openSo, is Analysis.FriendshipIsMagicBackgroundPonies misuse of the Analysis namespace? Western Animation
I was on a Wick Check hunt when I found Analysis.Friendship Is Magic Background Ponies, and, is this an appropriate use of the Analysis namespace? I've never seen Analysis used for straight-up Fanon before.
For the record, I would feel pretty bad if this got entirely deleted - it's very thorough, someone clearly spent a lot of time working on this, and I wouldn't say it's really off mission for the site to document fanon, and as a non-Brony who's had to parse through deep Brony lore before in Wick Checks and cleanups, honestly this was a pretty worthwhile read for me (if just to understand some context on who, say, Lyra and Bon Bon are), I just don't think the Analysis namespace is the place. Maybe Just For Fun would be a better place for it?
Edited by MissConductresolved Persistent Hellaverse miscategorization issue Western Animation
AudioSpeaks2 has been consistently categorizing works within the Hellaverse as being Horror or at the very least Horror Comedy. I'm not really sure what is compelling him to list them as such, because the universe is pretty firmly a Black Comedy setting that occasionally has scary moments, like a large number of other non-horror shows. I am under the apprehension that belonging to the Horror genre or one of its subgenres requires a work to be predominantly focused on being scary, which a cursory viewing of any Hellaverse media demonstrates it to clearly not be. If I could either get confirmation that this is incorrect or help understanding the rationale behind this categorization that would be appreciated.
Edited by ReginaldOgron5openRenaming and redirecting Aladdin pages Western Animation
So I have been moving content from some "Franchise.Aladdin" subpages to "Franchise.Aladdin Disney" subpages, only to distinguish from Literature.Aladdin. I once requested Characters.Aladdin to be cut because everything was already moved to Characters.Aladdin Disney. But it got declined and it turned into a redirect instead. I do not know what to do with the old ones. Should I turn them into redirects, too?
Edited by PAPERBOAT2001openSarah's TheScrappy status Western Animation
So, Sarah's status as The Scrappy on the YMMV subpage of Ed, Edd n Eddy is invalid because she's meant to come off as a Hate Sink.
My take with Hate Sink supporting characters is that they can be done in a good way through them receiving some form of comedic retribution as catharsis for their nasty behavior, or their Jerkass personality is so enjoyable to watch in a Love to Hate kind of way.
I think the reason Sarah is so unpopular is because she's neither of these things. She's a generic Spoiled Brat who is always a Karma Houdini, and not even the voice actress can do much to bring charm to Sarah since she's always screaming her lines in that loud raspy voice. In general, she's just not a character people enjoy watching and don't wanna watch her at all.
I also have to admit, this show has an on-and-off issue with making Jerkass characters enjoyable to watch, particularly in the later seasons.
Edited by GoodbyeDylanresolved About Mickey Mouse's non-Disney works... Western Animation
Hey! It's me again with yet another Mickey question
!
So in the franchise page for Mickey Mouse, there's a section about non-Disney works, which are about derivative works made after (the 1928 versions of) the mouse became public domain. The page itself indexes the Disney-made works over the non-Disney ones (which I completely understand and I support for them to still being the only ones indexed there), but since there are now many non-Disney Mickey works that have pages (Mickey's Mouse Trap, The Vanishing of S.S. Willie, Captain Willie, Infestation: Origins, Inverse Ninjas VS. The Public Domain, Mousetrapped and the many pre-2024 works that feature Mickey's 1928 designs, such as Suicide Mouse and Mickey Mouse in Vietnam), should we make a separate page for them to be indexed so it would be easier to search for and find them in other pages instead of going to the "Related" tab in each of the works' pages and then go to Mickey's franchise page to search for one work? Maybe something like Non-Disney Works/Mickey Mouse, or something?
Edited by UzarNaimBer15openMore Dalmatian Street complaining Western Animation
While looking at the page for reviews, I found this one
for 101 Dalmatian Street. Reading it, especially at the end where the tropers says that Cruella saved the franchise, lead me to remember this ATT report
I made a couple of years ago, and sure enough, it's the same person.
Looking through their history
again, throughout the month they have made more
edits complaining about the show, including one
that I'm pretty sure is a misuse of You Were Trying Too Hard. They also removed examples from at least the awesome
and funny
moments pages, as well as an example involving the show on ArchEnemy.Western Animation here
, all of which lack edit reasons.
Sorry if this isn't important...
Edited by fraggleloveropenInconsistent Recap numbering Western Animation
Invincible (2021) has a weird quirk where the season 2 episodes are all numbered wrong in their URL. That's because between seasons there was a special, and our recap page for it numbered it S2, E1.
This means the Season 2 episode labeled 1 on the recap page has the URL of S02E02. It's odd and irregular, both on this wiki and for anything else related to the series. Hell, it's irregular between the Recap page and the individual recaps themselves.
Edited by LarkmarnopenPotential gushing via Ms Fanservice Western Animation
I was looking at the characters page for The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and I noticed multiple female characters have Ms. Fanservice entries attached to them. A lot of the entries boil down to "she's a hot woman in typical superhero/spy garb", and while it's been a while since I've seen the show, I don't remember these specific characters being played up for fanservice. For an example, here's the one I found in Ms. Marvel's folder:
- Ms. Fanservice: She is a beautiful blonde haired woman who wears a costume that highlights her body.
Additionally, while I think she does qualify for the trope, the entry in Madame Viper's folder comes off as a particularly egregious example of gushing/lust:
- Ms. Fanservice: Viper is a very beautiful woman with dark green hair and lipstick who wears a very form-fitting jumpsuit that accentuates her voluptuous yet toned body, buxom breasts, toned broad shoulders, and long toned legs.
I'm pretty sure I should delete and/or rewrite these entries (especially Viper's), but again, I haven't seen the show in a bit, and I wanted a second opinion.
openWind in the Willows page title Western Animation
After looking up some information about the Rankin-Bass Wind in the Willows I found it was first completed
in 1983, not 1985 as the page says. The problem is there's already a page for a different adaptation that was also from 1983, so I'm not sure how this should be resolved.
openItalics didn't work in my most recent edit. Western Animation
I just did a recent edit in The Pink Panther but when I tried to make a title into italics the formatting didn't work. I even tried looking up the markup help but it didn't have instructions on how to make bold or italicized words (it used to have them, I don't know where they went). Can someone tell me what I did wrong? I put the title between two apostrophes like I was supposed to and how the other examples had them.

