There's a couple people, myself included, who have agreed on the discussion page for Space Marine that a change of page quote back to the old WH 40 K example would be better than the current Halo one.
Are we right to go ahead and change it, or do we need a bigger consensus first? Don't want to start an edit war.

This passage from Luke Nounverber is confusing me:
Big problem: The Trope Namer himself would thusly not be an example, as "Skywalker" is stated in one subentry of the example to be referring to his Ace Pilot skills. Same goes for many/most of the listed examples.
Does this look like a job for TRS?

start of edit war in Americans Hate Tingle: 5 May Hashill removed an example with the following edit reason: "Turns out to be have been an issue concerning the Japanese Nickelodeon, and not Avatar itself at all." Allspark Spin Out put it again in 27 jun, without edit reason.

Thre may be an Edit War in Multiform Balance.
Basically, Dragon Ranger disagree with how two forms of a character being classified, so he switch one classified as Lightning Bruiser to another with Jack of All Stats. Shortly afterward, Cyrok reverted back with "you never SAW the series, do you?" as edit reason.
I check the official site, and found that Dragon Ranger was right one there. So I reverted back, tell him to check discussion page, where I put links to official site with comparision why I agree with Dragon Ranger.
Later, Cyrok reverted it back again, without edit reason. I reverted and ask him to back up his claim with solid reason in edit reason box. Sure enough, he revert it with "den-o is already known for playing around with Multiform Balance. Dragon Ranger keeps bringing it up, when majority already agreed on Sword form being a Lightning Bruiser. How about trying to actually WATCH the series?"
Don't want to get myself in trouble (it isn't too late, I hope), and it's pretty clear he isn't going to talk in friendly tone, so I just leave another message in discussion page. Point out how his claim of "majority" is baseless (a little cynical...) and at least it contradict with official data.
Then here I am. Would someone kindly look into the matter, please?

If another troper has marked a WMG item as "jossed because of <explanation>", what should I do if the explanation for the jossing itself has been jossed? Is it ok to just remove the jossing comment or should I post another bullet after it to note the change?
In case you're curious, I'm talking about Metal Gear and a few notes about Peace Walker being the unnumbered Metal Gear Solid 5.

Hi there! There's an example of an aversion of Public Medium Ignorance I wanted to add, but I don't quite know where it fits best. It's about an Italian program named Mainstream, that by itself doesn't quite need an article as its amount of "Shown Their Work" is why I'm here in the first place, and I'm going to post it down here. Feel free to place it wherever you want, provided you have the time to do so. Thanks in advance (and sorry for the possibility of any perceived Italy-related Entry Pimping! :-)
* Generally [[AvertedTrope averted]] in a late-night Italian program called ''Mainstream'', aired on the fourth channel of the RAI network. To clarify, the one episode aired on Thursday, July 5th[[hottip:*: (or, to be precise, 6th, at two AM)]], 2012, had its first section describing GainaxEnding and related fan disappointment across several media: the list started with ''ThePrisoner'', ''TwinPeaks'' and ''{{Lost}}'', but at the end they mentioned ''OneMoreDay'' for ComicBooks and ''MassEffect3'' for VideoGames. For the record, it might well be the first time OMD ever got mentioned on public TV at all in Italy, as well as ME3's ending and its infamy (the game itself ''did'' get mentioned on TV, but only in its own commercials).

can someone explain I Was Never Here can someone explain this? there is no laconic and there is to much self demonstration for the actual definition to be clear.

A couple times now, the user Finister2 has added WMG entries for To Boldly Flee insinuating that everyone involved in the film was lying when they said Spoony's departure from That Guy With The Glasses did not affect the film (and why would it affect the film? His departure happened several months after filming wrapped).
Anything involving any supposed changes made to the film have been denied over and over and over again, by several people including Spoony himself. I don't think WMG is meant for conspiracy theories about two things (the film and Spoony's departure) that are now over and done with.

Hey there, I was led to the No Nonsense Self Defense link on I Just Want to Be Badass and reading through the page I began thinking about Buffy The Vampire Slayer. You know how she goes out on patrol looking for demons and such? Well as many people would guess that would likely get someone killed. I have in my mind writing up a detailed prose on this. How would I go about doing it? Where would I post it? Or would it be better off to leave that to self defense experts?

I think Kami4 has edit problem, to be precise, he added Natter in KULT (with This Troper as well), on 9th Aug. I removed it, and sent him PM about natter.
He sent me a PM few days later...do we have rule about posting text in his PMs here? Is it forbidden, or I need an approval to do so? Whatever, I end up told him to add it, without self-reference, if he really think it isn't case of Square Peg Round Trope. And he added this on 16th Aug...
{{YMMV}}, SquareTropeRoundHole.
Saw that, somehow I decide it would be good for him to remove it himself, so I PM him that YMMV shouldn't use in work namespace. He acknowledge, but did nothing (another troper remove it later.).

So i am a somewhat new troper, and i don't have much ( read: not at all) experience with editing pages, such as how to put Spoilers or writing for other Troper rather than myself. Currently in trying to enrich the Kana Little Sister pages, particularly the Heartwarming page, which didn't have anything still until i started. The question is: Could please another Troper who is also a fan of the game, help here? at least with learning the editing? the wiki doesn't help much with that.

If Fast Eddie made a policy call on the page for The Chick (a Five-Man Band has four male members in non-Chick roles, and a female Chick) that has not been put on the Five-Man Band page itself, does that still mean I should break out the chainsaw on examples with females outside the Chick role?

Hey-
I created a new page for the "Elvis Duran Morning Show" and now I need to know how to create a character page.
Also, where are all the morning show fans?! If anyone out here is a fan of Elvis, Skeery, Danielle and the rest, welcome yourself to help editing the page! If there are any tropes or examples I've forgotten to add, fell free to add them! Notify others that the Morning Show has its own page! In the words of a great president: "Spread the word. Get on the line to every squadron around the world."

Slowest edit war ever. Almost two months ago, I removed a few lines of natter from The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything. Earlier today, the troper Vic George 2011 readded it. Normally, I'd just write it off, considering how long it has been, but the wording is exactly the same as it was before, leading me to believe that it was simply an attempt to wait long enough that I wouldn't notice.
Anyway, I'm bringing it up here rather than reverting it myself so that I can't be accused of edit warring.

Concerning Missing Man Formation: it only has three examples, which I do realize according to the YTTKW itself is the bare minimum needed to launch, but when I looked at the draft for it
, it only had three hats, so it seems to me it jumped the gun a bit.

Um... could I get a second or third opinion on whether the Real-Life section for the Self-Deprecation page needs a drastic purge or not? It is presently full of all sorts of nearly-identical country stereotypes and what appears to be an exhaustive list of people who have made jokes at their own expense before. What few significant points there are to be made in that section are buried under a veritable avalanche of redundancy. BUT that might just be my own take on things. Could someone else take a look and confirm / deny?
Ta.
