openUnfinished subpages Literature
Characters.Alex Rider was split into multiple subpages, but the creator of the subpages hardly bothered to move content that used to be in the main character page to their appropriate, respective subpages.
I'd fix it myself, but I'm uncertain which goes where as I haven't actively kept up with the series in a long while.
Subpages:
Edited by Tenma-YuukiopenRename CamWhore?
I'm not sure where on the forums this question goes, and the discussion on the trope page itself doesn't seem to be getting any attention, so... I think Cam Whore should be renamed to "Cam Girl" (possibly with "Cam Boy" as a redirect). The use of the word "whore" is unnecessarily harsh and demeaning to those in sex work, has automatically negative connotations that aren't a requirement for the trope, and "cam girl" is a more common term, anyway.
openContemptible cover
Is there reason that Contemptible Cover is a main page trope. It doesn't really have anything to do with the work itself and hence would fit better under trivia or ymmv(assuming its debatable).
openEvil Overlord List usage for heroes
I was looking at the Evil Overlord List, and was wondering if there was any way that it could be used by the heroes as well?note With some cautious reinterpretation of course, I'm trying to defend against an evil overlord, not become one myself. If not, is there some other page that could serve a similar purpose?
openBanned user bornofself is back. Again. Music
Oriental 1 is, judging by their edit history, bornofself's latest mantle. Didn't bother sending a message, but it doesn't matter because they're not supposed to be here but still somehow don't know when to quit.
open Captain Marvel's YMMV
Who ever deleted this page needs to cool off.
Movie isn't out yet and the page is attracting as much controversy and stupidity as the film itself. Leave off until the damn thing is released.
openMemetic Sex God cleanup
Memetic Sex God is being cleaned up. I'm not about the following:
- Clark Baxtresser: Along with his best friend and bandmate Pierce Siebers, who with him forms the two-man act TalkFine, Baxtresser has more or less stepped into Darren Criss' vacant role as Starkid's musical mastermind. Played keyboard for Me and My Dick, A Very Potter Sequel and Starship. Stepped up for the SPACE Tour and Apocalyptour to create concert arrangements for the songs in Starkid's catalogue — in most cases having to transcribe the songs by hand because no sheet music from the original productions survived. Promoted to musical director and co-wrote the music and lyrics for A Very Potter Senior Year, and sings in Darren Criss' place as Harry Potter for the soundtrack. Co-wrote and performed lead vocals for all the music for Ani. Was musical director and band leader for Ani, The Trail to Oregon! and Firebringer, which also had his first onstage cameo As Himself. Has become a Memetic Sex God among Starkid fans, with Meredith Stepien and Lauren Lopez both saying he's objectively the most "supermegafoxyawesomehot" member of the team.
- Taiyang Xiao Long being a Memetic Sex God. Explanation After the team Taiyang was in entered into people's minds more frequently with a picture of them in the Volume 3 opening, people began to have more fun with the fact he's been married and had a daughter with each of the women in his team. A common joke goes that Taiyang's Semblance is impregnating every woman he meets.
- In reverse, it's not uncommon to see jokes about Qrow being such a jerk because he can't get laid, as presumably he's the only one on his team whom Taiyang never slept with.
- ENTIRE. TEAM. Explanation After the photo of Team STRQ was revealed, an edit from
◊ RWBYRecaps began circulating where Taiyang says he's going to impregnate his entire team and Qrow tries clarifying that he's there too. Taiyang's response is where this meme comes from.
- ENTIRE. WORLD. Explanation Fans have deemed Jaune as Taiyang's successor in his Entire Team crusade after the finale puts them under similar lights. As a successor, it is now Jaune's duty to go beyond his team, add the fact that fans enjoy shipping Jaune with every female of the series and you get this meme.
- Approval of God: The author's mentor couldn't have felt any more honored to have Takeru modeled after him, primarily because of both the fact Takeru is a character that the author always had a preference for, and the fact the author's mentor is glad to see how his prodigy is using his newly taught knowledge on writing to his advantage with Takeru's portrayal as a Memetic Sex God in-universe and as an Intended Audience Reaction.
What do I do with those examples?
open the site has degraded completely for me
when i go on to tv tropes now it reduces itself to a late 90s mid 2000s format of nothing but a white background. the site is impossible to use now, and if anyone could help me fix this, please
openDid this ever exist?
I thought we had a cleanup thread on the forums for Self Demonstrating Articles in general, besides the specific ones for character pages and folder titles - but searching can't find any trace of it. Did this ever exist, and if not, would it be a good idea to create one?
openImmortals Fear Death example? Literature
I have a question regarding whether an scene in Chronicles of Chaos about an army of four different immortal factions are all taken aback when faced with a Army of the Dead and either fled or stopped counts as example of this trope, since it's a rather literal example but the point of the narration seems to be that they find death itself a fearful, unnatural or and incomprehensible concept, the text in the book goes likes this:
- Yet even they, yet even they were held back by one more terrible still: the great lord whom I will not name, the Unseen One, the Lord of the House of Woe, came forth that day in all his horror, opened the hell-gate, and drove his armies of shadow before him; the dead walked, and the Great Fear was at hand: the dreamlords shrieked and fled like mist; the Fallen spirits cowered, aetherial spear and shield a-tremble in their airy hands; and the cold brains of the war-machines of the Lost would not open fire with their planet-destroying weapons without the support of their allies. Even the deathless Titans of your timeless people, the prelapsarians, were astonished, and they paused, even though they could not be made afraid.
So what do you think? I know this usually goes in the discussion pages, and I opened a one, but no one answered.

