openNo love for Asterigos: Curse of the Stars? Videogame
Why is there no article for Asterigos: Curse of the Stars? It's been out for a while now and I can't seem to find anything on it on this site.
Edited by Ryujin1337resolved Should the Misc. Games and Other Games folders in Endless Game be merged? Videogame
They both are for games that aren't sorted in the other genresnote I think it's because they'd be the sole examples if they get their own folders or can't be easily sorted in them.
Edited by TroperNo9001openHearthstone page name Videogame
Hearthstone currently has Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft as the main name... but Hearthstone hasn't had a subtitle since November of 2016
. Hearthstone also has a lot of subpages, all of which use the full (and, long since incorrect) title.
How would I go about fixing this? I've never done any name changes for anything, let alone something this major.
openMerging Two Articles Videogame
The article for Leviathan is in a sorry state and would be difficult to repair/add content for. The work itself is a short, direct prequel to Limbus Company, whose article is in a much better state.
Would it make sense to cut Leviathan's article and simply add its tropes to Limbus Company's? There would be folders separating the two, of course.
openCopying game bios... Consequences? Videogame
Are there any repercussions/consequences for typing character bios word for word, aside from scrutiny because of plagiarism? I'm currently working on the Nikke character subpages, and was adding the in-game descriptions of characters in their entries. However, someone PM'd me, advising me against it, saying that "the mods [would] get kinda worried the devs will see, think we're ripping them off, and sue" I have no ill will towards the person who messaged me, I think it's a valid concern. However, I'm wondering if there's any sort of legal consequence for simply copy-pasting character bios, which are in-game.
Edited by Bootsresolved Same entry under a trope mentioned twice with conflicting descriptions Videogame
Hello tropers,
I'm looking for help at the page Castle Crashers as it's got this description:
- Fighter Mage Thief: While the game does not have set classes per say, the different buffs and abilities of the animal orbs (as well as weapons) aid in different play styles. The main choices players make regarding animal orbs usually follow these four points:
- Fighter: Animal orbs that increase attack are favored by offensive melee players.
- Fighter: Animal orbs that increase defense are favored by players that want more defense. This also helps make the main campaign easier to get through.
- Thief: Animal orbs that increase agility are favored by players that use Hit-and-Run Tactics, and/or heavy use of the bow.
- Mage: Animal orbs that increase Magic are favored by players who prefer to use magic attacks most of the time.
I'm not sure what to respond with this, as I was thinking that this probably needs an edit, but since there are two definitions for the "Fighter" part, would it be preferred to merge these as one description paragraph for "Fighter"?
Thank you for understanding this part.
Edited by JustNormalMusicLoveropenCharacter pages Videogame
I'm making character pages for My Time at Sandrock and the characters have in game flavour text. I understand the no c&p rules, but isn't this flavour text the best way to describe the characters in the way the devs intended? Is there a way I can use this text without copyright infringement?
opennamespace problem Videogame
Normally the Video Game namespace is written as VideoGame, right? The namespace for the 2013 Tomb Raider game is Videogame.Tomb Raider 2013. No, it's not a redirect, that's what it writes on the url.

openHard CPU described as "Unfair", but... Videogame
While on trying to look at the other work pages that I could use as reference to edit a work page I often frequently edit, I found this on Mario Superstar Baseball:
That does seems to be not explaining well, at least to my eyes, which probably might be a Zero-Context Example, but then, however, I found some external stuff:
- An external discussion about
how "easy" the CPU is on the hardest difficulty (Powerful), arguably might go into it's own trope, Artificial Stupidity, but short sum: the hardest CPU isn't as strong as you'd think if you played correctly.
- And a certain Twitter tweet
that says the CPU can indeed cheat by performing charge swings without actually charging. However, the tweet which was used as reference, was deleted by it's author.
I think I'll need help from everyone who knows to help with what do we do with the entry, I still have no idea how should I edit it. Thank you for the attention!
