openFan video on a character page? Videogame
On Wolfenstein Enemies character page, on Frau Engel, there's a point below Kick The Dog that is: "A short cartoon animated by Mashed actually shows her stomping on a kitten, guts and all. It's certainly not something she'd be above doing in the canon series." There's a link to the video too.
There's the description on the video that goes by: " This video was made with the support of Bethesda Softworks, a Zeni Max Media Company."
I don't know if I should delete since it's a fan-made video and sounds like advertising, or keep since the description reads like the company paid them to make it so it's technically official. I'm leaning on delete but I don't know about this sort of stuff.
Edited by RaddishesopenSub-page with the wrong namespace Videogame
The page AlternateCharacterInterpretation.Doki Doki Literature Club was given the wrong namespace: it should be Alternative Character Interpretation. Can I recreate this page correctly and cutlist the existing one, or does this need mod approval?
openShould this work page use the acronym? Videogame
The page for First Encounter Assault Recon uses the expansion, but nobody calls this series by that name. The series's name is "F.E.A.R.", that's what's on the box-art, that's what everybody calls it, so should this page be moved?
For comparison, it'd be like calling the TV show Marvel's Agents of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division.

openPossible Walkthrough Mode in Please Don’t Touch Anything? Videogame
The Multiple Endings section of Please, Don't Touch Anything seems to explain every little detail on how to get the endings. The game is rather short, but the entry appears to be much longer than it should be, as nearly the entire length of the page is taken up by it. This looks like an instance of what is referred to as Walkthrough Mode, which is not allowed in the wiki.
Can someone please look at the page and determine if the section needs trimming? And if so, can that person please do it, and please reply here to let me know that the job is done? I do not have the time, as I have to study for tests.
Edited by MasterNopenOdd Title: The Room Mobile Game Videogame
The title for the work "The Room" kinda rubs me the wrong way, as it has "Mobile Game" at the end of the work's name.
It like saying, "Dragonball Anime" or "Spongebob Cartoon" as a title for a work. However, I don't know if this thing should be taken into account.
Also "The Room" is also available for Windows and the Nintendo Switch. So the work is not just made for mobile.
Edited by SiouxLandoopenUnreliable WhatCouldHaveBeen Videogame
Trivia.Fallout New Vegas has two What Could Have Been entries that I can't find any sources supporting. While early demos do show the Strip as all one zone, I can't find anything saying this was the case for Freeside, though there are some Dummied Out Freeside NPCs like beggars and pickpockets.
- The Mysterious Stranger would have teleported in and instantly killed you if you tried to target the Lonesome Drifter in VATS.
- The New Vegas Strip and Freeside used to be whole zones by themselves. Early showcases of the game showed of the whole Strip, and it is also rendered that way in the intro cinematic. Freeside itself was a single massive zone, including a number of no-name generic NPCs and the Mormon Fort having open gates. Both instances were "sectioned off" due to the Xbox 360 and Play Station 3 not having the necessary processing power to render all the NPCs running around the Strip and Freeside without some serious slowdown or even game crashes. The Strip just had two gaudy scrap metal gates separating it into three zones. Freeside, however, got hit harder: fences/gates made from junked buses, the Mormon Fort was made its own zone, and NPCs were cut to reduce the memory problems. Appropriately, there are a pair of mods that convert the Strip and Freeside to their early open area builds.
openVillainDecay on Pokemon entry removed for no reason Videogame
So I added a VillainDecay.Video Games entry in video games regarding Ghetsis's role a while ago in Pokémon Black and White 2. However, xy0101 altered the entry in favor of doing it to Gruntilda for Banjo-Kazooie. The troper even copy pasted from my initial entry with only slight alterations and removed the Pokemon entry for no reason aside from "improvement". I decided to re-add my entry back but the troper re-deleted it again for no reason other than "improvement"
Edited by Loekman3openWord replacement plugin Videogame
On VideoGame.Dragon Quest XI, Leonia edited with a plugin that replaces "Trump" with "Von Clownstick", which resulted in "Trumpet" being replaced with "Von Clownsticket". I reverted the vandalism, but here's a courtesy link to the page's history
.
Also, I apologize if this is a duplicate report. I didn't read the page in question until very recently.
Edit: The same user added a ZCE for Fingerless Gloves to Characters.Dragon Quest XI (page history
). I commented it out.

