openSherwood Forest Web Original
Question: Does Sherwood Forest really belongs in the Literature/ namespace, and the Web Original Fiction index, considering that it is basically a Robin Hood fanfiction?
In what way reusing some ancient myth makes it different to all the other fanfictions out there? I would see it belonging to the Fanfic/ namespace.
open Edit warring over including Deadpool on the MCU franchise page. Film
Alright, I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, but here it goes... There's been some controversy on the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise page regarding the addition of one untitled Deadpool film, which has been confirmed to be in early development by trades and anyone worth a damn. The problem is that Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld has recently stated something to the contrary, and that's spawned a ton of clickbait headlines and the spread of misinformation.
Here's the thing - the only person who says that nothing is happening with a character that brought in $1.5B in global ticket sales is Rob Liefeld, who is not part of the Marvel Studios picture at all. He is not being included in conversations about the next movie in spite of being a consultant on the Fox movies, and he recently shared some fan art of Deadpool killing Mickey Mouse on his social media page, so he is clearly not an impartial source of information here.
Another big problem with his statement is that allegedly, production grids for the next film in the series are out there, seen by a select few (including some industry insiders). Disney CEO Bob Iger also has an image of Deadpool on his Twitter banner, and previously noted that he's open to the idea of there being an R-rated Marvel Studios label for a third Deadpool movie and potentially other films. Marvel are currently in the process of making an omnibus of Deadpool stories from Joe Kelly, who gave the character the personality that fans of the character love. But most importantly, not only have Deadpool 1 and Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick officially met with Marvel Studios about the future of the franchise, but Ryan Reynolds, who is the only "FoX-Men" actor likely to make the jump into the MCU, has as well.
This was the original entry on the page before it got reverted:
- Untitled Deadpool film (TBA) note Confirmed by Ryan Reynolds to be in development. Reynolds will be returning as Deadpool, with writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick returning. Emma Watts and Simon Kinberg, who were involved with the previous films, will not be returning. The film will be the first R-rated entry in the MCU, and is expected to be distributed by 20th Century Studios instead of by Disney. Whether or not the film is a complete reboot or a Broad Strokes continuation of the franchise as it was prior to Disney's acquisition of Fox remains to be seen.
I tried relaying some of this information into the commented-out notes of article itself, but a Troper has recently accused me of being "biased" and is threatening to report me for vandalism... In spite of my simple relaying of crucial information like what I've shared above that debunks the speculation that Disney wants nothing to do with Deadpool. I am requesting that the Deadpool entry be reinstated into the article.
Edited by KingClarkopenCreating a works page for an adaptation Videogame
This is probably going to sound dumb, but how do I make the works page of an adaptation connected to the source material’s works page? In this case, I’m trying to make the works page for the anime film Dragon Quest: Your Story fall under the game Dragon Quest V, but as of this moment they are separate from each other.
I’m not too familiar with how creating works pages works, and even after reading the administrivia page I’m still a little lost on how this proceeds.
openOrganization for a work with a lot of spinoffs in the same media
Cells at Work! currently has 7 spinoffs, 3 of them already have their own pages. Based on historical troper activity, I'm sure 3 more of them will have their own pages by the end of summer—localized version of those will release in July.
All of them belongs to the Manga/ namespace, so a Franchise/ page is inappropriate. However, it's incredibly obvious that the page is increasingly messy also as a hub for its spinoffs. How should I reorganize the page?
openRude troper
Tropers/5u3902jgn-39 posted a rude reply on the Gremlins Headscratchers page. When I sent the standard notifier, I got a very rude reply.
They also post natter and break indentation rules.
EDIT: Here's a third example of rudeness, though less severe.
Edited by MichaelKatsuroopenIs there a standard to make pages for fanfiction?
I know you can make them, you can even make pages for your own fics, but is there a minimum? Can I just make pages for any fanfic so long as it's a well made page?
openShould we edit a minor something on the Star Wars (Franchise) page? Film
Apologies if this is the wrong medium, since it's about the EU, and that expands many mediums.
For the Star Wars Franchise page, however, I wanna offer up one minor point of contention. It is this idea at the end that the new EU has a singular continuity. Without trying to offend anyone, I think this, while not a deliberate lie, still has the potential to warp the perceptions of potential new fans. There is really no fundamental difference between how the old EU and all the tiers of canon was run under Lucas, and what Disney is doing now. It implies more cohesion when honestly, there's just as many plot holes in the six years since they discontinued it. My personal opinion is the breakdown came with TCW in 2008 for the old canon, but that's not something I'm gonna get into. For the Disney canon, though, since they said the novels were all canon, that opens up many plot holes since the Episode III novel has tons of EU shout-outs that place it firmly within that continuity, not the new stuff.
In short, I think the line "singular continuity" needs to change. All this means is that Disney has no idea what canon is, and the old tiers of canon gave structure to the franchise. What they have now does not seem to have any sort of larger structure involved. I'm sure opinions will vary, and this is not an attempt to trigger a debate. Just that I think the wording could be different here.
This is the line.
"Unless otherwise stated, any works created since then are part of a singular continuity."
It's also a fallacy since the new canon is spread across just as many mediums as the old EU was. As I said, I don't wanna debate. I just want suggestions here.

