resolved LongStory's Namespace Videogame
Is it okay to move LongStory's namespace from Video Game to Visual Novel because it is the latter, going by the way it is presented? If so, how do I do it without damaging the page itself?
EDIT: Nevermind, it has already been moved.
Edited by TroperNo9001openNew self-demonstrating page
Okay... beyond the fact that the page SelfDemonstrating.IvaNova-ThatWomanArticulatingTales includes a hyphen in its title, and thus would need to be moved anyway, aren't new self-demonstrating pages generally frowned upon, and not to be set up without some discussion first?
And frankly, I have no real idea what this one is about even after glancing at it. It might be about a work... but shouldn't there be a proper work page before even considering a self-demonstrating one?
Edited by StFanopenQuick question
So a few days ago I was adding a recently launched trope, Identical Twin Mistake, to the Twin Tropes index. All well and good, but this is an index using paragraph markup along with the trope itself. For some reason, though I feel I copied the formatting exactly, the result came out broken; you could see the slashmarks and it didn't look like a paragraph. When I resorted to copying a different trope and switching everything out for mine, it came out perfectly. I'm just asking what I did wrong the first time. I don't know what I did that was different compared to the other examples on the page. If anyone could shed some light on this for me, I'd appreciate it, so that I don't make the same mistake in the future.
Edited by WarJay77open Other Minor Issues
Along with the problems people have had editing, there are a couple more issues I've noticed with the new layout: 1. Not seeing a cursor when typing (in Firefox). Makes it very difficult to see where I've left off typing if looking away from the field. 2. The new Edit page is way too big on long pages. Along with having to scroll through the entire page within the edit pane itself, the outer portion of the page now has to scroll through the entire length to reach the Cancel/Back and Upload Image options.
openTroll edit of The Guy with the glasses; needs fixing Web Original
Peng 1 recently deleted nearly everything off That Guy with the Glasses and replaced it with a single line denouncing the show. I'm not capable of fixing the page myself since I don't really know how the editing works, plus I'm not sure what the proper response to said troper is. Regardless, figured I should bring it up, even if I'm not entirely sure this is the right place... And now another troper, Magicwolf 78, in his own words, plugged his favorite book series on the page as well.
Edited by Hero2014open Locked Page Glitch Webcomic
Webcomic.A Softer World locked itself when I tried to edit it, I think due to a glitch. Could someone please unlock it?
openYMMV/Sinestro Print Comic
The YMMV page for Sinestro (the comic book) is currently occupied by YMMV from Sinestro (a self-demonstrating page). In a case where there is both a work page and a self-demonstrating page, which should get the YMMV?
Edited by StrixObscuroopenLocked Page
Signature Style has gone and locked itself, after I tried to make a minor change (and got told that I was trying to insert an HTML, which is verboten, which I wasn't), and it refreshed itself a couple of times.
openThinking of Removing all Words of Aversion from the trope page One Steve Limit
The trope page itself states that only Aversions should be limited, due to how omnipresent this trope is, so I think I should remove all of the word "Aversion" from the page, due to how redundant it is.
open Fridge page for Fallout: New Vegas is locked Videogame
There's no word in Discussion about locking the page, and I don't see a Repair Shop notification header on the page itself. Possible spurious page lock?
Edited by JAG01openCan “Break the Cutie” be a part with the “Moral Event Horizen” comparisons?
The reason why I ask this is because the villain is attempting to break an innocent soul so he/she can either commit Suicide or turn them evil. Because of those reasons, I see that breaking the cutie should count as a villain crossing the MEH.
(PS, Sorry for my bad grammar. I speak fluent English, I just have trouble forming words myself...)
openThe Edwardian Era
As I had trimmed down Julian Lapostat's edit on The 20th Century, I headed off to The Edwardian Era, and found out that the last four pagragraphs (to be specific, paragraphs 5, 6, and 8) looked very unreadable due to the unnecessary words added to it. I even joked to myself that it could probably evoke the wording styles of the era, but then I realize that the era had a dissonant-by-today's-standards charm to it. I started trimming down the suffragettes section, though I could only do much. (Also if you see an "Across the Pond", don't delete that. That's a labelnote.) Who would help trim down the paragraphs?
openEntry for a self-made Fan Work Web Original
So I made a Sonic web video recently, would it be appropriate if I cataloged it in the Sonic Fan Works section?
open Educational Inaccuracies Western Animation
In King of the Hill, substitute teachers like Peggy are often shown grading papers and performing major duties as subs. Having been a sub in Texas myself, I can say that subbing involved more babysitting of classrooms of various ages rather than actual teaching. What trope would this fall under?
open No consensus on page Live Action TV
Myself and another troper are having difficulty reaching consensus regarding definitions of Anti-Villain or {{Wild Card)) in relations to Ward. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/remarks.php?trope=Characters.MCUHYDRALeadership
the debate has reached agreements on some definitions and stuck on others. Both are us agree to disagree in the most polite of ways but both seeking closure. We both have given what we feel are good points just trying to reach consensus.
openRequested edit Videogame
On Read Only Memories, Back Stab should probably be changed to In the Back, since Back Stab is only used if it's a game mechanic (and it's an Adventure Game). I don't want to do it myself since I'm considering buying this game and don't want to be spoiled.
openWhen can I add my work? Literature
Hello fellow Tropers!
So I have a novel due for publication on 9/4/2018 through a small press and wanted to make a page for it. I've been staying away from any YMMV tropes because it felt a bit narcissistic to try and point out a "Crowning moment of Awesome" or "Tear Jerker" lol. I wondered about two things
1. Is there a way of creating a draft of a page? I wanted to work on it on my downtime but would prefer to not make it visible until the publication date.
2. I mentioned the YMMV tropes being avoided earlier, are there more types of tropes you would recommend I don't add myself as the writer of the book?
Thank you!
openDo TV movies go on the Film index? Film
I added Magical Mystery Tour to the Television Movie Index as it ran on the BBC. Noticed that it's listed on the Film index as well. Thoughts? Don't really have an opinion myself.
Edited by jamespolk

Mewtwo now violates Repair, Don't Respond, and they and Kyurem are villains because there actions are excessive and I don't belvice they're treated sympathetically for it (for Mewtwo, until they realize there wrongness and stop). Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are also not treaded sympathetically admitted to not being an example at the time, making it seem more like Continuity Drift or Franchise Original Sin than this? Thoughts on removing?
There's a dedicated Unintentionally Unsympathetic cleanup, but I still haven't heard back from my last inquiry a month ago.
