Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

veriaqa have three edits in their edit history. The first is put Dragon Ball GT as an Ascended Fanfic example in the Dragon Ball page(day: 12 Nov). The second is put a Mary Sue example in the Streets Of Rage page(Day: 28 Nov). And the third is remove the same Mary Sue example of the Streets Of Rage YMMV page.

This is something that I think qualifies, but now I'm starting to wonder, so I figured that I would ask.
Spoilers for the new Muppet Movie.
In the movie, during a telethon to save the day, Camilla and her chick friends cluck Ce Lo Green's "Fuck You", but because it's clucking, well... Would that be an in-universe version of Getting Crap Past the Radar? Because it's not just about what we are seeing as the audience, and laughing at that, it's also something that is happening on TV in the movie's universe.
So, would putting it on the page for the movie make sense as "Getting Crap Past the Radar, an in-universe occurrence is..." (or something to that effect?

Catchandelier34 decided to prematurely launch the Ykttw(Face of an angel, mind of a demon) that I was Sponsoring. Much earlier, I had placed the No Launching Please tag at the top of the draft in bold. All he did was make a comment and then launch it, without actually adding the page.
When I noticed this, I went ahead and made the new page. However, now that I look at it, it still needs a bit of work in Ykttw. Would a mod mind Un-Launching it?

There's a bit of an edit war going on on the The Muppets page regarding whether or not tropes from promotional materials and tie-ins should be on the page.
So, should they?

Just a clarification question- the pages, are they for in-universe examples, out of universe examples, or both?
For example, in The Muppets, the chickens sing "Cluck You". This was put on the main page as an in-universe example that was applicable to the film itself (i.e., the chickens are singing it on that universe's television) and it was put on the The Muppets page for existing as the song (out-of-universe), implying that it's radaring the people watching the movie, and not the people in-universe, if this makes sense. The version on the main page was deleted, with the note that it was deleted because there was already a mention of the fact that the chickens were singing that song as an out-of-universe moment of radaring, but no mention of the in-universe radaring.
So my question is this; should mention go on both pages as it's an in-universe and out-of-universe trope, or should it all be on the radar page with mention that it has both in-universe and out of universe applicability?

Insignificant has been zapping YMMV tropes from the main page without moving them to the YMMV namespace (as with his recent edits of Mai Otome and Rocket Girls that I stumbled across). Isn't this against policy?

Edit war start in Pokémon. Lily Nadesico 2(Day:30 Nov, edit reason:"Why were Karma Houdini and Strong As They Need To Be removed?") put again two tropes removed by Centimental(Day: 23 Oct, edit reason: "ever heard of Character Sheets? They've been around for a LONG TIME already.")

It looks like someone launched a trope called Pervy Monk, which apparently already exists under Dirty Old Monk. Do I ask for a cutlisting for the duplicate, or does this need a TRS thread?

On the Tropes Of Legend page, it says a Manipulative Bastard is a villian who manipulates other's emotions. But on the trope page it has Batman as the trope picture. Is the picture or the definition wrong? Or am I just confused?

Regarding namespaces - there's currently a stub for Papa No Iu Koto Wo Kikinasai in the Anime namespace. The anime version of it hasn't aired yet (it's scheduled for winter 2012). However, there is already a light novel series and a manga series. I wanted to fill out the page for it, but anything I add obviously couldn't be based on the anime, since it doesn't exist yet. So.... what's the best thing to do with it? Create a new page in the Manga namespace? (And get the stub deleted?) Just use the existing page, even though the anime doesn't even exist yet? Something else?
Thanks.

Two separate questions here:
What's the proper namespace for a Made-for-TV Movie?
Also, I've got an article on a documentary I want to add, but I'm not sure what the proper namespace would be for documentaries. Are they regarded as films even when broadcast on TV?

I am not sure if this is the place to ask for it, but the German Translation of Creator's Pet, Der Wesley has still the character-based name for it even after Trope Repair Shop agreed to change the name of the English version to Creator's Pet. Can the regular Trope Repair Shop also be called on translated pages, or are such changes to be proposed/executed in a specific place or thread? And by extension, do the normal wiki tools (e.g calling a mod) apply even to pages of the Translation Project or are there specific tools?