openIs this a Multimedia Franchise?
I think the current definition of a Multimedia Franchise is that it should has at least 1 legitimate work pages each on 3 media namespaces.
This case involves LightNovel. Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon. In additional to the original work, pages have recently been created for its spinoffs: VideoGame.Memoria Freese and the Non-Serial Movie Anime.Arrow Of The Orion. I don't think any of the editors are ready to create a Franchise/ page for it, me included—but does a mere 3 works really make it a multimedia franchise to begin with?
Edited by SamCurtopenUnpublished work in main wiki
Another day, another bad page that links to Bi The Way. Literature.Monarch is a "planned" book series by a deviantArt user whose account isn't active anymore. Apparently, "most of [the author]'s ideas are unknown to the public". I'm pretty sure this needs to be moved to Unpublished Works, but I'm posting it here because I want to be sure of it.
openCoronavirus again
There is an entry of Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW) listed in Comic Books. I have not read it, but it seems to be about a virus causing a zombie apocalypse. There are reasons to list the example in there, and a final line: "that the actual real life Coronavirus pandemic started popping up near the arc’s end, which would make any future reading to be more uncomfortable in retrospect." This line was removed and re-added by different users. But is it fine? Is Harsher in Hindsight a factor for a work having Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy?

Yeah, what if Princess Bubblegum didn’t change her outfit like normal, she just presses a button that rapidly changes her outfit?
Like this for example:
Princess Bubblegum: (Presses the button: her outfit morphs into her sleeping gown with her hair in ties) “No” (Presses it again: her outfit morphs into a pink shirt with pink pants, as well as her hair tied in a bun) “No” (Presses it once again: her outfit morphs into her pink sweatsuit with pink jeans, oh, and her bun got undone, causing her hair to grow back to it’s original length) “No” (Keeps pressing the button multiple times, morphing her outfit as well as saying “No” every time, as well as changing her hair style in the process. She also got de-aged to her 13 year old self, and got aged back up to her 18 year old self when she pressed the button. Her outfit morphed into: Her light blue dress, her baby blue swan dress, her cupcake dress, her dull pink dress, her short dress, her purple pouch dress, her shirt dress, her pink winter hoodie, her 2nd short dress, her party dress, her yellow shirt, her blue lab coat with her witch hat, her Web Weirdos dress, her white and purple dress, and finally, her blue silky dress) (Presses it again: her outfit morphs into her winter sweater dress) “Ugh! No!” (Presses the button one more time: her outfit morphs into her lab outfit) “Yes! There we go! Finally! Now... off to the lab!”

Was Val-Yor a Karma Houdini for his behavior towards Starfire and not changing his views at all? Yeah, he injured his left arm but that wasn't enough.
P.S. Don't show me a picture nor video of him as I REALLY hate the character.
openWhat is this page?
Does anyone have any idea what JustForFun.Oskar Azkanhalyan is? Nothing links to it; it's not even indexed in Just for Fun. It appears to be a character sheet of some kind (probably for a crossover fanfic), but there's no main work page. Should it be put on Darth Wiki?
And yes, I found it because of the Bi The Way cleanup.
openZCE checking and advice needed, via PM is okay
Hiya!
Got a PM last week from a Troper saying some of the examples on my Works Site were ZC Es. I've been spending the week since then fleshing them out as best I can, then placing the entries on Tropes Pages. I've read the advice page on how to flesh out ZC Es.
I think I'm ready to go at this point (except for an entry on Shout Outs, which will require its own separate page — haven't started on it yet, but have put a double-% sign before it on the edits page).
When someone has time, could a knowledgeable Troper take a long look at what I've done and make suggestions for changes needed? I already heard from a Troper about my entry for "Vomit Discretion Shot," which I thought was fine but apparently has issues, so I suspect I'll need some help here. Doing this via PM is fine by me.
Works Page is The Bolt Chronicles. Fair warning — it's a long page.
Many thanks!

Today I've been finding my adopted Mirror Explanation draft has been being edited by a troper named Melty178, who keeps adding their own examples. This alone isn't a big deal except that it clashes with the way I personally prefer to run my drafts, and there's history of people adding their own unfitting or poorly written examples that I'd never otherwise post for them.
The real problem is that their edits are poorly written and the most recent one has a slew of grammar mistakes. They're also clearly not reading the draft's discussion because I'd already asked them to post examples in the comments, so there's that. Here's the most recent example, I trust people can find the grammar issues here:
- Impractical Jokers did this when the four guys all got an (should be a) Gag Haircut punishment at the end of Season one, when the stylist turned the barber chair towards the mirror. Joe, who sports hates having long hair (confusing sentence there), was revealed to have been given a sparkly mullet. Q, who sports wavy black hair (was) revealed to have bright red haired (needs punctuation) curly locks (think Little Orphan Annie). Sal's head was shaved down the middle, and the hair in the front of his head was bleached. Murr was given the hairstyle of a Munchkinland resident.