Edited by JustNormalMusicLoveropenBrewing edit war Videogame
An example of Child Prodigy on Genshin Impact: Tri-Commission originally added by the troper Lightning Unicorn 08 was recently removed. Genshin Impact has no canonical ages for its characters, so the example cited how other characters refer to the character Heizou as evidence that he was a teenager. The editor who removed it, Duchess Snow, found that unconvincing, and explained their logic — he's a police detective by trade, co-founder of a detective agency, and an elder person could believably call their junior a "brat" while both are adults — in the edit reasons when they removed it. The example was subsequently reinstated by a different editor, Sumeragi Sh 1 D3n, who invoked the trope Improbable Age.
I personally am inclined to favor the example's removal, but more important than my opinion is nipping this in the bud before it becomes a whole thing.
Edited by PerseusopenChange folder in Flight Rising? Videogame
There's getting to be a lot of new shopkeeper npcs in Flight Rising, and the npc character folder is getting quite long. I'm wondering if it's alright if i split it into two folders; One for the grand exchange and one for the crossroads, so it's more specific about which character folders are from where
Edited by TheLuckOfTheClawsopenCreate a separate page for examples of some trope Videogame
I want to create a separate page for Awesome, but Impractical examples of DA:ZW, seeing how the number of them has grown a lot. Apologies for a noob question, I just couldn't find any info on how to do it.
Edited by VR456openWork page has too little trope examples. Videogame
The page for Contact has only four trope examples. Despite its lengthy description it's basically a stub. I don't know the game so I can't possibly add any more examples. What to do?
openCharacter Specific Page Dash? Videogame
While we're on the subject actually the header for all the other hero character pages has a dash between Resident Evil and their names. Is there a way to add that for Claire's page as well?
openIs this actually Adaptational Modesty? Videogame
In many pages related to Pokémon Masters, two tropers (or possibly one with two accounts) has been saying Gardenia's in-game model
◊ is censored compared to her original art
◊ due to the undershirt being a bit longer, and has been placing it under Adaptational Modesty. Personally, I find this case to not be an example of censorship and I feel it is a Downplayed version of Adaptational Modesty at best, but the troper in question, dawndusk, reverted my edit
without giving a summary. This is the original edit
(and troper, snowsky) that added the trope to Gardenia's page.
So, I ask the people who know best. Is this actually Adaptational Modesty, or just a case of someone being a tad too upset with an art style shift?
EDIT in case img links don't work:
EDIT 2: Added troper usernames and fixed links
Edited by Maj_SpoileropenConflicting Examples Videogame
Hellboy: The Science of Evil has examples for both No Problem With Licensed Games and The Problem with Licensed Games and I wouldn't think they can both be true.
- No Problem with Licensed Games: While it isn't a great example, it is definitely better than the other Hellboy licensed games, with Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones voicing the characters as they did in the films.
- The Problem with Licensed Games: While it was made from the makers and cast of the film duology, it wasn't programmed very well.
I've no played the game myself but I'd would seem better to combine them into something like:
- The Problem with Licensed Games: While it is definitely better than previous Hellboy games and it benefits from being made by the makers and cast of the film duology, with Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones reprising their role, it still wasn't programmed very well.
Or vice versa, since that example seems to come across slanted towards it being good. As I say I haven't play the game so I don't know what the issues with it were.
resolved Trying to create a page for a game not many people know about Videogame
Hey, I'm pretty much new to being a TV Tropes member and I'm trying to make a Work Page for a game that I played a year or so ago but I don't know how to start creating one.
I've tried editing the Name Space Goes Here page in https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Administrivia/HowToCreateAWorkPage?from=Administrivia.HowToCreateAWorksPage
but it's locked from editing
And there's no "Create Page" button or anything so what am I supposed to do??
open Character Sheet Videogame
There's still three characters missing from the Galaxy Angel II character sheet, in the forms of two surviving members of the group previously led by Anise's late parents and Natsume's younger sister Yuzu.

I've had plans to whip our page for Incredibox into shape, and my first plan of action is to replace the current, outdated page image with a more recent one. Any ideas for images I could use, and how do I change page images?
