It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

openHate Sink misuse?
Found this entry in Banjo-Kazooie but looks a bit shoehorned
- Hate Sink: The figure single-handedly responsible for everything fans of the franchise complain about in his game of origin, who constantly mocks them, personally, the previous games in the series, and the fact that Nuts and Bolts is going to be a Franchise Killer. In-game, he also brags about being responsible for some of the most annoying sidequests of the previous games, most notably Canary Mary.
openHelp creating an index for a Fan Rec page Anime
Can you help me make a Fan Rec Index for Ren Zha Fan Pai Zi Jiu Xi Tong or otherwise known as Scum Villain Self Saving System page? I noticed it didn't have one and I have no idea how to do it myself.
Edited by Gintama200openPutting tropes for adaptations of characters on comics character pages?
So I recently removed a bunch of tropes entries for adaptations of characters on the X-Men pages because those are comic pages and I haven't seen this done on any other character sheet (Venom, Naruto, Captain America, Batman or anything where the characters have a notable video game presence) and it just sort of looked weird when usually these entries are under the adaptations' own pages. E.g. "Teleport Spam: In [GAME] he does this" or something where it is explicitly said that the person isn't normally something, but in one specific adaptation they are, or Actually A Doom Bot in one instance for a videogame adaptation. This is in the comics character pages, not the character pages or trope entries for that specific adaptation. There's also their appearances in a videogame apparently warranting being in the main body of text above the examples, which I find questionable.
zealots re-added them without discussion saying there's no rule against it, but the main X-Men characters page itself says it's for the comics and some of the pages themselves state it's for the comics versions, so I'm not sure how to proceed. Thoughts?
Edited by FuzzyBarbarianopenTroper with consistent indentation issues:
tvtropesZeroSeven has shown a complete disregard for indentation rules in most of their edits (among the most recent cases are here and here), on top of misusing Expy and various other tropes that are subject to forum scrutiny.
Edited by AnoBakaDesuopenColor text in wiki markup
So I noticed just now when I was looking at the indices for color tropes (colored as a test) like The Yellow Index and realized the color markup has been brought back wiki side. I thought they weren't coming back because of rampant misuse? haven't been on the wiki consistently so maybe I somehow missed this but this is news to me.
Edited by MacronNotesopenImagine Spot misuse?
Everybody seems to think Imagine Spot and Fantasy Sequence are synonyms, but actually an Imagine Spot is a really short Fantasy Sequence. The misuse has even spread off the wiki. What should I do?
openSomeone who has played Chaos;Child fully, please answer this question.
I plan on making a Complete Monster effortpost on the thread for Shuichi Wakui. However, I read on reddit that all of the heroines’ routes are All Just a Dream, a shared delusion while Takuru and the others are in a coma. Is this true? Because if so, it severely hurts the chances of Mr. Wakui making it, since some of their most heinous actions are committed in the Kazuki route, which according to reddit did not actually happen.
openAngry Troper
So... this is happening.
I personally don't think I was being rude, but my attempt to be reasonable has caused things to spiral beyond my control. I don't know what to do, and I'm bringing it here so that someone can either help cool the situation down, or so we can keep an eye out just in case this creates more drama elsewhere.
Edited by WarJay77openAbout Quotes.WhamLine
A while back I removed a sinkhole to And I Must Scream from one of the quotes on Quotes.Wham Line, on account of the fact that the phrase in question isn't an example of that trope. Admittedly, I didn't actually say this in my edit reason, which is probably why pidget_spinner felt free to put it back without discussion.
... ... Tangentially related, do we even need a Quotes/ subpage for Wham Line? That seems kinda redundant. Maybe if the quotes were about wham lines, I could see it, but everything currently on that page is just a wham line that easily could be put on the examples page.
openWall of text example on Danganronpa V3
The Up To Eleven example on Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is a massive Wall of Text lasting 26,989 words.
Something tells me it can be reduced a hundredfold without losing the point the example was trying to make.
openIs asking for Tropers I personally know for help against the rules?
I proposed two tropes in the Trope Launch Pad. Two of my cousins have accounts here (I don't know their usernames to make a link) and I wanna ask them to vote for my proposals. Is that allowed?
Edited by RT1986openHow long leave in discussion... Live Action TV
If an edit has been removed. And you want to question the removal to see if should be put back you take it to discussion. If there is no follow up or input in discussion how long before you take it to ATT? A few days or a week?
openSame Namespace, Same Title, Disambig how?
This is mostly a hypothetical, since though I'd like for this creator to have a page, I'd need a bit of time to find tropes, since they're mostly a vlogger. But, let's go under the assumption that I was going to do this, shall we?
So there's a YouTuber I enjoy named "Strange Aeons". She makes funny content and talks about LGBT / Catholic School stuff. She's p cool. I got curious to see if she had a page here, and found... Strange Aeons, about... a Slenderverse series.
My issue is, these people would be in the same namespace and they have the same name. While most works are disambiged by year, does that make sense for internet content? In fact, these two channels were even both started in 2012, so even that wouldn't work very well. So, if I wanted to make a page for the YouTuber, how would I do so?
(And I guess it's theoretically possible for this person to have a page since we have pages for people like Jenna Marbles and Logan Paul, I just have trouble finding the line between "troping these peoples' real, actual on-camera lives" and "troping creative content these people make" when it comes to vlogger-types.)
Edited by WarJay77openPeculiar edits on words Anime
This troper, lugia1, has been making edits on Pokémon, in which they replace the é with a regular e. It might not seem as much as a big deal, but I'm reporting this out of consideration for those that are strict about formatting. This goes from both the Pokémon section and To Be a (Miraculous) Master.
Here's a link to their edit history: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/el.php?findfor=lugia1
On top of that, I looked further into their history as they also been removing Trope links on words and took apart Trope Name (added spaces to turn them into regular words) for no reason.
Edited by SeptimusHeapopen All The Tropes Vs TV Tropes
What the fuck is the difference between All The Tropes and TV Tropes?
Forgive me if this is premature, but I'm suspecting the sponsor of this TLP is either trolling, or just really doesn't get TLP etiquette.
