Okay, I've just completed a massive edit on YMMV.Doki Doki Precure. However, it has now left a ZCE in the form of {Shipping}}. The reason it's now a ZCE is because I relocated the YMMV items that were once underneath it due to being Example Indentation In Trope Lists. I was wondering if it's safe to remove the ZCE entry for Shipping since several other shipping tropes are present on the page. Or would it be better to just comment it out?

How do I deal with potentially copyright-infringing text?
Specifically, I noticed the lead of LightNovel. Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon contains large amounts of materials from Yen Press' blurb
for the licensed novelnote Specifically paragraphs 2-5 of the lead is lifted completely from Volume 1's blurb. I am not knowledgeable with the work enough to re-author the lead, unfortunately.

FAQ #5 of How to Create a Work's Page stated this wiki "prefer[s] to use the English titles where applicable." While I understand this guideline is not very strictly enforced in manga/anime (but I've seen articles moved before because of this), I'm now seeing a strange case here that I don't know this guideline is to be applied.
Kotoura-san is mostly known by English audiences by its 2013 anime, and the legal streaming site Crunchyroll kept its title as it is
, and so does the Kindle-only manga translator. As a result, (IMO) the work doesn't have an officially-translated English title. The problem is today, NIS America announced
they will license that anime after more than 2 years, and give it a translated title The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura.
Would this rename per se trigger the application of FAQ #5? To note: without the guideline I won't even consider making the redirect, as I believe that title won't get much currency.

Would using a work's promotional blurb fall under fair use as far as copyright goes?
I ask because this
work's page had pretty much its entire description commented out for being a copyright infringement. Now, while I definitely think using the publisher's promotional blurb is sloppy work, I'm fairly certain it's covered by fair use and definitely better than nothing.
Without the commented out bits, the description said literally nothing about the plot, thus making it 100% useless as far as our mission goes.

I'm trying to put in a quote on the Rin-ne Character sheet page, but I just can't figure out how to format it. I've tried reading the formatting rules, but I just can't get it to look right. If someone could help, that would be great. The quote is under "Failure is the Only Option" in Rinne's folder.

Hello,
I ran into this a couple of times and I wanted to know the site's official policy on this subject.
I know the official English spelling is just as viable as the Japanese spelling of a character's name and which one that is use is left up to the troper's preference. So, what do you do when someone goes on a purity edit, namely changing all the names on a page from the English spelling to the Japanese ones? The first couple of times this happened, I just PM the person who did it and told them that it was rude since the English spelling was just as viable as the Japanese and they had no right making such blanking changes. Recently, I changed the page back to its original form because someone went as far as changing the episodes titles to the Japanese titles, which I thought was going way too far.
For future dealings on this subject, how should I react? Should I just give P Ms like I have been doing or should I change the page back if it goes really too far?

Are Works and Creator pages supposed to be listed on a work's trope list? I'm asking this because Super Robot Wars and CLAMP are tropes for Code Geass

Working on doing some crosswicking for a manga, Shinozaki-san Ki wo Ota Shika ni! and had a question.
Intially, I wasn't prepared to migrate to its English name, mostly because there isn't an official English name for this series at all yet.
What I was wondering was if it would be permissible to create a redirect using the English translated title (as shown on the trope page), Don't Become an Otaku Shinozaki-san!, which I've been using as a pothole in preparation for a possible migration later.
On the other hand, it occurs to me now that if I do create such a redirect, would it be simpler to just migrate to the translated English title anyway, even if it's not official? (On one manga site I found the series on it does show the title in both Japanese and English, so that could make it official...)

Where should we index YMMV items (Awesome, Heartwarming, etc.) for Korean Animation pages? Some have them on the YMMV tab and others on separate tabs, but there seems to be no real index for them, since they're not really anime or manga.
Leafie, a Hen into the Wild (on YMMV tab)
Cubix: Robots for Everyone (separate tabs)
Guardian Fairy Michel (separate tabs)

Heh. Folders can be a funny thing sometimes; Firefox's search feature didn't pick up the WMG I had just added for Pokémon, and I thought it was a keyboard thing (hitting the apostrophe key on some keyboard settings triggers an accent marker that appears over a letter if the right one is hit). Turned out, it wasn't. Weird.

Is Bait-and-Switch Lesbians really a non-YMMV trope? it seems too opinionated to be on a main page like this. It was actually the first entry posted on the page itself, before the trope was even made! :\

My Wife Is Wagatsuma San should go in the Manga namespace, there's no anime of it yet. I can move the content there, but what about the anime tab? Any way to delete or hide it for now?

rjsulll
is linking incorrectly to a vast array of trope pages. Instead of CamelCase, the troper is resorting to {{Linking This Way}} (which is reserved for single-word trope/work names and plural potholes only). Additionally, here
the troper added first-person natter. And here
they contested deliberately a Dethroning Moment entry from another troper (though that was already reverted).
Other than a few Headscratchers and WMG edits, that's all the troper has contributed so far, meaning that much of the edit history is red-flagged.

I am wondering, before attacking the namespacing of the remaining wicks, if Queen's Blade wouldn't fit better in the Franchise/ namespace than Anime/.

Some questionable edits going on, mostly about James.

I was trying to do an Japanese-to-English title migration from LightNovel.Ore No Nounai Sentakushi Ga Gakuen Love Come O Zenryoku De Jama Shiteiru to LightNovel. My Mental Choices Are Completely Interfering With My School Romantic Comedy but whenever I try to copy/paste the markup from one to the other, the English title page doesn't change. It still stays on a page saying
"We don't have an article named LightNovel/MyMentalChoicesAreCompletelyInterferingWithMySchoolRomanticComedy. If you want to start this new page, just click the edit button above. Be careful, though, the only things that go in the Main namespace are tropes. Don't put in redirects for shows, books, etc.. Use the right namespace for those."
Was the page previously cut or is it a page typing issue of some kind?
