openRed forum posts
I know that sometimes mod posts on forum threads are red, but does the red outline mean that they're being strict about something?
openTropower
Tropower is a user that just caught my eye, and I normally don't report people this quickly, but their editing is...worrisome. History here, let's dive in:
- Here, they deleted "Jesus" as a swear word.
- Numerous Context Problems
- Indentation Problems, too.
- Any mention of 4Kids becomes potholed to Macekre, apparently because doing otherwise is too subjective. Not to mention deciding to call Ash "Satoshi" on the same page, in defiance of translation rules.
All in all, they got some serious editing problems, and while I did send a context notifier, they definitely need something more.
Edited by WarJay77openHow old is Lio Fotia from Promare? Anime
A friend of mine posted a meme saying that "Lio Fotia has been the leader of the Mad Burnish for 30 years" and that made me question Lio's age. Though I was skeptic about him being older than 30 years.
My friend then showed me a video clip of the English dubbed Promare and in the scene, one of the characters says to Galo, "Don't underestimate him, he's the root of all Burnish crime and the world's been hunting him for 30 years. He's the leader of Mad Burnish."
I'm not sure if I believe that Lio is really about 30 years old or even older than that. He's the newly appointed leader after Meis and Guiera met him during the Freeze Force encounter and Lio saved both of them.
Also, I read in the Promare characters page in this site that Lio is "visibly the youngest of the Mad Burnish and the one appointed leader. Upon seeing his face, Galo remarks in shock that Lio's just a kid."
Does this imply that Lio is younger than Galo?
And the next description catches my eye: "A young teenage boy who's got powerful flame powers and a strong will to save his Burnish brethren while determined to not hurt those who are not mutated regardless as to whether they came from the Foresight Foundation or not has proved to be a character strong enough for Gueira and Meis to induct Lio to the position as leader of their organization and give Lio their trust and Undying Loyalty."
Yeah so my objective of all this is just to seek enlightenment and confirmation about Lio's age and whether or not he really is the "leader" of Mad Burnish that the "world has been hunting for 30 years" because I am still super skeptic that he is middle-aged.

Edited by ArtemisBlossomopenShoutOut or coincidence?
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic S9 E25 "The Ending of the End – Part 2"
- Shout-Out:
- The Mane Six's allies coming to the aid cribs a bit from the heroes arriving to help Cap scene Avengers: Endgame. Likewise, the end at the donuts shop, while doubling as a Continuity Nod (see above), is one toward the 2012 Avengers movie and the post-credit scene of the heroes resting at a Shawarma shop after likewise coming off a big battle.
When you account for Animation Lead Time, which means it's written a year in advance, it could have been planned before Endgame came out for this to shout out to. I assume it's not a Shout out if it was written before what it's allegedly referencing.
Do we remove or keep it if the time is right a the point where we can't tell if it was made before or after what it's shouting out to?
openquestion about quote formatting
I checked Text-Formatting Rules, but it didn't cover any standard formatting for song lyrics. Should they be italicized? e.g.
- Example text blah blah blah
Lyrics lyrics la la laLe le lu-la la la la
openComic book namespace
Most comic books are located in the ComicBook namespace (with upper case in C and B), and show up in the watchlist with a small bolt next to them. The Fantastic Four, on the other hand, are located in the "Comicbook" namespace (as a single word, B in lower case), which does not follow the usual style and does not have such an icon in the watchlist. Is there a way to fix this?
openWhen is a Shakespeare quote a ShoutOut? Literature
Lots of Shakespeare's lines are so famous that they constantly get repeated in pop culture. For instance the expression of "wear my heart upon my sleeve" comes from Othello to begin with.
But there's the rub—what counts as a Shout-Out? For instance, the "heart upon sleeve"-thing is just a common expression now, and most people who use it probably don't know that it comes from Othello. The same goes for the phrase "gilding the lily," a misquote from King John.
How do we determine when it's an actual Shout-Out?

A while ago, I created a a character sheet for the anime A Little Snow Fairy Sugar. Problem is, no one seems to have touched it, even though I stated that it Needs Wiki Magic Love, and I can't find enough time to work on it on my own. Is anyone willing to help me?
open Suspiciously Specific Denial
I believe that Tropers.Fan 727 has expressed an intention to use sockpuppets for questionable purposes by means of denying that certain other troper handles belong to them.
This is the content of their most recent post in the Complete Monster cleanup.
NOTE: I'm not Misry 6. I also ran across All The Tropes Wiki and Villains Wiki, because anyone wishing to see villains or older/alternative versions has can land there.
I'm also not Walrus Guy. (Another user seen on both wikis.)
I have checked the edits for both Tropers.Walrus Guy and Tropers.Misry 6 and they seem to be empty, which strikes me as somewhat suspicious. I believe that this matter may need to be investigated, just to be on the safe side.
Edit: Only now just realized that they were denying that they used those usernames on the other sites; no wonder I was confused.
Addendum: Based on Fan727's interactions with Misry 6 on other sites, Misry 6 just got caught in the crossfire.
PS: This ATT took place long before Misry joined the site.
Edited by SkyCat32openEdit War on YMMV.ElCamino
Troper Movieand T Vgoer 123 added a He Really Can Act entry for Aaron Paul to YMMV.El Camino. I deleted it, noting in the edit reason that He Really Can Act is for primarily comedic or otherwise non-serious actors proving their dramatic chops against expectations, however Aaron Paul's dramatic chops are not in doubt in this work, as he's reprising a role in which he has already been noted for his excellent dramatic performance.
Movieand T Vgoer 123 restored the entry with no discussion and no edit reason.
Edited by HighCrateopenEdit warring Webcomic
It seems Geodude6 doesn't like his changes being contested and reverted one back on Characters. The Order Of The Stick The Order Of The Scribble without trying to discuss it.
I would have let it slide, except with all the other very arguable changes they'd made on the OotS character pages, one of which had required a mod revert, I'd say we have a problem troper here.
openCool with leaks now or what?
Trivia. My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic S 9 E 26 The Last Problem
- What Could Have Been: According to leaked production notes, it was more explicit that Fluttershy got together with Discord, with the two sharing a kiss after she exits the portal. The final episode changed it to be more ambiguous, so fans could interpret it how they like.
We haven't allowed leaks before, so has something changed now the the show's officially over or what? What, if any, is the amount of time before it's OK to add such? Note that mainstream fan sites are avoiding posting them.
Is there a time and way this sort of info is allowed on this site? If so there's some interesting stuff to add. (One concern is how do we tell legit from fake info.)
openIs this spoiler warning too subtle? Videogame
Doki Doki Literature Club! has a warning that the page is Spoilers Off due to the nature of the game, but the warning is buried towards the end of the description and is very easy to miss. Should it be moved to the top of the page as a header?
openFilm/LivingWill Film
Living Will. Literally everything is a ZCE and the only good thing is the description (barring the last paragraph). I doubt anyone here has seen the movie?
openEdit War discussion definition
I know that add > delete > add without discussion is classed as an edit war but if the second addition reworded the entry somewhat to cover some, but not all of, the issues with the deletion mentioned in the deletion's edit reasons, does that count as enough discussion even if the re-adding troper still didn't discuss things via PM/Forum/ATT/Discussion page, especially if the re-added addition didn't have its own edit reason?
