Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Ask the Tropers is for:
- General questions about the wiki, how it works, and how to do things.
- Reports of problems with wiki articles, or requests for help with wiki articles.
- Reports of misbehavior or abuse by other tropers.
Ask the Tropers is not for:
- Help identifying a trope. See TropeFinder.
- Help identifying a work. See MediaFinder.
- Asking if a trope example is valid. See the Trope Talk forum.
- Proposing new tropes. See TropeLaunchPad.
- Making bug reports. See QueryBugs.
- Asking for new wiki features. See QueryWishlist.
- Chatting with other tropers. See our forums.
- Reporting problems with advertisements. See this forum topic.

So the example list for the recent film Interstellar (I know Examples Are Not Recent, but I thought it worth mentioning since the page is probably relatively young as a result) groups Slippy-Slidey Ice World and Roaring Rapids as sub-tropes under a "Planet Tropes" bullet. It's not wicked, nor is it a trope to my knowledge.
So, should I:
- Remove the main bullet and sort the sub-bullets as top-level examples accordingly,
- Change the main bullet to Single-Biome Planet and move it accordingly, or
- Do something else?
EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure the second bullet is the wrong answer, since you're not supposed to group tropes under Super-Tropes. It screws up the alphabetization.

I tried to make a YMMV part of the movie of the "judge" and moved the bit of Dwight being lawful neutral to the YMMV but it didn't work out the way I was accepting(ei:most YMMV are colored grey and the YMMV sign normally shows up on the page itself) also yeah this is the first time I attempted of making a YMMV page(also making my first movie page.)
Anyway yeah the question could you guys please help me out with making the YMMV page?

Considering how disappointed some feel with news like Edgar Wright not directing Ant-Man anymore, and/or Captain America 3 adapting a polarizing comic storyline, does it seem like time to reword the introduction of AndTheFandomRejoiced.Marvel Cinematic Universe?

uncommented some ZC Es on the 12 Angry Men
page. I've already warned him about it before, and figured the message went through when he added information to the two context-less examples he put up. Apparently not.

For the record, does an official rule advise against keeping And the Fandom Rejoiced pages clean of news that caused a Broken Base? I noticed AndTheFandomRejoiced.New Media has a warning not to list the end of Demo Reel for this reason, but AndTheFandomRejoiced.Marvel Cinematic Universe lists a number of events that might not please all fans (eg, the revelation of a third Mandarin, the news of a Civil War adaptation).

deathmaster87 appears to be running with that inane cloud-to-butt text filter. I've cleaned up its effects on H.E.R., but I haven't had an opportunity to examine his editing history, yet. At the very least, he had it active three days ago when editing that page.
ETA: I just skimmed through the past year's (or so) worth of edits, and I'm not seeing any other instances of the filter at work. No further cleanup should be necessary, other than making sure he disables the plug-in while editing.

Could someone please help me find the discussion that led to Wreck It Ralph getting its own And the Fandom Rejoiced page, if such a discussion exists?

Okay, I'm just gonna ask, I've been looking at Film A To M and I came across this... is this a good entry for Wallbangers or does it just come off as complaining?
"Maleficent oh dear god Maleficent, so The self proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil" and who commands all The Power of Hell turns out to not be all that bad and is actually good? And The Fairies are incompetent morons who endanger Aurora instead of being the loving and doteful caretakers? I'm gonna need an Aspirin the size of her Dragon Form to get over this headache. Walt Disney is rolling in his Grave."
I feel like it's the latter.

Well, I just screwed up. I went to make a work page for the film Call Her Savage—but I stupidly put it in the Main namespace instead of Film. I'm going to go ahead and make a Film page, but I guess someone will have to put the Main page Call Her Savage on the cut list. Sorry.

Somebody please explain to the SJW who calls herself Superchristiana that we're not justifying any movie's sexism and that all we're doing is enforcing the Citations Rule for
Unfortunate Implications.

Someone confirm this, please? Works pages are not supposed to be created in the Main namespace, aye?
I only ask because Robot Holocaust already exists under Film, but for whatever reason the trope list has been copypasted into a Main page. Is this correct, or possibly a misunderstanding re: the nature of redirects?

After adding a sub-entry to the Fridge section of The Dark Knight Saga, I noticed that the font for the Fridge Logic folder was all wrong, a single example was visible under that folder, and Fridge Horror was missing entirely. I checked the source code to see if I or someone else had deleted a huge chunk inadvertently, and to my relief, the part I thought was missing was still there. Must be a glitch or something.

I'm about to make a work page for the Alfred Hitchcock film Murder!, which is going to need a custom title. When I enter the name in the custom title tool, do I need to use the {{ and }} brackets, since it's a one-word title with no CamelCase?

Does an official rule exist against adding He Really Can Act entries to movies' YMMV pages? I noticed one disappeared from YMMV.Guardians Of The Galaxy, only to reappear with new wording.
