resolved General issues with troper's editing
Gargoylenos is on random... sprees, for lack of better term.
He struggles with the concept of YMMV, as seen:
Then there is what he pulled in Victim-Blaming, like:
And his recurring edits in Heteronormative Crusader, summed up here
(which is half of his total output)
resolved Discussion pages spam complaining about Sinfest images
burglesnur has made a total of 57 comments
today alone on the discussion pages of tropes/one index with a Sinfest panel as the image, with the post each time being:
Issues with Sinfest itself aside, surely this violates Rule 1, right? If it was just a single post it would be one thing, but this is...well, a lot more than that. I don't know if it could be considered a Single-Issue Wonk since they've made unrelated discussion posts and their edits seem to be fine, but at any rate it's not okay.

After this
(2023) and this
(2024) queries, kittyface44 appears to still be bashing Infinity Train: Seeker of Crocus with this entry
(2025) that was today removed, so I question if there's a wonk here. The edits at YMMV
could also get a look as most of them invovle Chloe and Goh in some way.
openme when i purposefully spread misinformation over the internet
I noticed on the other wiki's page
for Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, there is a dubious claim that the movie was based on Neighbors from Hell, and it links back to the movie's page on this very wiki. The page was edited to include the "fact" on January 24
by Mayormontagu, who seems to have a history of spreading dubious claims about various kids cartoons, such as Kiff
.
There's even an admission of guilt on this edit
to Trivia.Top Wing. There was a hoax that some 90s alternative musicians worked on Top Wing, and Mayormontagu edited it to say that it "sprang from a hoax preprtrated [sic] by a high school student from upstate New York." That high school student from upstate New York must be Mayormontagu.
resolved Continued bashing?
As said here
, TCS Slave Leia had a massive wonk about Phineas and Ferb that led to them bashing the show in their review and comments, for which they were suspended. Now, their very first action after being unsuspended seems to have been to make another review
about why they hate the show, complete with saying that it did irreparable damage to the Disney Channel.
From what I can remember, the review isn't as bad as their first one, but that's not saying much.
resolved Apparent Troper with an Agenda
The troper Celtic Guy has only been active since the 17th April and a large proportion of their activity seems to have a political bent. First off, they created a complainy TLP
, "The 'Competent' Incompetent", whereby a work supposedly presents a character as highly capable when in fact this couldn't be further from the truth — oddly enough, the majority of these characters are female and contain numerous common "woke-bashing" targets including Avatar Korra, Miles Morales, MCU Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk, Ironheart and Rey Skywalker.
Additionally, they added this example to Characters.Tuttle Twins (a Moral Substitute kids' cartoon created by a conservative studio) about its depiction of Karl Marx:
- Historical Hero Upgrade: Surprisingly, Yes. Despite been accurately depicted as a stupid, lazy, entitled Manchild who hates women and is a terrible father, little mention has been made of his racism and anti-semitism, his poems to Satan or his acts of adultery (which involve possible rape), though it is justified by Tuttle Twins been a kids show.
- Strawman Has a Point: Coach Greer in the unaired episode "The Gatekeeper". Real World Politics aside, even within the context of the episode, Brooklyn regularly outperforms her team-mates in Greer's Challenges by leaps and bounds, near single-handedly carrying the entire team through them, thus proving Greer right in her accusations that as the only biological male, Brooklyn is giving her team an unfair advantage. (on YMMV page).
- Strawman Political: Exists only to be a negative depiction of people opposed to transatheletes competing against biological females. (on Characters folder for Greer).
resolved Edit to UsefulNotes.Transgender
I just noticed that there's been a substantial change to UsefulNotes.Transgender without an edit reason thus
.
It's essentially rewritten the article to be more transmedicalist, suggesting that people who do not medically transition are somehow not authentic (also creating a hard distinction when medical transition's a bit more complicated than that). The paragraph about AGP is correct in noting it's bunk, but the final sentence carries the implication that there are "fake" trans women about, and I don't have a great feeling about that.
The last paragraph is also iffy, if well intentioned, as it suggests that it's OK to misgender someone based on their appearances (what counts as "clear" presentation is subjective).
Thoughts?
Edited by Bisected8openPersistent edit war on YMMV.Helluva Boss Web Original
Iris2706 is constantly re-adding their Estrogen Brigade and Testosterone Brigade entries to YMMV.Helluva Boss despite the fact that they've already been removed multiple times by different tropers for misusing the tropes in question.
To give a summary:
- Iris first
adds
the two entries.
- Storygirl000 removes them
.
- Iris re-adds
the Estrogen Brigade entry.
- Tropemaster849 removes
the re-added entry.