Edited by NikoNikoopenSame, but different character(s) in the same franchise Videogame
Without going into heavy spoilers here, there's a game in a franchise that uses some of the same characters (even the protag), but they are vastly different from the original. This is because the game at the end reveals this takes place following a bad ending from the first game (for example, the protag is a cyborg instead of a normal human in the original) so I'm not sure if these characters require a new character folder for the new game, or I should add the tropes on their original character folder from the first game.
openDisagreement over an example Videogame
All right, so something is up on Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Specifically, the example refers to a line of dialogue that was changed
. In the original scene, the line was very explicit about what happened. However, in an update, it was changed to be more vague.
One Troper added it as an example of Bowdlerization, but another Troper (I don't have names, I apologize) removed the example, with an edit reason stating that the line change was a result of Woolseyism.
To my knowledge, it hasn't reached an edit war yet. (I haven't been patient enough to go through all the edit history yet.) However, I'm bringing it up here for clarification before anyone else ends up getting involved.
An edit for clarification, since it was brought up: In context, the line being debated over was Bernadetta discussing her past as an abuse victim, and the current issue is whether or not the change in her dialogue is censoring the abuse she went through or simply a translation quirk.
Edited by Blazer_the_DelphoxopenTropes for Madden 18/19's Longshot story mode Videogame
Where should they go? Should they be listed in a separate folder on the existing Madden NFL page, or should the (two-part) story mode get its own? The Subspace Emissary mode of Super Smash Bros. Brawl was originally its own page before it got merged back.
In my opinion, a synopsis of this campaign would feel out of place on the main Madden page.
Edited by EclipseMTopenIs Dead to Rights camp? Videogame
Hello all. I've been a big fan of the game Dead To Rights for quite sometime now. Also, I've been reading up and trying to absorb as much information I can on the concept of camp, including following links on the page.
My question is do you think the game qualifies as an example of camp and should it be added as an example to the Camp trope page? Should I give examples of why I think it's camp here?

openCorpse Party 2 not a visual novel Videogame
Based on screenshots
of Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient, it looks like a 3D Adventure Game, not a Visual Novel. Should it be moved to the VideoGame/ namespace? I see that VisualNovel.Corpse Party redirects to VideoGame.Corpse Party.

openLarge entries listing all possible references on ReferenceOverdosed Videogame
I've run into a couple of odd entries on the Reference Overdosed page, the first being in the Live Action Film folder for the movie Ted, and an absolutely gigantic entry in the Video Games folder for AdVenture Capitalist. Both are entirely comprised of blue links to works referenced by Ted and Adventure Capitalist; the former has at least 20 plus, while the latter has at least 100 to 180 or so (some of the referenced things are pizza chains, marketing mascots, and other miscellaneous stuff). The Adventure Capitalist one does have a note that's supposed to hide all of those links, but it's not working for some reason.

I have no idea how to even approach these. What are you supposed to do with entries like this?

According to https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Roger_Retinz

(aka Blaise Debeste) these two are Pure Evil, which is the Complete Monster equivalent on that site, why aren't they listed as such on TV Tropes?
openUnnecessary Spoiler Warnings Videogame
Several Crash Bandicoot pagesnote Crash Bandicoot (1996), Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, Crash Twinsanity, and Crash: Mind Over Mutant have spoiler warnings at the top of their pages.
Are these really necessary? The most recent game is over ten years old (not counting the recent remakes), the oldest is over twenty, and it's Crash Bandicoot, it's not exactly known for its story.

Hey,
I'm not sure if I already asked that at some point, but since I now also put an entry on the discussion page of BioWare which has not been responded to, I think an ATT thread is due. I've noticed that this page had a YMMV page multiple times and it got always taken down under the rationale that Creator pages shouldn't have them. However, I've also heard multiple times that they are allowed to have them, as long as its about their work. I think a YMMV page would be due, as pretty much all of their games since 2011 have been subject to at least some controversy.
By just looking at their main page, one would get the impression that they are still growing strong, as the sentence briefly mentioning their declining image has been cut under the rationale (quote) "This is still inflammatory and unneeded even with the edits. When in doubt, cut it out." The thing is, Bioware has lost a lot of its reputation during the last years. That isn't really flame bait, it can easily be seen by critical reception or looking into their forums.
If the page is not getting a YMMV page, I think we should at least restore that sentence, but I didn't want to do it right away to avoid edit warring.
