openNeed Help Fixing Quote Indentation Anime
On Ship Sinking, I've run into an entry that looks incorrectly formatted, yet I'm having a heck of a time fixing. Can anyone help me out?
- Puella Magi Madoka Magica
- Fans always treated Madoka/Homura as the capital ship above and beyond all others, and were delighted by the mountains of Ship Tease Rebellion provided. Until the ending, when Homura's Protagonist Journey to Villain is completed and she imprisons Madoka, making any likelihood of them getting together extremely slim for the time being (not that it will stop all fans from continuing to ship it). Furthermore, Gen Urobuchi has stated in an interview that Homura's feelings for Madoka are platonic rather than romantic (in the usual sense). This is somewhat played with, as when he was asked if Homura was in love with Madoka, he answered "Probably". Still we are talking about Urobuchi here... So make of that what you will.
- To be specific, he said:

- Sayaka/Kyosuke is sunk the moment Sayaka makes her contract, though it takes a few episodes to reveal why. By the end of the anime, Sayaka/Kyoko has sunk as well when Sayaka chooses to stay dead in the new timeline.
Edit: the problem I'm having is the bottom text having the same indentation as the quote. The other stuff surrounding it is just context.

openFanfic and Comic with the same name Anime
Someone very kindly created a TV Tropes page for my crossover fic. Unfortunately there is a comic book by the same name, so they are linked together.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/Justice
Having it on the same page as the comic is not really an issue, but attempts to make links to the page on the Fanfic Recs pages on One Piece, The DCU, the DC Animated Universe, and Fanfics of the 2010s are not working. Does anyone please have any suggestions?
openYMMV.KannazukiNoMiko page... kind of overly negative? Anime
This page. I get that it's a controversial show, but why is it that it looks like being written not by a neutral party but more like the detractors hamfisting what they don't like about the show? I've already made several edits about it, but I feel like I should rewrite in a more neutral manner.
Should I? Is the page negative enough?
The main page itself looked rather old, with a lot of ZCE's (I plan on fixing that too), so I was thinking that this was why a lot of its 'negativity' (if confirmed) went unfixed. What do you think?
openCancelling a Wikiword request Anime
I was looking at Creator.Funimation and found it odd that it was spelled properly, as I had always known it as FUNimation. I popped a wikiword request in but then looked down, actually read the page and saw it said previously known as FUNimation Productions and FUNimation Entertainment. Since I don't see any way to cancel the request myself, I wanted to post this so a mod would know it was a mistake on my part.
Edited by sgamer82openAnime title question Anime
I was going to make a page for the anime film Okko's Inn. While looking it up, I discovered it was based on a series of novels titled "Waka Okami wa Shōgakusei," and an anime series of the same name was created for the Spring 2018 Anime season. What title should it go under and how should it be described?