- Iris re-adds

Edited by Inky100openSingle troper's vandalism of animated series all from same creator Western Animation
A troper by the name of Bento Boxer Justin Roiland has had a history of vandalizing work pages involving cartoons created by Brazilian animator Pedro Eboli, often adding false information. This includes:
- Claiming his works from Birdo Studio (Oswaldo, Cupcake & Dino: General Services, and Ba Da Bean) were co-produced by Bento Box Entertainment on December 16, 2024
(edit removed January 13, 2025
).
- They added this information to Bento Box's page too on April 19, 2025
. (removed April 24, 2025
)
- They also said Ollie's Pack was animated by Atomic Cartoons, Toon City, and Snipple Animation on April 19, 2025
(removed April 24, 2025
).
- They added this information to Bento Box's page too on April 19, 2025
- Creating a Character Sheet for Cupcake & Dino: General Services full of outright false information on December 17 2024. (page was cut by yours truly)
- Creating a Crosses the Line Twice page for Ollie's Pack once again full of false information and using a page image not actually from the show on February 1, 2025 (has been added to the Cutlist by me again).
- Adding a frankly bizarre and nonsensical, as well as unnecessary, image and caption to the Ollie's Pack Character Sheet photoshopping the characters' heads onto the cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on April 18, 2025
(removed May 8, 2025
).
- Also adding links to that image and new ones to the Image Links for Crosses the Line Twice on May 6, 2025
that appear to go to their Deviantart. (images cut May 8, 2025
).
- Also adding links to that image and new ones to the Image Links for Crosses the Line Twice on May 6, 2025
There are probably other examples, but I think we all get the point (I get the sense they are a ban evader as another troper named Morty 336 Steve 909 made similar vandalizing edits regarding the same shows). And while they do seem to have made a few positive contributions, this frequent vandalism and spreading of misinformation targeting a few specific shows (that all share the same creator, so I have my suspicions here) is very frustrating, especially for people who work on pages for obscure works, like myself. While I am personally of the belief that this user should be banned, I would like to know what other people's opinions on this matter is.
Edited by MagnusForceresolved Velma page blanking
Eren Krueger just blanked Funny.Velma citing "This show doesn't have funny moments AT ALL"
No matter how unpopular the show is, this is still willful vandalism. Do we want to do anything about them before reverting?
openPossible reverting of page Anime
There's been some odd edits made to the character folder of Emperor Charles zi Brittania on Code Geass - Britannian Imperial Family that I'm not sure I agree with. A single user by the name of Reddish Guy 1 went down the page
and edited various entries to paint Charles—who, while a villain, has nuance and positive qualities to him—in a more negative light, to such a point I worry there's maybe some kind of agenda at play against the character. For just some of the edits:
- They changed Charles's Noble Demon entry entirely, removing the (correct) description that he cares about humanity and wants to erase lies to instead say he's only "somewhat" the trope and then spend the entire entry noting his negative qualities.
- They added an addition to his Smug Snake entry to change "Charles largely gets away with his plans because he has access to a great amount of resources." into "Charles largely gets away with his plans because he just happens to have access to a great amount of resources."
- They edited his Evil Plan entry to make it seem like his opponent Lelouch easily overcame him when the original entry noted that Lelouch only barely won.
- They edited his Do Not Go Gentle entry to make it less about that trope—ie, "fighting to the last breath"—and instead bring up that he's "futilely" struggling and "spitefully" tries to choke someone.
The fact that this was all done in one batch and seems to be specifically targeting Charles' positive qualities to seemingly try to paint him as poorly as possible makes me wonder if this is worth a reversion. Charles is a villain but the editing of both his positive tropes (Noble Demon; Do Not Go Gentle) to make him look bad, and his negative tropes (Smug Snake) to make him look worse has me concerned the edits are perhaps based on a personal bias rather than what the work rightly showcases.
Edited by RavokopenUnexplained Reverts of ATT approved writeups with rejected writeups on CharacterPerceptionEvolution Western Animation
So quite a while ago, there was a discussion on Tighten
from Megamind’s characterPerceptionEvolution entry with everyone in ATT and it was agreed by all that Hal was always viewed as creepy and entitled by viewers whom weren’t children, with even Hal fans in the oldest livejournal communities admitting the character was a creep.
Howerver Joe Mere suddenly removed the approved ATT entry and replaced it with the rejected write up that claimed Hal was sympathized with until recently without giving any sort of edit reason.
I messaged them about it months ago, linking the ATT and they ‘’never’’ gave any sort of answer whatsoever.
On a similar note, when Miraculous removed the unapproved Hal/Tighten entry
on the Character Perception Evolution page, another user, Blase Son Of A Gun 1988 added it back, again with no edit reason being given
.