openQuestionable Loud House Entry + Edit War in Not Using The Z-Word Western Animation
So a couple of years back in Not Using the "Z" Word, Andresnator added this:
- As a non-zombie genre example, "The Loud House" freatures LGBTQ charcters(Gays, Lesbains, Bisexuals,Transexuals, etc), thought these are never refered by those names.
I fixed some grammatical errors and outdated terms before the entry was deleted with the reason "This isn’t unique to the show, and really doesn’t fit here anyway"
Andresnator added it again with the reason "LGBT terms never used in The Loud House.", and I admittedly forgot my own edit and readjusted any errors in the re-entry.
Regardless, I felt it was time I take matters to my own hands and bring this here.
Edited by RedBerryBlueCherryopenReporting an edit war Western Animation
About a year ago on the The Dragon Prince: Main Characters page, the user Bluelys changed
the header for the main heroes from “Callum’s group” to “The Dragang”. I reverted
it back because “The Dragang” is merely a Fan Nickname for the group and is not the group’s official name.
A few months later, Bluelys changed
the header again, this time to “Team Zym”, which is just another Fan Nickname for the group. This ended up getting reverted
by the user, D Carlen 2991 for the exact same reason.
Today, I saw that Bluelys has once again changed
the header to “Dragang”, which as I have already explained is just a Fan Nickname for the group and not the group’s official name, and has now started an edit war.

The Trivia/Xcalibur page says that the show got a Occitan dub, however i can't find anymore info on the Internet aside from it, the editor is inactive so i can't ask them about it.
openThis "Does This Remind You of A" Entry in Smiling Friends Western Animation
So, there is an entry in the President Jimble section of the Smiling Friends: Clients that goes like this:
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: He pretty much combines the worst qualities and accusations of presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
- Like Trump, Jimble is a Fat Slob in an ill-fitting suit with ego-centered problems and selfish motivations, abused the "presidential alert" system, endorses a widely-condemned foreign dictator and is widely condemned by the international community and local media.
- Like Joe Biden, Jimble is a former Vice President coasting on his predecessor's goodwill, constantly making verbal gaffes during speeches, undermined by his health issues, under fire for supporting a foreign leader who's widely condemned by the international community while, at the other end, receiving extreme support from local media.
Should this be on the page since it sounds a little too political for the general characters' page (granted, the episode that features President Jimble is political, but the episode never made this distinction).
openIs this Adaptational Attractiveness example valid? It's kind of subjective Western Animation
See this example on Batman: Caped Crusader:
- Adaptational Attractiveness: Harvey/Two-Face’s iconic scar tissue in the trailer is much less graphic than other depictions, looking more much more pale and mud-looking.
But this same example is listed as Nausea Fuel on the YMMV, which notes that his face still looks very disturbing.
I know "attractiveness," for lack of a better word, is subjective, but I'm inclined to agree more with the Nausea Fuel entry. I think his design in this series looks more "real" and visceral than his look in, say, Batman: The Animated Series.
How do we handle this?
Edited by DrNoPuma

Months ago, I removed a lot of examples from the Disney Subpage of Warp That Aesop. Most of the examples weren’t even about warping aesops. They were just ccharacter bashing and complaining.
Melancholy Utopia added a lot of the examples back without even vetting the examples.
