots against Terry Goodkind in WMG format. Can anything be done about this, or am I allowed to personally delete the offending entries as long as I justify it in my reason box?

Ok Folks I am looking for some other tropers who know about the series Death Lands and can add to the page. As it stands right now. I have gleaned a few random examples from around the site and the rest is from my reading the first novel. Any help fleshing out the page would be nice.

Anyone familiar with The Crystal Star feeling up to, well, fixing it up a bit? I've never read it myself, but there seems to be a consensus that it's pretty bad. However, the page's description really seems like a Take That! to the book, and doesn't provide much information other than that the page's writer thought that it was bad.

Has anyone else read the Ruby Oliver books by E. Lockhart? I couldn't find a page for them.
So I just noticed that the page for King Of The Dinosaurs: Tyrannosaurus Rex was cut. Can I try to recreate it and its other related pages if there are any. If so can I get the original page source, so I can have a base to start off of?