Should we intervene?
Edited by Monsundresolved Mass violation of Administrivia policy on Peter and Company. Webcomic
The author of Peter And Company, who goes by the username PeterAndCompany, I'm pretty sure just violated The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours and Auto-Erotic Troping.
I quote the following from the former:
- You may contest factual information and either make the changes or ask others to change it for you, as long as you are polite and respect consensus.
- You may inform us that your work has been removed and made permanently inaccessible to the public, in which case we may consider deleting our article(s). This requires agreement from the troper body.
- You may request removal of content that you believe is hostile or defamatory towards yourself or your work, but we hold final discretion as to what falls into those categories.
Nowhere have I seen the author do this at all; as far as I can tell, they also did not go to any of the cleanup pages. They instead gave a lengthy edit reason
stating that they are the author in an attempt to justify their vandalism of the page, which as Edit War states, is not sufficient discussion; Essentially he is trying to claim ownership of the page.
He has also gone on the trivia page and the YMMV page to do the exact same thing, moreso with the latter especially on parts that have to do with the main webcomic itself, and has also engaged in Auto-Erotic Troping on this paticular edit
and possibly the Main page. Admin has not indicated to me that he had the permission needed to take down what I wrote or the right to make the edits he made (the latter of which had nothing to do with removing misinformation on the Trivia page) either, so I'm on high alert with this.
He has also done the following which is something authors are not supposed to do, especially in regard to YMMV. I quote the following:
- You may not remove content from our articles on the basis that you disagree with it or do not like it.
I am open to input from the community and admin on this matter as to what can, should, or if anything can be done.
Edited by Stardust5099resolved Troper with anti-LGBT agenda
Hello all,
Troper https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers/LamentableFledgling905
just made this edit to Transformers One https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=YMMV.TransformersOne&page=15#edit44541125
which is just filled with homophobia. As well, going through their edit history, I found a series of edits to False Adultery Accusation which also raised my eyebrow. I haven't sent any notifiers as of yet, but I just wanted to note how eyebrow raising the edit is (As well, full of natter, and just bad editing)
opengp1999
I have some concerns with gp1999's edits.
- As reported on this ATT
, they added an overly negative, premature Star-Derailing Role example to a couple of pages. The troper's tendency to overaccentuate the negative goes beyond this one instance, though:
- This example
targets the same actress, suggesting the troper may have some form of wonk.
- A fixation on the Creator Killer and Star-Derailing Role tropes. Some of the examples they added were already deemed to be misuse and removed by other tropers, as they were added to pages of critically acclaimed works. Examples here
and here
.
- This example
- An Edit War in The Kids Are All Right, where they added the Creator Killer trope twice without any significant modification.
- Possible transphobia in this edit
, where they claim that Elliot Page's reputation took a hit after he came out as trans.
- Vandalism in this page
. They deleted the image because they did not like the work it originated from.
- In general, a poor grasp of the English grammar.
resolved About kkj12345... (again) Videogame
The troper kkj12345 was just unsuspended 4 days ago, and is already back to his usual complaining problems. Here's what I'm talking about.
1. He's still got a Single-Issue Wonk problem about Hot Shot being a smut book, over an actual sports focused book.
2. He's even gone as far to bait other people on the Choices wiki into answering that Book 2 would follow Book 1's footsteps, accuse them of being a downer when they agreed, and got angry at UFOYeah/Overloadxyz for calling him out on that.
^
(Source:https://choices-stories-you-play.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000001469521/r/4400000000008027273)
3. He also try to fear-monger the users on Choices wiki to believe that All of Us was going to be the last Choices book ever, just because it was about LGBTQIA+ representation.
So what this shows us is kkj12345/General Khor has not changed his ways at all, right?
Edited by RyckmanhopenShados960
Half of Shados 960's edits are relating to fatness and weight gain and, from what I've at least seen for their edits in the Passion Patties recap, seem to be very gushy.
Am I in the right to be a bit concerned?
resolved Why is the trope finder icon a trash can?
It's weird and not exactly welcoming for those who are looking for a lost trope;
openMarcoPolo250 Live Action TV
Marco Polo 250 trimmed down and cut multiple examples from ReBoot: The Guardian Code for apparently no reason.
The only edit reason they gave was "Spoilers", but the only spoilers they cut were from the original series, which don't even need to be hidden, let alone cut entirely. And not every change was spoiler-related anyway.
I PM'd them a couple of days ago but they have not responded.

The troper To be Continued Yes
seems to be really biased and has complained about Rick roirdon's works a lot.
For some examples :
It's not just this either.
And this all from a cursory glance at their edit history. This is an amazing number of different issues.
