openBroken Ace Anime
Another trope and I are having a disagreement about whether or not Goku Black fits under Broken Ace. This is the entry in question:
- Broken Ace: When he was Zamasu, he was an up and coming Supreme Kai who was promoted from a regular Kai. His fighting talent was so great that he was only a little weaker than Super Saiyan 2 Goku, after he'd absorbed god energy and whose base from is stronger than Super Buu. After losing to Goku in a friendly sparring match, his sanity shattered and he becomes obsessed with Goku and spreading his form of justice. To that end, he murdered his master to get the Time Ring, takes Goku's body using the Super Dragon Balls, and then murders Goku and his family. Although Zamasu, now Goku Black, is stronger than he ever was before, he isn't sane anymore, especially with his rapid mood-swings. He is also still obsessed with Goku to the point of mimicking his mannerisms, fighting style, and techniques.
Snowy 66 comment out the trope under this edit: : Broken Ace is very specific. They need to be The Ace on the surface like a mask, but on the inside they're something completely different, either full of self loathing or a hidden villain. Black doesn't use The Ace persona as a mask, he completely shows his true colors.
Thing is, he kind of does giving that he stole someone else's identity, name, is still sore about losing a sparring match. He's also not sane despite trying to act like he is.
open 80s PBS Kids Show about a robot/spaceman? Anime
I think it was a spaceman or maybe a robot who landed or maybe crashed in a field and now has a tiny puppet mouse as a friend? I think the show was focused on math.
Edited by InsidiousToadletopenAdding a folder to a work that is not there Anime
The Anime page of Mega Man NT Warrior
is missing a folder for the Battle Story Rockman.EXE section, even though it was mentioned in the main description. Seeing how it's only obtainable in Japanese and French and I have the (French version) books, I can make a folder for the English crowd? Or is it not allowed to make a folder of works outside of English?
open''Anime/DragonBallSuper'' on DarknessInducedAudienceApathy Anime
Looks like Peridonyx has added a Dragon Ball Super on the DarknessInducedAudienceApathy.Anime And Manga page which was previously deleted on the YMMV.Dragon Ball Super entry simply because of how it only applies because of the ending. Should that entry be removed?
Edited by Loekman3openApplying the "Source Media title has Priority" guideline Anime
The anime adaptation of Manga.Kiniro Mosaic has been officially translated by Sentai Filmworks in 2013, but Yen Press' manga translation only released yesterday. There are some differences between how the names were romanized between the versions, in some cases not de minimis by the standards of Spell My Name With An S.
My question is: are there any guidelines, etc., that recommends using the name used by the source medium, or things of this nature should be handled by consensus? Not that this change, on its own, would be controversial, but I can't rule out similar situations that can cause Edit Wars.
open comic, art style similar to that of cartoon network shows Anime
there was this one specific point, where the character walks in and says "it was all like" then she spits lava all over while saying "aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh" she was a taller green skinned character with yellow horns I thing, she wears a black robe.
openDifference between Unintentionally Sympathetic and Misaimed Fandom? Anime
What's the difference between Unintentionally Sympathetic and Misaimed Fandom, if any? A YMMV.Yu Gi Oh edit I made about fans sympathizing with Seto Kaiba when the story paints him as a jerk who's not meant to be liked, albeit with a tragic backstory and some Pet the Dog moments (I put it under Unintentionally Sympathetic) was deleted on accounts of 'he's a jerk', but the same basic stuff is under Misaimed Fandom on the same page so i was wondering what the difference is. (Fans sympathize with Thief King Bakura for similar reasons, minus the pet the dog stuff.)

There's discussion in Headscratchers and name-calling.... link
Can someone clean it out? I was about to visit it for the No, Except Yes clean-up and it looks like it needs an hour of cleaning.
open Electric Tale of Pikachu is for kids or not for kids Anime
Would Electric Tale of Pikachu count as What Do You Mean It's For Kids? or the opposite. This one confuses me because it's states it's a shonen which is considered for teenagers most of the time as there's already something called children's manga.

openRE: Debating Content in Work Entries Anime
Recently, I came across content in the character section for a work that seems to contradict my understanding of the story. While it doesn't reflect my interpretation of what happened in the material, I want to verify how the contributor reached their conclusion before deleting their work. Since it's not really a Trope Repair issue, I was writing to see where would be an appropriate place to get a conversation going regarding this issue. Thanks!
openOrder Lupin III page Anime
I see that many example are doubled in the Lupin III page. Can i suggest of move the tropes list from Lupin III (every series has already his personal page) to Lupin III?
open What anime is this? Anime
I saw a couple of episodes of a series at an anime club meetup a few years back. This would have been sometime between 2010 and 2013. The series shows a young man's first two years of college, but every episode is like an alternate timeline where he picks up a different hobby. The first episode has him joining the cycling team, and the second has him getting involved in a prank war.
open Avoiding an Edit War, "The Stoic" page Anime
Hey, I edited the "Axis Powers Hetalia" entry of The Stoic page, and not only fixed the Incorrect Example Indentation, but provided context where there was none, corrected factual errors and fixed poor grammar. My changes were immediately reverted to the previous incorrect form by Meepie V with no reason given, and I restored the changes. I'm concerned that the person in question will try and revert the changes again, and don't want to be accused of Edit Warring. So I'm posting this here for a mod to keep watch or handle it however they see fit. I'm new to the site and don't know all of the ropes quite yet.
openStatistics sources Anime
Hi, Was reading the trope page of 'This Bites' by the Cross-Brain Group (Xomniac, CV 12 Hornet and The Patient One) and it was mentioned that 'This Bites' is the number 1 rated One piece fic, the number rated Self-Insert fic and the number 9 (or 7) fic overall on Fanfiction.net. Was wondering if you could send me a link to the source page you got your statistics from?
openTo Cut or Not to Cut Anime
While adding an entry to Cross Player, I noticed that several entries for the .hack animes were in the video game folder. While moving them to the correct places, and adding namespaced links because they weren't there already, I discovered something odd.
The .hack//Roots anime doesn't actually have a page. I wouldn't sweat this normally, just add a Anime/DotHackRoots redlink and let wiki magic to the rest (I don't know the series well enough myself to trope it). That's when I saw it didn't redlink. Looking into that, it took me to an "inexact title" page w here I discovered while there's no page for the anime, there is a Tearjerker.Dot Hack Roots connected to both the main TearJerker.Anime And Manga page and to TearJerker.Dot Hack.
Given that there's no work page for it to go with, I was thinking Cut the Tearjerker.Dot Hack Roots while moving the content over to a folder in TearJerker.Dot Hack so it isn't just lost and can possibly be moved later if a .hack//Roots page does come up later. However, I wanted to double check that this was the right process or that there wasn't some other step I should look into before submitting the page to be Cut.
openWhere is it? Anime
In the TV Tropes page on Villain Songs, it says there was a song made for Android 18 from Dragon Ball Z. However, I can't seem to find the song. Does anybody know where it is?
open Abridged Continuity Anime
I have seen in various abridged series (YGOTAS, DBZA, etc.) that the abridge makers would sometimes reinterpret some aspect of the series and make a connection between two seemingly unrelated events. As an example, the original Yugioh anime made no connection between Joey's and Noah's backstories. But the abridged series first made a joke about Joey forcing his sister to learn to drive, and only years later when the Noah arc came was it revealed that Joey's forced driving instructions actually put Noah in a coma. Is there a trope like this?

One troper added the trope What Beautiful Eyes on the Beyblade Burst Character Page to a couple characters. While they do have pretty eyes, no one in universe ever comments on them. Is it still okay to use that trope for them?