Edited by lalalei2001openCut content for "incest and pedophilia" Anime
Hello!
I'm very, very new here so I'd like to apologize in advance for any broken or missing formatting, or if this question/issue is easily answerable or stupid.
With that out of the way - a user by the name of teamfivey on Sep 1st, 2018 cut a large amount of content and examples from the Ho Yay page for FullmetalAlchemist, with their reasoning being as follows:
"Not examples. Can we not with the incest and pedophilia thanks"
I only noticed this change after I came back to the page to reference a line that is now removed.
None of the cut content was overtly sexual or pornographic, and contained popular fandom ships that they seemed to consider being a personal Squick or No Yay. Even regular, tame pairings got caught in the crossfire. Is there a specific rule against Ho Yay examples containing potentially underage characters, or a rule against incest? Since the page Incest Yay Shipping exists, I'm honestly confused.
Thoughts? I don't know if I have the power or if I even should revert an edit such as this, but it's been made clear that their only intention was to remove the work that others have put into that page without giving or putting any effort in themselves.
Edited by Pantone292open Need help to find my favorite childhood series (unsolved) Anime
So, I've come to think of this animated series from when I was little (I'm 16 now) so by little I mean around 6-9.
But I just CAN'T get to the name of the series, so I would love if you guys could help.
First off, it's kinda like pokémon and Bakugan, but not that animation type, just more like by the concept. And it's like these small things/animals/monsters are their spirit animal, and when they'll have to fight they got this gun to fire out this "monster" or smthing at their opponent and they either splode when they hit the target, or maybe fire smthing while they'r in air flying towards the target. And in the air they grow from a small monster to abigger version of themselves.
There is also made a game on phone for this series.
I think it's from around 2007-2013
If you can get to think of or know what this is please help me for christ sake xD
Thanks - Stistrup
Edited by Stistrupopen Breaking the Fourth Wall in Digimon Anime
While the English dubs already did it in the form of characters narrating recaps of previous episodes, according to thread, there are other examples not listed in any Digimon page on this site. Do you think you can help find more examples of Breaking the Fourth Wall in the franchise?
open Need help finding old show Anime
There was this cartoon on Netflix I once watched. Don’t remember much but the main characters were two babies(one was white one was black I believe). It was an adult show with lots crude humor.
open My first trope question xd Anime
Is there a trope about when a character does a series of horrible things in order to make everyone hate him and then die so all the hatred dies with himself and the world can live happily ever after? I saw it in Naruto (done by Sasuke towards the end of the series) and Code Geass (By Lelouch)
openjouXIII violating "most recent localized name" policy Anime
After their edit on the recently launched Muggle with a Degree in Magic, I checked jouXIII's edit history and noticed they have been going around editing Anime.Pokemon examples on trope pages to put the Romanized Japanese names of characters in front of their localized names (ie. Satoshi/Ash, Nyaasu/Meowth), or outright replacing them altogether. I sent them a PM about how TV Tropes uses the most recent localized names, but in the meantime could I have some help with reverting their edits?
Edit: Spotted some VideoGame.Pokemon and Anime.Digimon examples too. They're not even consistent, for example on Our Wyverns Are Different they changed the names in one example but left the name in example above it. Edit: Oops that was added by someone else after their edit.
Edit: They hit Manga.Dragon Ball, Manga. One Piece, and Anime.Yu Gi Oh examples too. And so far every edit of theirs I've looked at is along the lines of removing official localizations and nothing else.
Edited by homogenizedopenIs this sexist/misogynistic? Anime
I was looking at the Awesome.Digimon Tamers page, and found that someone added this as a secondary bullet to an example for Ruki/Rika:
"The 2018 drama CD revealed that Rika grew up to become a freestyle motocross rider. It's the first time a girl in Digimon didn't end up growing up to do something stereotypically feminine, and not only is it awesome, it suits her competitive nature perfectly."
Now, I agree that her becoming a motocross rider is awesome, and I agree that it does suit her competitive nature very well. However, I have an issue about the part where it says "It's the first time a girl in Digimon didn't end up growing up to do something stereotypically feminine" and how that specifically is considered "awesome." It sounds sexist/misogynistic that Ruki/Rika becoming a motocross rider is specifically awesome just because it's not "stereotypically feminine." At least, that's how I read it.
Whoever originally wrote this made it sound like her growing up to do something like motocross riding is awesome specifically because it's not ''stereotypically feminine." However, I wanted to get others' opinions on it first: as it is written, does anyone else think that that line is sexist/misogynistic?
openComplaining? Anime
Applenyan added the following entry in YMMV.Yu Gi Oh VRAINS:
- Arc Fatigue: The second season suffers badly from this. For one thing it's the longest season and arc in Yu-Gi-Oh! to date having a grand total of 56 episodes. Another thing is the pacing for the season was rather poor for most of it. The first half of the season took way too long to properly introduce the plot and while the second half improved pacing, it felt as some duels were way too long or not as long as they should. Also not helping matters is for the entire season using the same opening "Go Forward", but unlike previous series didn't even bother to update the visuals despite them being way outdated by halfway in the season.
Seems complainy based on how the example's written. Was thinking about taking it down, but wanted to get some input here first.
Edited by Tenma-YuukiopenConflicting English translations Anime
So based on the answers given here [1], I went ahead and changed the name of Kaido's pirate crew to the "Animal Kingdom Pirates", which is the official VIZ translation. Before, it was using the Funimation translation, "Beasts Pirates".
However, user EmperorMasakado reverted my changes, stating that Funimation is also an official English source (the anime), and that the kanji of the original Japanese translates to "beast". I didn't revert their edit because I didn't want to start an edit war, so I'm hoping to resolve this here. (I did send them a PM that I would be continuing the discussion here).
1. Funimation is responsible for the anime, and VIZ Media is responsible for the manga. The manga is the source material, and the anime lags behind the manga in terms of progression (as is par for the course for anime adaptations). Which one would the "most recent official translation" rule apply to?
2. Does the kanji of the original Japanese have any relevance here?
Which translation is preferred in cases like these for consistency's sake? Or are both allowed to be used interchangeably on the site?
Edited by DeeeFooopenPointless subpage? Anime

Edited by keyblade333open This Sonic Character Who Keeps Getting Popped Up Anime
I've seen a lot of these all over the place on the Internet talking about this character named Chris Thorndyke. https://www.thetoptens.com/worst-sonic-characters/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEopDzaZzrU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8sLrHzl2og I'm somewhat of a Sonic fan, but I haven't really seen any of the cartoons because they haven't really caught my eye, and I already have tons of shows that I'm currently watching that I can't really check them out. According to TV Tropes, he's hated because he's a Creator's Pet, but all these websites state that he's a spoiled brat who obsesses over Sonic more than Amy, and he's a gay furry lover who has a crush on Sonic. Does that sound like an example of Ron the Death Eater?
openHow Long a Title is Too Long? Anime
I was wondering about creating a page for a manga, but its title in both English and Japanese are so long I'm not sure we could do it. I recall there's a character limit to a title length somewhere in the sixties, but the English translated title is 70 while the Japanese title is 65 characters long.
At the same time, I tried just going to the page manually to see where/if it would cut off and it seemed fine, so is the limit no longer an issue?
The titles in question:
