resolved Fresh Precure description
Fresh Pretty Cure!'s description contains the following paragraph:
I was about to delete this for being critical reception in the work page description, but since it concerns the previous entry in the franchise and tries to tie it to Fresh's decision to revamp the franchise, I'm not sure if it falls within that policy.
Even if it doesn't, I still feel like the entire paragraph should be cut for the following reasons:
- It's contradicted by both the franchise's YMMV page (under Americans Hate Tingle) and an example in the Presumed Flop page. (This was crosswicked in [1]'s YMMV page, but was deleted here: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=YMMV.YesPrettyCure5&page=5#edit43385511
. Judging by the edit reason, the example seems to have been misunderstood, as it didn't claim Yes 5 was actually a franchise killer at all)
- I find it hard to believe that such drastic changes could've been done in reaction to a previous season's ratings.
- Comes off as a bit complainy.
- The middle bits contain trivia and review like sections.
- The last bit is a spoiler, literally no reason to include it.
resolved YMMV potholes
I have a general question about YMMV potholes on work and/or character pages. Since they can trigger warnings, should said potholes be removed altogether?
Edited by gjjonesresolved Dude Magnet Redirect
So I was editing on The Glory character page
and I noticed a troper changed Chick Magnet to Dude Magnet (because it was in a girl's folder). I wrote it was an inverted example obviously. I get that but isn't redirects involving change in alphabet order not good or should I leave it?
openTrivia regarding a translated title
So, the 1979 Czech adaptation of Beauty and the Beast Panna a netvor while officially translated to English with the usual name, actually uses different words for its title-more accurate translation would be "The Maiden and the Monster". This is *not* how the fairy tale is translated in Czech, which is "Kráska a zvíře". This is something that seems worth noting on the page, yet I struggle to think of how. Any suggestions?
resolved Keeping Audience Reaction to deleted work?
On May 6th, removed bunch of Nightmare Fuel entries
from NightmareFuel.SCP Foundation SC Ps 001 To 299, all of them are about deleted article, on the ground that they are no longer parts of the work (and being collaborative writing project, I think the articles on the wiki is close to web fic, and nowadays we move deleted fic to Darth/ which does not allow moment pages).
Today, Sor Pepita restored them
but pre-commented out. I sent them the pre-comment notifier, but guess this is a good time to ask around for opinion.
resolved Monster Strike needs a lot of help. Videogame
Monster Strike needs help for these reasons:
- Lacks tropes: Monster Strike has tons of characters, and thus a lot of tropes. The problem is there's TOO MANY of them. Just for reference, there's over 140 non-copied impossible+ characters (Impossible/Bakuzetsu/Gouzetsu/Reizetsu), assuming 1 trope for each character, that's still 140 tropes, and that's assuming only 1 trope for each characters and JUST these characters.
- Almost no one's contributing: for examples, the only contribution I have seen is from myself. Though this isn't much of a surprise because the game's very obscure outside of Japan, and I don't really see any Japanese tropers.
- Needs a split: Monster Strike is a multi media franchise with anime and video game. The problem is there's only the Video game namespace and not the anime.
- Needs extra namespaces: Currently there's only Tear Jerker, Wild Mass Guessing and Laconic namespaces.
- Monst Dictionary (provides backstory and lore for a good chunk of characters): https://dic.xflag.com/monsterstrike/
- Game official YouTube channel (could provide some Words of God and a few tropes): https://youtube.com/@monsterstrike
- Anime official YouTube channel (provides lore and tropes): https://youtube.com/@monst_animation
- Monster Strike wiki (English names and characters without Monst Dic profile): https://monster-strike-enjp.fandom.com/wiki/Monster_Strike_Wiki
resolved Possibly old Cartoon Network show where a female character is burned alive in a bonfire Western Animation
Hey everyone! I’ve been trying for years to figure out if a scene I saw as a kid was real or just a fever dream. I hope someone here can help me identify it.
What I remember:
I watched this episode sometime between 2016 and 2018, but I’m pretty sure the cartoon itself was much older, probably from the early/mid-2000s era (Billy and Mandy, Cow and Chicken, Courage the Cowardly Dog, etc.).
Channel: I’m almost certain it aired on Cartoon Network, but there’s a slight chance it might have been Nickelodeon.
The episode had an extremely dark and disturbing tone. The most vivid memory I have is of a female character (probably human) being thrown into a large bonfire by a group of other characters.
It happened at night, and the fire had huge flames. I distinctly remember her screams — they were loud, desperate, and very unsettling.
After she was burned, the other characters acted like it was normal — they seemed to be celebrating or socializing, totally unbothered.
The visual style was odd — it had low saturation, almost grayish tones. It stood out from typical colorful cartoons.
Art style: I can’t recall exactly, but it felt like something in between the smoother style of Teen Titans (2003) and more exaggerated cartoony animation.
I vaguely recall the girl begging or pleading before being thrown in, but nobody helped her.
What it wasn’t:
I’ve already checked and it’s definitely not: Billy and Mandy, Happy Tree Friends, Superjail!, or Courage the Cowardly Dog.
If this rings any bells, or if anyone remembers something similar, I’d really appreciate any leads — even if it turns out to be a lost episode, a banned scene, or just something obscure.
Thank you guys so much in advance!
Edited by ReconditeBoil434openCan Memetic Loser apply to creators? Print Comic
So I'm waffling on an edit I recently made that I realize might not be the right place for it. Nick Lowe, current editor-in-chief on all Spider-Man projects, has a reputation for just refusing to let Peter be happy in any capacity, to the point where I've seen a couple of Reddit threads joking that Lowe has a thing for NTR (anime fan term for Cuckolding) with the sheer amount of chaos that's been injected into Spider-Man's romantic life over the last few years, on top of some people disliking him dodging questions about a character getting Stuffed Into A Fridge at a comic convention. I don't see anything that says Memetic Loser can't apply to creators, and a couple of pages use it for the fandom, but I want to double-check.
resolved Character entries being duplicated Western Animation
So I moved some character entries on Characters. The Simpsons One Time Characters Seasons 1 To 10 to other character subpages for the show, as the characters in question has since served as Recurring Extras, but someone else added them back to the One Shot page
, but left the now duplicate entries on the other pages alone. What page should they be listed on?