I'm gonna recreate this page, and wanna know why it was deleted or if it's a good idea to rebuild it. I kinda wanna know what it'd look like. -iJosh64
Edited by ShroomwoodopenWhich Index?
What would Absolutely Rose Street go under: Advertising, Series, or Film? It's a 30-minute infomercial that passes itself off as a tv show. I'm not sure where it goes.
On that note, do promotional videos go under Advertising or Film? A Sneak Peek At Pokemon is under Film.
openWhat's in a name? (and a blank page) Literature
Hey everyone.
I wanted to create a fan fiction page for a story that I really enjoyed, and I'm thoroughly looking on the How to Create a Works Page. But for the life of me I can't find a good blank page to write on.
I'm not asking anyone to do this job for me, but where can I find one? Or do I create one by myself.
Thanks.

openTrope launched without permission
Someone launched my TLP draft Ghost Train without permission or reason. I was just about to launch it myself, but if they just wanted it to be launched already, shouldn't they have just commented on the draft page and asked me to do it?
As you can see in the TLP archive, I still had some questions. Since nobody had answered them, I was just going to go ahead and launch the trope anyway, but now I feel worse about my questions staying open because someone launched the trope without providing any insight on my questions.
Edited by DrNoPumaopenListable examples of Self-Imposed Challenge Videogame
So when it comes to things like Game Mod, Let's Play, and the various types of fanfic, we don't trope audience responses on a work's main page.
So for Self-Imposed Challenge, what kind of examples would be valid to list on a main page? Because I'm seeing stuff like "have you tried winning under various arbitrary restrictions" on Fortnite, or "some players try beating the Bonus Boss while affected by a glitch that speeds up the game" on Deltarune.
openUndertale/ProtagonistCenteredMorality
Seiren included the following to the Protagonist-Centered Morality example to Undertale in Protagonist-Centered Morality:
"When you realize the monsters are meant to be the protagonists, however, this trope comes into full effect. If the player kills any of the monsters, even if in self-defense against monster who are explicitly trying to kill them, it is treated as an irredeemable act; meanwhile, monsters who have killed humans are considered sympathetic, with the game outright demanding that you befriend them in order to get the Golden Ending. Even if you kill a monster by accident (which the game tries to purposefully set up), it is still considered a Moral Event Horizon; when the game reveals that monsters have killed humans by accident, the intention is to make the player sympathetic for the monsters rather than the countless humans who died because of unknowing monsters. Even in the Golden Ending, where the monsters are released from the underground, the fact that most monsters don't know they're accidentally killing people is never addressed."

So, Namine has her own characters subpage despite having only 55 tropes (for a character page, that's not very many). No other Kingdom Hearts character has their own page other than Sora himself (who has 230+ tropes), not even Xehanort and Xigbar. Xigbar (another franchise-important character) has like 90 tropes under his character profile and 34 more tropes under a character in Kingdom Hearts χ that is revealed in Kingdom Hearts III to also be Xigbar, leading to a total of 120+ tropes for Xigbar.
So that led me to ask some questions before trying to do anything about it.
Should Namine's character page be merged into a different subpage? Or can Xigbar have his own subpage? Is trope count alone a sufficient criterion?
(Sorry for asking this in ATT, I posted here because previously I got reported to ATT for a badly-received subpage reorganization of mine regarding Transformers, and today I got reported to the anti-complaining thread after some people did not like another of my earlier subpage reorganizations, namely regarding Dan Browned, Cowboy BeBop at His Computer, and Critical Research Failure.)