openMissing Link has been cancelled.
The video game Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link has had a closed beta for a while now, and its own trope page. A couple of days ago, Square Enix announced its cancellation, and this news has been added to the trope pages summary.
I have several questions for how to deal with all this. Since the game got cancelled, does that mean the pages get cut? If not, what to do with the spoiler policy? I asked about that in the past
and was told we can't trope closed beta tropes, but there are multiple videos on You Tube of said beta. Is it possible to add those now if we keep the page?
Overall, I don't know the policy for cancellations.
resolved Tropes for deleted characters Film
The character sheets for Beauty and the Beast (1991) and Aladdin (1992, Disney) both have tropes for characters that were removed during production from the final versions of those respective films. The thing is, though, these characters (Belle's wicked sisters, the Genie of the Ring, etc.) were removed so early that there is very little to actually trope ("Abbi", Aladdin's original love interest in the prototype of the film, only has one trope listed, and the others only have four tropes at maximum). They seem to be there just to pad out the length of the pages, and I don't think they add anything of note. Would anyone mind if I removed them?

Edited by themayorofsimpletonresolved Should Fire and Ice get a Nightmare Fuel page? Western Animation
So, I was looking at the YMMV page for Fire and Ice (1983) and the Nightmare Fuel section on the page has many examples that could be enough to have it's own page. Should we make a Nightmare Fuel page for Fire and Ice (1983)?
openPeople constantly come to be negative on the Good News Thread.
I get wanting to be realistic and not just over gush over good news, but this is the umptiempth time someone just goes "Oh this isnt true, x is actually terrible." There are people that care and people that want to better the world. People dont have to constantly try to find the bad side. There are so many other threads people can do that in.
EDIT: Look it is very nice you like this topic, but these votes dont do anything, please post.

openMisnaming and stub.
Space Protagonist has been on a editing spree
for Fandom Heresy, creating new pages and moving examples. Most of it seems valid but:
- Fandom Heresy.Marvelcinematicuniverse: Bad namespace and only 4 examples.
- Fandom Heresy.Films: Formatting as "Film: S", any idea why?
Are those issues requiring attention?
openSoundtracks
If an already existing song appears on a soundtrack, does that count as a Shout-Out?
open Hybris Videogame
Alright, a crosswiki question. Ezekiel from Hybris has been proposed for CM status, but on TH, not here, and approved. I question, why isn't he listed there yet? (Video Games, H.) His entry on page 17 on a standalone article.
https://tropershub.forumotion.com/t37p900-cm-proposal-thread
Though I won't feel bad if that site doesn't add him, as fanfics aren't allowed and it may apply to irrelevant fan works, even if they don't take existent works and/or use a sizable amount of existent characters as characters of their works. Note, that the work was added recently here.
